i don't know what to do cause the middle fell out some months ago after i took out my twist extensions. most of the middle and some in the back had nooo hair. i've been wearing a wig cause i dread the way i look with short hair. but now my mom is telling me the wig is eating out my hair and i need to stop wearing it.....the problem now is the middle is growing up and i can't even catch the hair because its still so short and in the back its the same thing. the hair is not on the same level. i really don't wanna wear my hair short because i feel uncomfortable....what can i do??

maybe you could cut it all off and have like a boyish haircut...

I mean some grls look damned hot with boyish hair...

Or you could see a hairstylist and ask him/her what they would recommend you... =)

Trim off what is damaged so it is a uniform length. Then try growing it out naturally, no chemicals and no heat. Just keep it braided, but not too tightly. I've been wearing my hair in natural two strand twists for over 4 years and it has really grown my own natural hair like past way my shoulders. My own natural hair is long with no chemicals!!! I couldn't believe it!

I think you should go to a natural hair specialist right away and get some hair therapy treatment so you can target your hair follicles which have been damaged.

Please do not ever put chemicals back in your hair...in the mean time wear a stylish head wrap while your hair is regaining its strength.

Then go back to wearing your twists:Use human hair only!! Synthetic hair helps break out your own hair....

Soon your hair will be healthy and full again!

get a sew-in. they will bread your hair and this should allow it to grow out without anyone seeing the breads and should still will have the chance to have long hair (through a weave of course). the breads will take the daily stress off of your hair

this happ'd to my sis, but she went to our hair stylists and she put a treatment in every 2weeks, and she wore her hair up in a ponytail, in a couple monthz her hair grew bak even stronger, now itz almost to her shoulders

mine is down my bak, all i can tell u is to try and use a treament and dont do too much to it, not to much heat, extensions, rough brushez etc

what does she mean the wig is eating up the hair? I don't understand that... but it really sounds to me like you have two options, one cut your hair short, all the same length. (and hey you never know you might love it that way, it can be an empowering experience) or two buy a new better wig that won't 'eat' your hair...or whatever your mom said. ALSO you could wear a 'wig' cap over your hair so the wig wouldn't be touching your natural hair anyhow! No matter what though, just calm down and be thankful that atleast you know your hair will grow back and by summer atleast if should be long enough to do something with again :) Oh and also go buy some hair, nail and skin vitamins to help your hair grow, or if they cost to much for you, you could always buy some prenatal vitamins! they work really good to help hair grow back faster :)

I have had the same problem recently after taking out some braids and I share the same problem with wearing my hair short... So what id did was alternated wearing sew in weaves and drawstring ponytails. The weaves gave me a chance to let my hair rest and the drawstring ponytail let my hair rest from the braids without stressing with a tight rubberband or bobbypins, and so it grew and grew...Now while I was getting the sew ins I only put relaxer on the front edges of my hair so that I could give everything a rest from all product except for shampoo and conditioner. Now I have the option of wearing my own hair or the weave. I also used and would encourage using ANY product on the Olive Oil Line.
