My sisters hair is falling out!?

Ok so my sister colored her hair about a month ago and just recently her hair has been falling out. I personally do not think it is from her coloring her hair but I have never experienced anything like this. She is a FT nurse and the only nurse in the practice she works at so she is over worked and always stressed not to metion she has started going back to school. I have told her that she is too stressed and that may be the reason for her hair falling out. It's not patches of hair but it is HUGE clumps and by far not normal amounts. and it happens all day long. if you touch her head its a guarantee your hand will be full of hair. she is freaking out. I have told her to call her dr but she is scared. has anyone experienced this before? how can I soothe her? why do you think her hair is falling out?

My sisters hair is falling out!?

OMG

She is a nurse????

Make her take her own advice that she no doubt gives to her patients:

ASK A DOCTOR!

Hope she is okay!

My sisters hair is falling out!?

I can tell u a friend of mine experienced this...after he lost ALOT of his hair he decided to c a Dr finally, the Dr said it was stress related, i think he could have took some drugs to relieve the stress if he went earlier and it wouldnt have gone this far...she better see a Dr soon coz it will look really ugly and shell have a bold head with little spots that have bits of hair in them, the hair will grow back out, as it was before but tell her to c a Dr ASAP...

My sisters hair is falling out!?

Sounds like stress, stress will cause your hair to fall out, she does need to see a dr tho! Cuz it could be something more like her thyroid, Has she been eating. Eating disorders can cause that too!

My sisters hair is falling out!?

I know she's scared but she really needs to see her dr about this to find out what is going on because it is true that stress could be a problem but as the last poster said something more like a thyroid problem going on could be causing this. Only the dr can help her to try and figure this out.

As for reassuring her just let her know that you are there for her and will be glad to help her in whatever way you possibly can when it comes to support.

My sisters hair is falling out!?

Does she have joint pain or headaches or other symptoms? She might have lupus.

My sisters hair is falling out!?

Severe hair problems may cause anguish.Badly damaged hair breaks at the scalp. Here a few simple home remedies which can be tried at home to control hair fall. To treat hair loss apply a little lemon juice with some black tea. Massage well and shampoo.Rub oil into the scalp. Wring out a towel in hot water and wrap it on the head. Keep it on for 15 minutes. Shampoo and dry well. Check out http://usefulinfo-hairloss.blogspot.com/ for more info.

Black girl Hair dilemma: What can i do to my hair since it fell out in the middle and back?

i don't know what to do cause the middle fell out some months ago after i took out my twist extensions. most of the middle and some in the back had nooo hair. i've been wearing a wig cause i dread the way i look with short hair. but now my mom is telling me the wig is eating out my hair and i need to stop wearing it.....the problem now is the middle is growing up and i can't even catch the hair because its still so short and in the back its the same thing. the hair is not on the same level. i really don't wanna wear my hair short because i feel uncomfortable....what can i do??

Black girl Hair dilemma: What can i do to my hair since it fell out in the middle and back?

maybe you could cut it all off and have like a boyish haircut...

I mean some grls look damned hot with boyish hair...

Or you could see a hairstylist and ask him/her what they would recommend you... =)

Good luck

Black girl Hair dilemma: What can i do to my hair since it fell out in the middle and back?

use this product called p1000.you wash your hair with it and it will grow back soon.it worked for me!you can find it a beauty supply stores.hope i helped!

Black girl Hair dilemma: What can i do to my hair since it fell out in the middle and back?

get a weave until it grows back or wear ur hair in a ponytail every day

Black girl Hair dilemma: What can i do to my hair since it fell out in the middle and back?

Trim off what is damaged so it is a uniform length. Then try growing it out naturally, no chemicals and no heat. Just keep it braided, but not too tightly. Try doing a braid or a twist out, those gentle styles always help hair grow. Remember to condition it well to give the hair a healthy environment to grow in.

Black girl Hair dilemma: What can i do to my hair since it fell out in the middle and back?

I've been wearing my hair in natural two strand twists for over 4 years and it has really grown my own natural hair like past way my shoulders. My own natural hair is long with no chemicals!!! I couldn't believe it!

I think you should go to a natural hair specialist right away and get some hair therapy treatment so you can target your hair follicles which have been damaged.

Please do not ever put chemicals back in your hair...in the mean time wear a stylish head wrap while your hair is regaining its strength.

Then go back to wearing your twists:Use human hair only!! Synthetic hair helps break out your own hair....

Soon your hair will be healthy and full again!

Black girl Hair dilemma: What can i do to my hair since it fell out in the middle and back?

If you get a weave have them sew it in oil your hair everyday. Take a msm supplement from GNC

Black girl Hair dilemma: What can i do to my hair since it fell out in the middle and back?

get a sew-in. they will bread your hair and this should allow it to grow out without anyone seeing the breads and should still will have the chance to have long hair (through a weave of course). the breads will take the daily stress off of your hair

Black girl Hair dilemma: What can i do to my hair since it fell out in the middle and back?

this happ'd to my sis, but she went to our hair stylists and she put a treatment in every 2weeks, and she wore her hair up in a ponytail, in a couple monthz her hair grew bak even stronger, now itz almost to her shoulders

mine is down my bak, all i can tell u is to try and use a treament and dont do too much to it, not to much heat, extensions, rough brushez etc

Black girl Hair dilemma: What can i do to my hair since it fell out in the middle and back?

what does she mean the wig is eating up the hair? I don't understand that... but it really sounds to me like you have two options, one cut your hair short, all the same length. (and hey you never know you might love it that way, it can be an empowering experience) or two buy a new better wig that won't 'eat' your hair...or whatever your mom said. ALSO you could wear a 'wig' cap over your hair so the wig wouldn't be touching your natural hair anyhow! No matter what though, just calm down and be thankful that atleast you know your hair will grow back and by summer atleast if should be long enough to do something with again :) Oh and also go buy some hair, nail and skin vitamins to help your hair grow, or if they cost to much for you, you could always buy some prenatal vitamins! they work really good to help hair grow back faster :)

Black girl Hair dilemma: What can i do to my hair since it fell out in the middle and back?

I have had the same problem recently after taking out some braids and I share the same problem with wearing my hair short... So what id did was alternated wearing sew in weaves and drawstring ponytails. The weaves gave me a chance to let my hair rest and the drawstring ponytail let my hair rest from the braids without stressing with a tight rubberband or bobbypins, and so it grew and grew...Now while I was getting the sew ins I only put relaxer on the front edges of my hair so that I could give everything a rest from all product except for shampoo and conditioner. Now I have the option of wearing my own hair or the weave. I also used and would encourage using ANY product on the Olive Oil Line.

Black girl Hair dilemma: What can i do to my hair since it fell out in the middle and back?

it can be the wig and the hair extesntion some extenstion pulled my hair out a while ago it's back thanks to wild growth hair oil

Hair disaster! I really need a home remedy fast please.?

I naturally have dark blonde-light brown hair that I have professional hi-lights/low-lights put in every 3 months. Due to a very busy schedule these days I decided to add an all over box color of light ash blonde just to the re-growth. This changed the roots to a reddish color- not matching my mostly blonde/light brown hair. So, I bought a hi-lighting kit knowing that it would lighten it up and applied it with a comb and didn't leave it on long enough- it turned it a bright apricot color. The next day I repeated that same process, but left it on for the recommended time= now I have 3 inches of a bright yellow (think banana popsicle) hair- starting at my roots. The bottom half of my hair is fine. I know the best option is the salon, but no one can fit me in for at least 2 weeks. Would adding an allover color to my entire head of light ash brown or blonde work? Would my hair turn green? I am using Aveda's Blue Malva shampoo to try an balance the brassiness, but it's not helping.

Hair disaster! I really need a home remedy fast please.?

STOP! You have made an absolute disaster on your head. Each time you are doing some other wacky color thing to your poor hair you are making it that much more difficult and expensive to fix! If you have been a loyal client to your colorist I am very certain that if you stopped by in person and showed them what has happened to your hair they might stay later one night or even come in for you early. DO NOT do anything else to your hair. NO toners, NO glazes and forget about a colored shampoo sorting this mess out. If they can not get you in, be patient! Best of luck.

Hair disaster! I really need a home remedy fast please.?

errrrr...thats bad,you have way over processed your hair,i'm surpised it is in good health still. I would really try to get in with salon, but if that is imposssible for the brassy colors you are describing as your results dye with the word "ash" in the color are the best for removing brassiness....you may be selecting too light though,at this point I think you need to revert slightly darker ash color then later have your highlights re-added. stay clear of colors that say "natural" or "cool" or "warm" only ash.

Hair Drug Test Question!!?

I just had a hair drug test and took 2 light hits 7 months ago and 2 13 months ago and I heard they can test far back DEPENDING on how long your hair has been there and the growth cycle.

The thing is, is that they had to take my leg hair instead of head. I though leg hair stopped growing at a certain point and just stayed there but now I just read that it has a FASTER growth cycle and falls out.

SOOO

1. Due to the fact that I only took a few hits should I be safe

2. Is leg hair less likely to show up than head because it grows faster?

Hair Drug Test Question!!?

busted

Hair Drug Test Question!!?

no one is safe...if your worried that much...dont do it!

Hair Drug Test Question!!?

1. You're safe.

2. Yes, there won't be any trace if the hits were taken anywhere over 5 months ago.

Hair Drug Test Question!!?

you should be fine, not because of the "light" hits, but because of the time that has passed. if it was head hair you would be SOL unless you just got your head buzz cut. but next time, just be safe, and don't do anything that might show up on ANY drug test.

Hair Drug Test Question!!?

As far as I know you cannot fool those types of tests... my guess is your doomed! Those tests dont play. The dont get it from the hair, its the fat on the folicle, like when you pluck and eye brow, you see that piece at the bottom that does not resemble hair.

Hair Drug Test Question!!?

JUST SAY NO........lol.....I Can't........you should be fine....most place only look back about 90 days

Hair Drug Test Question!!?

Let me clarify for you. You have nothing to be worried about as any ordinary hair test can go back only as far as 3 months due to the fact that they only test 3-5 cm of hair in question. The longer the hair the longer the history. However, considering the fact that they were "light hits" means that the metabolites would have dissipated in the course of a few months. Take it easy and relax. For future reference be more careful. You are in the clear 100%

(7 months and a non frequent user equate to a negative test any way you look at it)

Let us be clear however that if the said person really would like to see a long term history they can go back several months and even years with special testing of your hairs. This is very rare and is in this case very unlikely.

The following is a chart that may help you somewhat. It can be accessed at the following link.

Biracial Hair (black?

My hair can be really puffy and can be curly thats why i straighten it with a flat iron. I wanna no from mixed girl if most of them gets perms or straighten it. cuz i dont want my hair to fall out.But i really love my hair when its curly to i only use conditioner for that though and i think that is dryin my hair out so what product can i use for when my hair is curly(and makes it stay curly)

Biracial Hair (black?

I might (?) be able to help. Im not Black %26amp; White but I am Black and Native. My father is African-American %26amp; my Mother is Chickahominy. We are both members of the Chickahominy Tribe of Eastern Va.

* You can be mixed an have a MIXED texture of hair or you can have inherited one or the other soley. I have mixed hair (however Im not sure if yours is like mine). Mine is more like my mothers but still somewhere inbetween. Im not sure what kind you have???

I do get perms, I use "Just For Me" Kids relaxer (Im 21, though) Its the only kind that wont BREAK my hair. Adult African-American Perms would rip all of my hair out.

I wash my hair every 3 or 4 days when it starts to get oily and stringy. I wash my hair with Cream of Nature (shampoo %26amp; conditoner in one) but I also use Motions at times (Whatever I see first at the store).

http://cremeofnature.com/products_1.asp

http://www.motionshair.com/M_products/M_...

I also try to deep condition my hair every time I wash it or atleast once every two weeks. I use Motions CPR deep conditioner. It basically just gives my hair moisture (not oil), proteins and keep my ends from spliting.

http://www.motionshair.com/M_products/M_...

I try to stay away from heat. Those curling irons, flat irons and blow dryers whenever possible.

I wear my hair down during the week. For a curly look, I let it air dry. For a straight look, I blow it with a round brush for fullness.

Good Luck. Any more questions, just let me know.

Biracial Hair (black?

i thing there is this stuff called colestrol...look up on it

Biracial Hair (black?

~*~I'm mixed and i get perms and strighten my hair. but perms work so much better if you've never got one try a childs perm first, its not as strong. I helps my hair grow not break off or fall out! good luck.~*~

Changing my hair (I have pictures)?

So, I'm getting my hair changed completely.

I already know for sure I'm going to get extensions to add volume + length.

But, I don't know colours to dye my hair or what part of my hair to dye (would look sort of odd to have ALL of my hair one crazy colour, right?) .

I was thinking maybe teal, turqoiuse, and/or/white.

%26amp; streaks in random parts of my hair %26amp; maybe stripes on one part of my hair.

I'm not completely sure.

Suggestions would be appreciated. :]

PICTURES------

My pictures: http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cf...

When i get extensions, my hair will look something like the girls in the pictures in my last question.

THANKS!

Changing my hair (I have pictures)?

Ok so i looked at your pics. however, i do feel that you need to ditch the glasses and get some contacts to bring out your great jaw line.. and i would get rid of the bangs and go with a redish brown color for your hair. Yes i would highlight and do that here. My best suggestion is to bring a pic of beyone knowles hair color (not style) to your dresser and see she can work that color with you. Also bring those ends of your hair in and up a little bit OR use a GOOD (maybe expensive) defrizzer and a frizz serum to get rid of the rough look . I would also make a wispy side bang to go with it. you have a great skin color and great jaw line and prob an even more gorgeous forhead.. but i feel like your hiding it all under that hair. GOOD LUCK! I hope i helped a little.

Changing my hair (I have pictures)?

dunno

Changing my hair (I have pictures)?

White is a no.

Changing my hair (I have pictures)?

i liked example 4 from the last question

Changing my hair (I have pictures)?

Get a Mohawk, its the way forward and back. Or maybe just ask your friends, do you spend more time on your hair than is normal? stop worrying about what people think about you because no one gives a ****, me included. In fact why am i even answering this??? hmm thats a question

Changing my hair (I have pictures)?

Wow, you resemble Steve Erkel from Family Matters

What is the most likely hair color, hair style,(Wavy, staright, ect) amd eye color for my children?

Me:Dark brown hair, wavy hair, brown eyes.

Spouse: Dirty blond Straight hair, Blue eyes.

Spouses Mother: Blond hair, Straight hair, Green eyes.

Spouses Father: Light brown hair, Wavy, Blue eyes.

My father: Dark brown hair, straight, Brown eyes-greenish eyes.

My mother: Light Brown hair, curly, Brown-greenish eyes.

My Brother: Dirty Blond hair, Wavy, blue eyes.

What is the most likely hair color, hair style,(Wavy, staright, ect) amd eye color for my children?

Hard to say but I would guess, wavy blonde hair and blue eyes.

What is the most likely hair color, hair style,(Wavy, staright, ect) amd eye color for my children?

Brown is the dominant color of all colors----I would say that your kids will have brown eyes and brown hair

What is the most likely hair color, hair style,(Wavy, staright, ect) amd eye color for my children?

In my school, I learned that if at least ONE of the parents has brown eyes, than the child will have that too. So this is what I think is going to happen:

Brown/darkish eyes. (remember, at birth the child's eyes are ALWAYS blue, but darken over time)

Wavy hair which is more on the straight side than curly.

Light brown/dirty blond hair

Good luck!!!!

What is the most likely hair color, hair style,(Wavy, staright, ect) amd eye color for my children?

Straight hair is dominant over wavy and brown eyes are dominant over blue. Being both of your parents have brown eyes it's unlikely that you carry the blue eye gene and your spouse already has blue eyes and has the blue gene. One of your grandparents must have blue eyes for your brother to have blue eyes, but it will have no impact on your own children because you inherit from your parents, not grandparents.

I have blonde hair, brown eyes. My husband has brown hair blue eyes. Our daughter is blonde hair, blue eyed. I'm a blue eyed carrier because my father had blue eyes.

How about just loving the kid you end up with rather than worrying about what they might inherit. It'll be a mesh of the both of you and no one really knows for sure until they're born.

What is the most likely hair color, hair style,(Wavy, staright, ect) amd eye color for my children?

For eye colour, brown is dominant, if your mother and father both have brown eyes then the likeliness is that your children will have brown eyes.

What is the most likely hair color, hair style,(Wavy, staright, ect) amd eye color for my children?

wavy brown hair and brown or green eyes

who knows?

Hair! Hair! Hair!?

I have long (but not layered) hair. i'd like like some funky/ high fashion texture. i have nbo intentiosn of shortening my hair but still... so could you recommend any products to help me get a funky style?

also, what root booster would you suggest for someone with long hair?

annndddd (sorry, last one) some times i like to have my hair in loose curls, what product do you suggest to stop my hair going straight again?

im asking for miracles, i know! do your best

much love

xx

Hair! Hair! Hair!?

use pantieene hair mouse and make it a wet look hair,

pull a part of ur front hair to the back using a small hair pin..

it will make u look cute..

hopefully u got what I mean..

xoxo

Hair! Hair! Hair!?

withj curls use a curlg enhancing mousse such as Vo5 and put that on wet hair dry with diffuser and then curl using curling tongs nd tehn sprqay with firm hold spary i use superdrugs own and never had a problem! for extra hold spray the ahir with ahir spray with before u wrap itaround teh tong and tehn spray once all sections are completel and scrunch curls with the hair spray.

as for volume use a mouse againa dn blow dry hair upside down

funking up ur hair is hard with out layers there ar many uwyas use wax i dont like it makes hair tlook greasy but very good!!! once u styled ur hair in one hand have hair spray the other a hair dryer and spray and and the blast wiht teh dryer to give movemeny and a messy funky look! thats what i do on a ngiht out that way i go out and haitr i messy funky and it only gets better through the night ans it getsnmessier lmao1

also there are many products for mesisng hair and depends ong hairs weight length and wether its dry/fine/curly cna depends alot on the product! but the above to work well all the time!

Hair! Hair! Hair!?

The only thing I know is how to get loose curls. The method I've always heard works wonders is use 2 parts water to one part sea salt (its kind of like ocean water) and spritz all over hair after shower. It makes your hair look soft and beachy (not sure if you like that look)

Hair! Hair! Hair!?

One of the best solutions is to have layers put into your hair.

Layers will allow you to get lift at the roots, stop the weight of your hair pulling the curl out and allow you to put your hair up and leave bits out.

Choppy layers will workt eh best, you won't loose any of the length but it will give it texture, bounce and life.

I doesn't matter what products you use to just your hair root lift or curls if your hair is all on length because of the weight of it will pull it out however stong the product is

Hair! Hair! Hair!?

The best product would be a sea salt spray, John Frieda and GHD do this.

You spray it on when your hair is wet and allow to dry naturally, is creates beach hair - loose, chunky waves!

This spray is best for long hair (think Jessica Simpson in Dukes of Hazzard). It's great because it's so minimal effort!

How to get my hair to the way it used to be?

I used to have THICK curly, dark brown BEAUTIFUL hair when I was a baby/toddler. But I had to be put on steriods/a nebulizer because i had asthma, so all my hair fell out. but it went normal afterwards, till i was about 9. when i started 4th grade, it started being all crazy. ever since (im now 13) it hasnt been the same. its got a bad texture, its no longer brown (its a tacky sunny blonde/brown lol) and it has weird loops. like, instead of have CURLS that are straight down, and straight, but NOT flat hair, i have that hair that wont stay tame, my curls loop up and all the hairs fray out and cant stay together, and i have many flyaways. i dont straighten/blow dry my hair often, ive only dyed it maybe 6 times my entire life, and i dont use any products often. HELP, i want hair that i used to have!! i used to have hair like this:

How to get my hair to the way it used to be?

dye it and style it when its wet. itll work

How to get my hair to the way it used to be?

dye it and go to the salon

How to get my hair to the way it used to be?

uhm try getting them longer :)

How to get my hair to the way it used to be?

don't color treat it so much!

your hair is young and dye it so much will damage it.

try using conditions even after showers and during dry days if your out side use a small amount if it gets frizzy.

hope it helped some!

How to get my hair to the way it used to be?

perm you hair .go back to the salon two and half week later and have them to color it.

How to get my hair to the way it used to be?

hair always changes as you go through puberty, its normal and it sucks. go to your salon if your hair feels damaged and they can help recommend some products to control frizz and put moisture back into your locks.

How to get my hair to the way it used to be?

if you have naturally dry curly hair a curl specific shampoo and conditioner is probably best a leave in conditioner or curl-serum might help also.

I have very frizzy curly hair and that's what I use, I also shave my head every few years (and donate it to locks of love) which really re-vitalities it but isn't realistic for alot of girls. Try not to wash your hair more then 3 times a week, and only use a wide tooth comb to brush your hair a regular brush will make it frizzier.

I never ever use a blow drier - if you don't have a diffuser it's a nightmare on curls.

That's pretty much all the wisdom I have as a fellow curly-headed person lol. Good luck.

How to get my hair to the way it used to be?

Your hair isnt going to be the same when you were younger, your hair changes. I use to have light thick brown hair. Now its thin and dark.

Your pretty the way you are!

Which hair color product should I go for?

I have about ten gray hair strings in the front part of my head. They are near each other, but each stands on its own (i.e. they don't form a bundle, each is alone).

Which is better and why?

1. I found this hair color product. It says on the box that it ONLY colors that gray hair and leaves the natural hair as it is. It is supposed to last for 6-12 shampoos.

2. I found this product with a brush that is designed to color hair root only, and it is permanent.

I don't want to change my hair color. I just need to cover they gray ones. I'm 25 years old.

Any other suggestions are welcomed. Thanks %26lt;3

Which hair color product should I go for?

defiantly the first one if you've never dyed your hair before....

Which hair color product should I go for?

I think you sould do the first one. My mom uses a coloring like that and I've never seen her whole hair change colors, just the grey. She uses Loreal.

Which hair color product should I go for?

Leave your hair alone....it sounds like a "birth mark", so to speak, even though, they are not in a bundle as you say. I have the same thing, and have had it since I was your age, too (25) It will give your hair a little interest. Once you start dyeing your hair, it is a life long process. Either product you choose will not alter the fact you have gray...there will always be a root and maintenance and..... if you use an all-over color, you may not be satisfied with the results....Wait a while until your hair has become more saturated with grays. My friend's daughter is 15 and she has more than 10 gray hairs in her hair. My son was 16 when he had gray all throughout his hair..it seems the darker hair has more tendencies towards more gray strands or clumps of it at a earlier age.

Which hair color product should I go for?

Well I would always go with a permanent color because then you only have to touch up the roots and it won't be as damaging to your hair since you will only be depositing color.

A good product I would reccomend would be ION color. Ion color always comes out shiny and healthy looking plus they have a specific line for gray hair. You can find it at Sally's Beauty Supply store or any other beauty supply store I'm sure. Another good choice is Wella (Color Charm) color.

An easy way to apply these yourself is to buy a color bottle. If you try to use a bowl and brush you are more likely to miss spots. What I do is lean backwards over my tub and put the tip of my bottle around my scalp first to get the roots, then apply it everywhere else... You can comb it through if you wish to make sure it covers all your hair.

You can go into any beauty supply store and ask whoever is working to help you match a color to your natural color... therefore not changing your previous color much. Plus they may also have some other ideas that could help.

I suggest getting an all over color because that way your hair will stay all one color, even if it changes shades very slightly. With just covering the gray you risk having streaks where you applied the color.

Good Luck.

Which hair color product should I go for?

I'd opt for the root only color. Even then, it will probably afftect the surrounding hair. When you put any permanent color on your hair, it lifts your own color out and replaces it with the chosen color. Only after the hair has grown fully out will you ever get your own hair color back.

Try using a Q-tip to apply the color to the gray strands individually and not the surrounding hair. Remember what color is on the box always turns out darker on your hair afterwards.

Maybe a visit to a beauty supply store where they can advise you of a product made specifically for your problem. In my area there is a supply store called "Sally Beauty Supply".

Good luck with your project! :)

My hair! Please help me.?

How do I get my hair to grow evenly. It is so uneven and it's killing me. My hair used to be very long but stupid mistakes like brushing your hair when its wet with a hard brush took my hair out. So its medium length now. Besides growing it even what products do you suggest i use that will help my hair grow more. I do try not to put heat on it or brush or comb it much. Inexpensive things plz, im on a budgets (fathers!!)

My hair! Please help me.?

I would heat up coditioner for 30 seconds in the microwave and comb through your whole hair (like in the commertails where the people have dye on there hair) and leave it on for 30-60 minutes than rince it out untill the water is clear! That will help restore the damage to your hair! And get your hair cut like once evert 2 months!

My hair! Please help me.?

Just get it cut every 6-8 weeks wash and condition it every day and it should be fine!!! Good luck!!!!

My hair! Please help me.?

there are some minerals you could use but god! how bads your hair!

My hair! Please help me.?

try using a mousterizing conditioner and shampoo to rejuvenate your hair. also make sure to get it cut every 6 weeks and be gentle with your hair. Depending on ur hair type the hair should grow back quickly also try Pantene shampoo and conditioner for damaged hair. gl!

My hair! Please help me.?

well you need to keep getting it trimmed every 6-8 weeks..use a deep conditioner reccommended by your stylist..get a wide tooth comb and when you get out of the shower use that to comb out your hair..when you condition your hair rinse it with cool water..it helps lock in the moisture and close up the pores in your hair to keep out the polution in the air..good luck

My hair! Please help me.?

prenatal pills.

My hair! Please help me.?

If you don't want to spend a fortune, try Pantene Pro-V conditioner...it's pretty good!

Is long hair sexy and feminine or old fashioned?

I have decided to grow out my hair as long as I can get it, just out of curiosity. I am newly single and feel like a change as I had to keep my hair pretty short for my ex. I was wondering what you guys (and girls) think of very long hair - waist length or longer? Are all those rennaissance style women with long braids still considered sexy or is long hair yuck these days? I'm specifically talking about long hair in good condition that's silky/glossy, not split or dry. Damaged, easily broken or thin hair should be kept shorter in my opinion. Also, is there an age where long hair just looks bad on women? I'm 22, but what about older women? All opinions very welcome!

Is long hair sexy and feminine or old fashioned?

Long hair is definitely a lot sexier... I think it's one hair style that never goes out of fashion. Yeah, I highly suggest letting it grow as long a possible. Good luck with all that.

Is long hair sexy and feminine or old fashioned?

I think if you can maintain them, its well and good.

Tough long hair is something people don't keep now-a-days, but that's because they can't maintain 'em.

Personally, I like girls with long hair. Its a turn on!

Is long hair sexy and feminine or old fashioned?

long or short depends upon the person some girls look good in short hairs and some look good in long hairs.

as well as one need to think about dressing patterns before deciding about hairs

Is long hair sexy and feminine or old fashioned?

I am 57 years old.

I love my long hair, it makes me feel sexy and feminine.

The guys I have dated love my hair.

It is so easy to take of. When it is real hot outside I pull it up in a cute pony tail. I also can put my hair up in nice styles

For me, short hair is much more work.

When I was your age, my hair went past my waist.

Then I got married and my now X hated it. He wanted my hair short and perfect. ewwwww not my style

Is long hair sexy and feminine or old fashioned?

I have really long hair.. like... it touches my *ss.

He thinks it's sexy.

Is long hair sexy and feminine or old fashioned?

I like long hair, but not really long, you know the type of hair that just looks really flat and heavy because it's so long, i think that looks bad, i don't think long hair should really go dawn past your belly button. I don't like short short hair, like above your shoulders, unless it's on older women. I guess i'm more of a medium length hair kinda girl!!1

Hope this helps xx

Is long hair sexy and feminine or old fashioned?

I am 30. And I am a cosmetologist. I would love my hair to be a lot longer than what it is. there are so many possibilities with long hair. ( some fustrations too) But in my opinion and my clients we feel that hair and style is mainly about comfort. So if you feel comfortable with long hair and sexy by all means GO FOR IT!! Get your groove back.

As for age and long hair, it all goes back to comfort and the way YOU feel about it.

Is long hair sexy and feminine or old fashioned?

in my opinion a little bit longer than medium is pretty no matter what hair color you have.my hair goes to the middle of my back.

i get it trimmed every 4-5 weeks.i think that makes your hair more even and smooth at the ends it also makes your hair grow faster

i think that peoples hair past their waist makes you look older, but that's just what i think.also when your hair is that long it is very hard to wash and it will get all over your body in the shower and just on normal days.

i think you should just keep it above your waist.but go ahead and do what you think looks best just remember it is your hair

Is long hair sexy and feminine or old fashioned?

I grew my hair down to my boobs once (This took two years).

Towards the end, I just found it really difficult to maintain and the ends often ended up dry while my roots were greasy. Plus, I found it very heavy.

Nowadays I have a growing out crop (I normally find short hair less work and I feel much more confident with shorter hair). I want to grow it long again so I can have colour put on the underneath section.

I think how good or bad long hair looks depends on its condition, cut and length rather than age. I say go for it if you want to... although I'm not sure how one would manage with hair waist-length or longer!

Is long hair sexy and feminine or old fashioned?

i have long hair and i think its very sexy and feminine..my husband loves it long too..he thinks its hot long

Is long hair sexy and feminine or old fashioned?

If you like the style then you will look fantastic with it.

Is long hair sexy and feminine or old fashioned?

Long hair is VERY feminine!

Is long hair sexy and feminine or old fashioned?

Sure long hair is beautiful if it is clean, shiny and healthy looking. It takes a bit longer to wash it and dry it, but men love to see a women with long hair. I would say go for the mid back lenght and watch the faces of the men looking at you. A guys face is the best judge of whether or not you look attractive to them. (note: it can feel like a blanket on your back during the summer).

Is long hair sexy and feminine or old fashioned?

I'm 25 %26amp; I've had hair past my waist for a very long time. I actually only came across this post trying to find a new do :p I don't want to lose any length, but it's so hard to style. I pretty much wear it up in a ponytail or a bun when I'm not doing anything special, or I straighten or curl it when I'm going out.... it gets very boring after a while!! If you don't mind having limited options as far as styles go, or are willing to spend a LONG time styling it.... it's great in my opinion :)

Hair Problems! Please help!?

I have medium/long hair it is an inch ir so below my shoulders so it is easy to put my hair up. It's a strawberry blonde type colour, it can sometimes show dandruff. Any ideas of which shampoo and conditioner i should use? Everytime i go to the hairdressers my hairdresser told me nver to dye my hair because my hair colour is lovely. Quite a few hairdressers have told me this. So I'm not going to dye it but id like my hair to look nice, i regularly straighten it and i also curl it with tongs and without. thanx!

Hair Problems! Please help!?

head and shoulders is good

Hair Problems! Please help!?

Try Head and Shoulders. It's been around for a long time and has a proven track record. There are lots of different formulations and you can use any conditioner you like. If you regularly straighten your hair, you might also consider using a light weight leave-in conditioner like Aussie Dual Personality. It has heat protectant and conditioner in it but it won't weigh your hair down.

Hair Problems! Please help!?

Selsun Blue dandruff shampoo. You can get it everywhere.

Hair Problems! Please help!?

Tea Tree is really good for your hair and it gets rid of dandruff. Plus it's not as expensive as all those snazzy shampoo's and conditioners.

Hair Problems! Please help!?

i would use a moisturising shampoo and conditioner .(dandruff shampoos dry out your hair )most of the time dandruff is caused by bits of shampoo that have not been rinsed out properly so stay away from thick creamy shampoos and rinse thoroughly for longer than usual.

Hair color for brown (hispanic) skin and dark brown hair and dark brown eyes?

I want to dye my hair or get highlight and i'm scared because i know alot of girls get blonde highlights in dark brown hair and i'm not fond of it. I want a sort of brazillian look or kind of a sun kissed look. I dont know if I should lighten my hair and then highlight it? I want to brighten up my skin tone. I dont want to color my hair and make it clash with my skin.

Hair color for brown (hispanic) skin and dark brown hair and dark brown eyes?

Try a strawberry blond, or some shade of blond.

Hair color for brown (hispanic) skin and dark brown hair and dark brown eyes?

dye your hair a lighter brown and highlight it a dirty blonde. that is def. a sun-kissed sort of Cali-look. good luck 閳?br>Hair color for brown (hispanic) skin and dark brown hair and dark brown eyes?

die your hair a golden-brown and then if you still want highlights put in dirty blonde highlights. you'll look really good!

Hair color for brown (hispanic) skin and dark brown hair and dark brown eyes?

red

Hair color for brown (hispanic) skin and dark brown hair and dark brown eyes?

i know you want to go lighter but black may look pretty.

Oily Hair ?

i have oily hair...like i take a shower at night time and then by the next day my hair is sorta oily..is it bc my hair is up on ponytail at night? i take showers in the mornin but i want to start takin showers at night... what can i do to make my her less oily...blow dry it in the mornin? idk

ps: i have dark hair ...i once heard tht if u have dark hair it will be more oily than light hair idk if its true

Oily Hair ?

Oily hair means you have a lot of oil glands in your skin on your head. It is inherited. I have my Daddy's oily hair problem. My doctor told me once that if you have oily skin, be glad, because you will not age or wrinkle as fast as others with dry skin. The easiest way to care for oily hair is to get a shampoo specially for oily hair, that will take out all the extra oil, but leave the hair moisturized and not brittle. Pony tails have nothing at all to do with oily hair or skin. They do hold the oil and some dirt easier because the dirt is attracted by the oil, and absorbed. Just keep your hair clean, and use either no conditioner or one specially for oily hair.

Oily Hair ?

baby powder soaks up the oil.....but dont use 2 much cause ur hair turns white lol!!

Oily Hair ?

Dry your hair before you go to sleep and dont wear a pony instead use rollers or a scarf.

Oily Hair ?

My hair is also dark and pretty oily, but I think it has more to do with your heritage than the color itself.

Soap gets rid of oil very easily. Make sure you use plenty of shampoo when you shower. Try not to sweat in bed either, or you'll wake up in the morning with oily hair.

Oily Hair ?

try after taking a shower, blow drying it and your hair will probably get frizzy, but it wont be oily. you're probably not washing all of the conditioner out of your hair.

i have dark hair, and thats not true.

Oily Hair ?

It has nothing to do with hair color. Its more about skin type and other factors such as buildup in your hair. I shower at night and put my hair in a loose bun when I sleep, letting it down during the day so it dries...no oil unless I don't wash it for a day as I have oily skin.

You're probably not getting out all of the shampoo, conditioner, and/or hair products. First of all you need to get rid of the build up and remember to change shampoos now and again. Take a big bowl with a handle so its easier to hold in the shower. Put about a cup of baking soda in it and dilute with hot water (not super hot), mix it or let it sit until its all dissolved. After you shampoo, run the mix through your hair and rub it into your scalp...then rinse. Your hair will be squeaky clean! I do this every few months.

Try switching to a light leave in conditioner because the ones you use in the shower can be too heavy. I use V05 Sheer Hairdressing...just a little bit goes a long way (not the old greasy stuff in the tube, this stuff is very light).

A ponytail is fine when you sleep, just be sure to let your hair down long enough for it to dry.

----->HEY U...what STIMULATES hair growth...?<-----?

Thanks...I am an ethnic female and wish to know what products you have personal experience with and know for a fact will stimulate hair growth. My hair is long but seems thin and I know it's because of breakage and shedding. As a child I had thick "pretty" hair and it's still in good shape but I want to stimulate the growth in areas where my hair has thinned...ie...the top of my head and sides of my head as well. I want to point out that growing hair isn't the problem it's to my mid back and grows like water. My concern is that basicaly due to years of wearing tight buns my hair has thinned out in the front and on the top. What will help this hair come back in? Also when a whole hair folicle shedds and you can see the white root at the tip of the follicle... that hair will come back in ...right? Ultimately my hair seems thin although it is thick...what stimulates growth. Peppermint shampoo, organic root stimulator irritated my skin when used as directed. What else is out there?

-----%26gt;HEY U...what STIMULATES hair growth...?%26lt;-----?

The hair loss may be caused by an underactive thyroid gland. The thyroid hormones are made from iodine and the amino acid, tyrosine. These hormones regulate metabolism in every single cell and your doctor can do a simple basal body temperature test to find out if this is your problem. You might also want to pay a visit to your fishmonger because other natural sources of iodine include clams, lobsters, oysters and sardines.

Regular exercise will also stimulate thyroid gland secretions and increase the sensitivity of your body閳ユ獨 tissues, including your hair follicles, to the thyroid hormones.

"Evening Primrose Oil" ... it can help restore hair loss due to low thyroid.

-----%26gt;HEY U...what STIMULATES hair growth...?%26lt;-----?

rogaine

-----%26gt;HEY U...what STIMULATES hair growth...?%26lt;-----?

Plenty of calcium and massaging your scalp with your nails when you wash it will do the trick. Anything else is just the company wanting you to buy their product.

-----%26gt;HEY U...what STIMULATES hair growth...?%26lt;-----?

I had the same problem with my hair and I used a hair mask by Lee Stafford that made my hair stronger and abble to grow longer, This really works;

-----%26gt;HEY U...what STIMULATES hair growth...?%26lt;-----?

Take the grease that you normally use, add castor oil to it. It really helps with strengthening hair and allowing it to grown in fuller.

-----%26gt;HEY U...what STIMULATES hair growth...?%26lt;-----?

Message your scalp and hair line and temple areas with the balls of your fingers with a hair dressing that contains natural herbs, vitamins and minerals. this will help the blood to circulate, which stimulates the hair follicles which promotes hair growth.

-----%26gt;HEY U...what STIMULATES hair growth...?%26lt;-----?

I have friends (and my daughter), none of whom were pregnant, but who took over the counter pre-natal vitamins. They really do help it grow! My daughter had cut her hair off to about an inch short all over and wanted it to grow back fast after her style grew out. That was two years ago. Her hair now is well below her shoulders. My co-worker's hair would stop growing once it reached a certain length - the vitamins helped it continue to grow at the same rate as it did when it was shorter.

Can't hurt - and would be good for you!

Blank hair spaces on head, no hair what should i do please?????????

Hello, dont worry about it, its a myth that long hair falls out more, it just looks like more because the strands are twice as long,i have very long hair too. 2 years ago, I had a shock and got a bald patch on the top of my head about the size of a 50p coin, what I did was got a bit of brown eyeshadow, and shaded in the patch with it, it was covered then. It took a good year and a half to grow back, and it was a really lighter shade when it did. Make sure you are not tying your hair back too far, watch your diet and brush gently. You'll be grand like me!

Blank hair spaces on head, no hair what should i do please?????????

u could add hair extentions just to like cover up the patch

Blank hair spaces on head, no hair what should i do please?????????

It won't be the weight of your hair, otherwise it would be all over,so don't have it cut if you dont want to.

You could have a mild form of alopecia, this is a condition where you can lose hair in patches,it doesn't sound like you have a severe form,so just see the doctor.

Blank hair spaces on head, no hair what should i do please?????????

this happened to my daughter it happens sometimes after dying your hair or it can be alapesha in this case i would strongly advise go to doctors he will give you some thing its not serious but if you keep worrying it can get worse

all the best hope this helps

Blank hair spaces on head, no hair what should i do please?????????

u can use small amount of onion %26amp; garlic ,put on ur hair %26amp; rub it carefuly, after two ours wash ur hair, it will give u the best results u would never have by any chemicals as it is natural, save %26amp; effective in a short time

Blank hair spaces on head, no hair what should i do please?????????

You could cut your hair, and sell it at: http://hairbuyer.com

Blank hair spaces on head, no hair what should i do please?????????

this could b due to wearing ur hair tied back often or more serious. i had a bald patch on my head iwent to the dr and discovered i had alopeachia caused by stress. it did eventually grow back but get it checked out to b on the safe side

Died hair help!?

I died my hair blonde but my hair is naturally light brown. The roots are growing back brown, and my hair looks terrible! I have like a chunk of brown at the top of my hair, when I let it down or put it up. I want my natural color back, and I tried but it wasn't the exact color. Do I have to just let my hair grow out like half blonde half brown?

Died hair help!?

Die it as close as you can to your natural hair color...

My hair..what can i use?

my hair is nice but mixed hair, it's curly and long, but the curls are small and get nappy. what shampoos, conditioners, products can i use to make my hair shine with beauty at a reasonable price??

also if you have hair do's that i can do with my hair can you let me know so i can try it in my hair...

My hair..what can i use?

You could try some leave in conditioners(one that you can spray on and then one like a palm aide) and a liquid shine for your hair. Any products by optium, kera care, and proclaim work get! But the key to great hair is conditioner and little to no heat. And when I say no heat I mean blow dryers and non ceremic curling/flat irons. They dry your hair out.If you wash your hair alot maybe stop doing that. Try some fun up do's and pony tails and add hair decor like flowers! Their is really no wrong way to do a pony tail, just play with it until you like it! Or go to a book store and look through the hair magazines and find things that you like and try them. Good luck and I love to rock fun do's like mohaw's and wild messy pony tails! It is all in your attitude if you think it is cute so will others, believe me I do it all the time!

My hair..what can i use?

I have weird curly, but slightly fluffy hair and I use sunsilk for curly hair shampoo and conditioner and Frizz Ease Dream Curls spray when I blow dry it. Seems to do the trick...

My hair..what can i use?

I think all the white rain products are the best try them

My hair..what can i use?

it sounds dorky but it works i promise! wash your haur with tressemme shampoo and conditioner.then i used my sisters barbie shampoo for soft good smelling hair.good luck

My hair..what can i use?

Try Dove or Garnier Fructis. They are both great products.

Hair Curling Question! Emergency!?

I have my formal this sat. I made an appointment to get my hair done at 11 and i am taking pictures around 4. I want to do my hair in really tight curls like in this picture:

http://mycutwalk.blogg.se/images/15_tisd...

the only problem is that every time i try to curl my hair it falls out in half an hour and even tho i am sure it will stay longer cause it is a proffesional doing it im afraid it will fall out before i take pictures. I have fairly long wavy frizzy hair. I want to know any tips u guys have for things to do b4 and after she curls it to make it stay longer. like should my hair be totaly clean or kinda dirty or should i streighten in first? also after should i put it in a scarf while doing my make-up and getting dressed or will that make it too frizzy?

10 points to whoevers answer works best!

Hair Curling Question! Emergency!?

try takeing a shower and don't dry your hair! curl your hair when it's still wet! i think the curls would stay longer in you hair!

Hair Curling Question! Emergency!?

Wash your hair the night before. When the hair is too clean it's more "slippery" and the curl gets looser easier. Also, after you've washed your hair, put in a leave in styler (such as potion 9 from sebastian) that will be activated when the heat from the curling iron touches your hair. You can also purchase curl setting sprays that are meant to be used with curling irons, KMS Curl up has one called Hot Pressed. That one works wonders! It will literally hold the toughest to curl hair. Goodluck!

Hair Curling Question! Emergency!?

its the same if a professional does it.

my hair is the same it doesnt curl it always falls out. it will fall out by then. and you will just have a gross hairspray creature on your head and it will look ugly.

trust me....

why dont you have them do something with you hair when it was straightened like a crown braid across the top and the rest down.

or a pretty twist- elegant.

think about it. and good luck

but from past experiences not a good idea.

and after it is all gross- kinda straightened- clumps of GROSSNESS when you dance it gets so disgusting- i really just dont recommend it.

Hair thinning at age 17 female?

my hair starting thinning alot this yr, it isnt abnormally thin, but to me when i look at it it seems rly rly thin, just because i used to have ALOT more. i could say it looked about twice as thick. i have frizzy hair, so the frizziness prob made it poofier, but for real i had so much MORE HAIR. i did a few things i think contributed: 1 i had been straightening w/ bad straightner my hair daily w/no protection for 2 years, used a semi permanent hair dye, took like 8 months to fully wash, %26amp; i used to never let it air dry, ALWAYS blow dry (even just a little). so i stopped doing all of this in about early october... i started doing less to it, now i dont do like anything to it, for the past couple months i basically just tie it up, in a clip, wear it lose if im not out. do u think if i use little products, wash well, and no heat products, my hair will grow back nice in a while? wat else do u reccomend?

Hair thinning at age 17 female?

I think you should make two appointments. First see a good hairstylist. I worked at an AVEDA salon for 2 years and they have a good education system to keep their stylists educated. Call and ask to book a consultation. They will book an appointment for 20 minutes to 1/2 hour for you, usually free or for a small fee. Tell the receptionist what you said here. Your hair stylists can recommend products and a healthier routine to help your hair repair.

Think about your life and about your stress level. Stress can contribute to thinning hair. I had my hair fall out in patches leaving small bald spots on my head. this was temporary and my hair grew back.

I think it wuld be a good idea to call and make an appointment to see your doctor. He can examine you to determine whether your hair thinning is due to an underlying medical condition.

Ask your parents if there is a history of thinning hair in your family.

My sister is 26, and her hair has thinned quite a bit. It's a trait that seems to run in our family. At first, it was really shocking for her! She has very thick hair until now. Over the past few years it thinned, but it has stopped now, and although her hair is thinner, it is still beautiful, and it seems to have stopped.

I hope this helps you sweetie! I know what it feels like to lose hair!

When I got pregnant, I lost hair in a little patch in the back of my head, but it's growing back very well. Hormones!

Hair thinning at age 17 female?

Yes, my hair used to be really thin but then i left it alone and it grew back after several months though.

Hair thinning at age 17 female?

sometimes your hair jsut randomly changes from straight to curly or thick to thin lol.

it'll probably change again in a few years,

just leave it alone and see what happens, but you might have it fro a long time so i would just try out a bunch of different ways to do it on the weekend and decide which way looks best lol :)

Hair thinning at age 17 female?

It should grow back. Just be really careful not to pull it too tightly when you pull it up or it will break more.

Hair thinning at age 17 female?

changing shampoo helped for me.

i found out i was allergic to a certain brand.

Oh and if you use conditioner remember to wash it ALL out....

Good luck

Hair thinning at age 17 female?

are you african american?

i am too and ik that doing all those things reallyyy murderes our hair. if your hair grows fast, you will just have to wait for it to grow back, but u can always make the hair that u already have nicer by using good shampoos. i definetly reccomend using organic shampoo, conditioner, and leave in conditioner. it wont get thicker but there are things u can do to make its condition better

Hair thinning at age 17 female?

your hair grows fast, you will just have to wait for it to grow back

Hair thinning at age 17 female?

i think it is normal it happens to almost everyone. So don't be ashamed. You should maybe make a club type thing about Girl Problems.Help other people help you!

Hair thinning at age 17 female?

It's going to take a long while ... the average persons hair grows only 6 inches a year. Make sure that it is not a medical reason for why your hair is falling out ... or do you have a lot of broken ends? Is it still think near the roots?

Find a really good shampoo and conditioner ... also never brush your hair wet ... it can stretch it making it brittle and breakable.

Hair thinning at age 17 female?

OMG!!!!! it might be cancer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :0

Hair thinning at age 17 female?

It might be because you have a thyroid problem or (the number 1 problem) is because you might be under a lot of stress. My mom had it and her hair was CONSTANTLY getting thinner...when she showered or brushed her hair, her hair would come out in clumps...her hair got EXTREMELY thin! I suggest you go see a doctor about it if it is that bad or worse. I don't think it is because of the drying and straighting your hair because my friend Natalie always blow dried her hair and her hair isn't getting thinner, and I always straighten my hair and my hair isn't getting thinner.

Hair thinning at age 17 female?

It could actually be a medical condition called "alopecia areata", too. In that case, consult a dermatologist.

How do I make my hair natural again?

Ok, I've been straightning my hair since 7th grade which is a year, almost everyday. My hair used to be naturally silky straight, but I was too stupid and followed what other girls did in school, to straightning their hair. Now my hair is all frizzy and a little poofy. I'm using this shampoo, conditioner, and hair detangler spray called "Sunsilk Thermashine".

Will it make my hair go back to normal in 3 weeks?

I also will no longer be using a straightner.

It sucks that I can't put my hair down without straightning it.

And when I scrunch my hair the gel gets all "flaky", and it looks like I have dandruff.

Anybody recommend anything?

Does that pink straightner at the mall they advertise for almost $100, damage your hair? Or makes it better for your hair?

How do I make my hair natural again?

you messed up your hair by straightening it, why not try something new, leave it alone. get a good brush and comb and let it grow for a while. and no three weeks is not enough time to fix the main problem. but i am sure someone will tell you how to add to it.

How do I make my hair natural again?

Ye i know it sucks but there is a price to pay when straightening your hair!! it looks nice but always gets damaged and no , no straightner will make your hair better (as in condition wise) just when you use straightners glide it through the hair quickly, dont do it slow because more damage! im using treseme hair serum its so good for heat protection! =]]

How do I make my hair natural again?

I'd get a trim to cut off the damaged ends. Then I would use a deep conditioner, either something like Aussie 3 Minute Miracle or a VO5 hot oil treatment. Then I would stop using the straightener every day. (Once in a while might be OK.)

If your hair is getting flaky when you scrunch it, you are probably using a little too much gel in it. Talk to your hairdresser and see if maybe she can recommend ways to cut and style your hair in a way that brings out the natural wave in it. She might be able to recommend products to tame down the frizziness.

I have no idea how damaged your hair is so I have no idea how long it will take to go back to "normal." I don't understand the obsession with straightening hair. I have had straight hair all my life and it's so boring. It doesn't curl well and goes flat almost as soon as I've finished styling it. Personally, I'd kill to have naturally wavy or curly hair. Enjoy what you've got.

Hair does matter?

A year ago I used to have long and straight hair down to the middle of my back. I used to get alot of attention from guys and they used to say stuff like "oh you have some good hair" and some of them would just look at my hair and would want to go out with me. Well, I cut my hair and I'm natural rigth now(which means I don't use a relaxer) and I don't recieve the same attention from men anymore, instead they say stuff like "you look ugly just like those Africans" or "You need a comb" I get harrassed everyday because of my hair and I'm ignoring now. I find it funny that they would think that I'm so sexy wiht my hair one day and then think i'm ugly. What do you think about this?

Hair does matter?

I swear I think I answered this from you already. But here goes:

Baby, natural hair is sign of strenth. It could be that the strength and confidence that you project is just too much for the boys.

"be-hold ..... a lady,

I see you standing on the wall.

Clap-clap you deserve it a-all"

Andre 3000

Hair does matter?

I think its pretty sad and pathetic. I too have a natural but I've never been harrassed for having one. Those people are ignorant.

Hair does matter?

I'm in the process of growing out my perm. I'm going to get it cut out next week. I think hair does matter to some people(usually the shallow ones) As long as you are comfortable with the way you look, that's all that matters, forget those clowns.

Hair does matter?

Poor thing! Why do you care about little boys? I know you are a little girl because women dont care about pleasing ignorant men lol...We care about doing well for ourselves. I believe you DO need to find a hobby lol...

Hair does matter?

It's sad how black men don't like their own women...

Hair does matter?

When I met my boyfriend (White) I had straight hair down my back. I would straighten it everyday. One day I didn't straighten it and my hair was full of spiral curls. I liked it and when my boyfriend saw me he said that the "Black" was coming out of me. He was just kidding. I don't see a difference from having straight hair or having curly hair. People that say that to you are childish and have nothing better to do. One time I did have a boyfriend (Black) that wanted me to keep my hair straight then one that wanted me to keep it curly. I guess it depends on what people like. But the only thing that should matter is if u like it.

Hair does matter?

I think u shouldnt give two s.hits about what they think. There are MANY men (not boys) who adore beautiful afro-centric natural women. You need to step it up when it comes to who you are trying to attract. If you want to mess around with naieve boys who only want you to look like there trophy video h oe, then do that. But when u get ready to be with a MAN who can appreciate you in all of your natural beauty...you'll find him.

Hair does matter?

ignore them, those men sound like jerks. You were lucky, i have relatively long hair and get no attention about that. :( But i sure a nice guy will appreciate it, any guy who says stuff like "you need a comb" dont deserve you!

wow sorry about some of the other answers being mean, dont listen to them.

Hair does matter?

Yes i'm not going to lie to you hair matters, it matters a great deal. But natural can look great if its taken care of.

Also i've noticed a really disturbing trend, when i leave my hair curly i get more attention from white guys and when i straighten it i get more attention from black guys. This is the honest truth by the way, and it just tells you how messed up mens minds are, so just ignore these assholes.

Hair does matter?

Five words: You Are Not Your Hair! Song by Indie Irie. :)

In other words, you have more going for you than just your hair.:)

Hair does matter?

Why are you even in this section?

Hair does matter?

It matters to me.

Hair problem need help?

i'm 19, and i'm havin some serious hair problems, i have major hair fall problems, and my hair ir so week and off color, i tried anti hairfall shampoos and conditioners and none of it works, what do i do now, need help, its really urgent my hair is getting thinner and thinner everyday, they said heat is bad for hair so i stopped using driers, but i still have the problem what do i do now?

Hair problem need help?

Usually hair loss is normals since almost everyone loses about 100-200 hairs per day.

What you may want to start out is introducing lots of protein to your diet and also fruits and vegetables. With protein, start out with nuts, meats, eggs, etc. This will help you rebuild your hair, and give it more of a "boost". While fruits and vegetables are loaded with vitamins, they are beneficial to both your health and the condition of your hair.

Like many others, I suggest you taking some vitamins. Particularly fish oils, vitamin E, and a multi vitamin. This will help heal and repair all the damage that you probably faced from your eating habits and/or the products you use on your hair.

Just as a reminder, make sure to keep your hair from being overwhelmed. This could make it worse because when you add or switch so many shampoos or products at one time, your hairs going to basically flip out and cause its condition to be worse.

Well, good luck! =)

Hair problem need help?

See your doctor and improve your diet. There may be other reasons for this, other than the way you treat your hair. Multi-vitamins will make your hair healthier-looking also.

Hair problem need help?

go to a dematologist or get shampoo recomended to strongthen dry hair

Hair problem need help?

Go to the doctor and have your thyroid checked.

Hair problem need help?

What I would do is improve your body and lifestyle. You shouldn't be to skinny or to overweight. Eat lots of foods that have vitamin C. I use Herbal Essences Hello Hydration shampoo and conditioner and it leaves my hair silky soft and with lots of hair on my head. If you are really serious go see a doctor or hair stylist. Good Luck, Jamie.

Hair problem need help?

hello,

there are 3 major reasons hair will fall out, 1st, major nervousness, anxiety, stress, etc. the hair will return when one's nerves are calmed. 2nd, improper nutrition or being under weight. and 3rd an illness called Alopecia Areata. in this case, the hair loss makes quarter sized bald circles on the scalp. in any case, it would be good to see your doctor to determine which cause you are experiencing.

good luck!

Hair problem need help?

I'm really young too and the same thing was happening to me. I started taking hair vitamins like folicure (they're not expensive) a long with a multivitamin. After a while it stopped falling out so much. But I was going crazy with how much hair I lost evertime I shower and combed my hair. I still want to visit a trighologist (specializes in hair). I think it was because I dyed my hair which might have caused it but I'm not sure. I know how you feel.

MY HAiR?!?!?

my hair is soooo x3084753984 freaking poofy. it looks like my hair is eating my head...=P. i dont have a lot of hair products to help it %26amp; its poofy-curly-ness.want the curls though, just not frizz. question...is it better to let it air dry or blow dry it? and what should i do to help my hair calm down but stay curly??

heres just 1 pic of my hair:http://s188.photobucket.com/albums/z148/...

and another: http://s188.photobucket.com/albums/z148/...

notice how my hair doesnt fit in the pix... =[

MY HAiR?!?!?

I'm a big fan of blowdrying, but apply a defrizzer while it's still damp and blow-dry with a plastic wide-toothed comb. I prefer Garnier Sleek and Shine to reduce frizz and add shine, but just a little will do the trick, so don't overdo it or you'll get greasy. Do not use a hair bristle brush - this will only increase the frizz problem. Gelling is also good if once you've blown it dry you still see frizz - I recommend a lightweight gel like Got2B Playful.

MY HAiR?!?!?

your hair looks gorgeous in that pic. just make sure to use moisturizing shampoo and conditioner (dove is good), and put in a curl defining gel when it's wet. only blow dry to make it straight, or use a blow dryer with a diffuser. air drying is best though.

MY HAiR?!?!?

I think your hair is GREAT! What are you talking about? Love your hair. Own it and embrace your beauty!

MY HAiR?!?!?

I know there are such things as relaxants for hair at special salons but I am not sure of the results because I have never had it done. Maybe if you go to a salon that does relaxants for hair than you could ask them what the outcome would be? Goodluck!

MY HAiR?!?!?

omg ur hair is beautiful!! just use a little mousse or gel i like Aussie catch the wave mousse .. it leaves it soft . also get frizz serum like john freida's . good luck

MY HAiR?!?!?

John Frieda makes a serum for that! Helps get out the frizz

MY HAiR?!?!?

well if it is just long cut it..... i kinda like yuor hair plus yuor pretty..... well try doing this after taking a shower towel dry yyuor hair until it is damp... them put mousse on it.... dont use blowdryer it will make it more frizzy but if u must use a thermal prtection lotion or cream thing 4 yuor hair...

MY HAiR?!?!?

your hair isnt frizzy or poofy and it doenst look like its taking over your head. Its pretty.

MY HAiR?!?!?

that hair is not poofy, it just has a lot of volume. I actually think it is beautiful. But if you dont like it, that is all that matters. Next time you get a hair cut, tell them you would like it thinned out. That will take out a lot of that excess volume you dont like. But trust me, you have beautiful hair that a lot of my clients would kill for!!

MY HAiR?!?!?

use sunsilk anti poof

ur hair is pretty

MY HAiR?!?!?

if i was you i would blow dry it and when you blow dry it take a brush and brush threw it while your blowin dryn it.. or straighten it do you know how to do that

MY HAiR?!?!?

I think your seeing things that aren't there. We all think your hair is nice.

Question about ethnic hair products?

I'm white, but I have really dry hair. My mom's hair is very bristly, and mine is, also. It has always been very thick and coarse, and no matter what I do it's always very bristly and frizzy.

I don't wash my hair every day because that makes it even worse. I only wash it once or twice a week, and I never use any gel or mousse, only hair lotion. But the hair lotion I use doesn't work much. I don't blow-dry it or straighten it, either.

But I do dye it.

I've been thinking about trying some hair products that's made for African American hair, but I don't know what to try. Any recommendations?

I bought some carrot creme tonight (Made by Hollywood Beauty) but it hasn't helped at all. I just made my hair very tangled and a little less poofy, but my hair is still very frizzy.

Question about ethnic hair products?

There are a number of hair products found

listed in the 'Links' section of this website:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Generation...

Question about ethnic hair products?

try silicone mix.Do a search online...it has helped my hair become so much more managable. That carrot creme stuff is so gunky(threw mine away). I only bought the conditioner. You can get it online

Question about ethnic hair products?

pantene pro-v shampo and conditioner for women of color should solve your issuse, you can buy at any target, walmart, ulta, or drug store around.

Question about ethnic hair products?

Northwest Scents products are formulated for Black hair, which tends to be dry, but customers of other races use them too. (One of the ladies who uses them said "I'm white with color treated hair and I love this stuff.") The products are designed to pamper and condition hair that is dry, highly textured, and hard to deal with. These products are available at the following link:

Question about ethnic hair products?

Try using the products from Carol's Daughter.

They are natural %26amp; use oils %26amp; pretty smelling things.

They make a Hair Milk that does Wonders. I have hair like yours %26amp; that is one of the products I use.

I have very frizzy wavy/curly hair. How do I reduce the frizziness of my hair at home?

My hair is med wavy to curly. I wash my hair every alternate day with shampoo. Every week I apply curd %26amp; lemon to my hair for half an hour %26amp; then wash, as I tend to get dandruff. Before washing, my hair is oily, so I don't apply any additional oils. After drying (I don't use hair dryer), my hair becomes very frizzy %26amp; brittle. I've used hair serums, but their effect is only temporary. How do I make my hair soft %26amp; manageable? What kind of shampoo would be best for me? I've been suggested anti-stress hair treatment, but I'm afraid hair fall will increase. Is this kind of treatment useful? Please help.

I have very frizzy wavy/curly hair. How do I reduce the frizziness of my hair at home?

you must be from England as you mention treatments we do not have here in the USA

...I have taken the "frizzy-curly hair" problem to heart....I have begun a hair blog about 3 months ago, in order to help those out there with hair issues of all kinds and types...

and just yesterday I announced the addition of "FRIZZ-FREE FRIDAY...which will be every Friday I will spend on the problems of the curlies and frizzy heads of the world.

So you might want to catch that.

As for 3 of my very best tips......

1.) You must get a sulfate-free shampoo, as soon as you possibly can....be sure shampoo does not have either SLS Sodium Lauryl Sulfate or sister ALS Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate, 2 extremely harsh ingredients...go check the ongredients on your present shampoo. What you are going to want is a super gentle shampoo I recommend 3 and have a list of 20 on the Blog. But am wondering about access to them if you are on the other side of the Atlantic....

1.John Masters Organics

2. Pureology

3. Kenra's Platinum

You must get a hold of a minimum of 4 but preferbly 6 of the products made by an ethnic hair care company called

avlon Industries and the line is called Kera Care.

the most important one is the Humecto Hair condition......do the overnight condtion method where you sleep with it in your hair......if you have an oily scalp, only put the product on the ends.....

second be sure to get the Serum.....Serum is the single best product for your hair but if you are using one with alcohol in it then you are counteracting what you want

Kera Care's is called Silken Seal

There is a lot of African men in India, some women like African men, god is great

I have very frizzy wavy/curly hair. How do I reduce the frizziness of my hair at home?

fix your hair before it dries off and use leave-in conditioner at all times .. dont wash it everyday though...

mix 1 cup of olive oil + 7 drops of ur choice of essential oil and apply it to ur hair before u go to bed... wash it when u wake up.. do that once a week it will be awesome...trim your hair every two - three months

I have very frizzy wavy/curly hair. How do I reduce the frizziness of my hair at home?

I don't know about anti-stress hair treatments but I know how you can make your hair less frizzy:

1. Use conditioner--its essential because it conditions your hair hence conditioner. Put less shampoo, its too harsh for people with curly hair like us.

2. When you take a shower, at the end rinse off your hair with cold water--believe me this works! It doesn't have to be too cold, but like pool water cold.

3. Use gel instead of hair serum, because it will leave your curls tight, but don't comb your hair after you put gel though.

4. Buy a straighter (sedu, chi) because these will leave your hair silky straight for as long as you don't take a shower!

Hope I help! %26lt;3

I have very frizzy wavy/curly hair. How do I reduce the frizziness of my hair at home?

Massage olive oil into hair and keep for an hour before washing it off with a mild shampoo.Reapply 1 or2 drops after bathing too.

This re ally works and gives hair sheen.

I have very frizzy wavy/curly hair. How do I reduce the frizziness of my hair at home?

oooookkk.....m in ur batch grl......u know wat....start applying eggs in your hair.....like if u hav shoulder length hair then apply 3 eggs if longer apply 4-5 eggs.....

leave it on for 45 min atleast and 60 min max.....then wash with pantene smooth (green) or any other shampoo which gaurantees nonfrizz hair......

and then apply its conditioner ok.......m telling u ur hair will become very soft for which u must be wailing for a long tim......

If you have very curly hair and frizzy....then try straightening your hair either wid a rod or an iron...

m telling u if u straighten ur hair twice the frizz is going to reduce in comparison to ur original hair.....

but dont overdo the straightening cuse too much will damage ur hair ok....so b careful and try it out.....now m hair as soft lik every1 else......good luck..

Hair ideas hair ideas hair ideas!!!?

I am getting red highlights in my hair for the first day of school. and i am excited, but before i do it i want ur opinion, should i get my hair hilighted red. by the way i am african american, and so think about that inur answer. if u dont like red please tell me nicely and think of another you think would be cute in my hair. thanks alot.

Hair ideas hair ideas hair ideas!!!?

Hmm...its hard to say if red would be right for you because I do not know how dark of a complexion you would have - like streeks that were brownish red would look good on your hair if you had a deep mocha complexion such as hers:

http://www.singersroom.com/img/blog/07/0...

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v515/b...

* The red is really fun and playful and is a good look to have if you want to look unique and funky. However, if you are on the more natural and sophisticated side of beauty, try caramel highlights. ESPECIALLY if you have a lighter, bronzey complexion, such as Christina Millians :

http://www.lahiguera.net/cinemania/actor...

http://www.artistdirect.com/Images/artd/...

http://walktaken.com/wp-content/uploads/...

*The golden hues really brings warmth and a healthy beachy sunkissed glow to the whole look. Red Highlights I find would be a bit tacky and unpolished for a look like this.

***Or if you want, just dye your hair black with no highlights. I find that raven black hair is absolutely stunning on darker complexions:

http://t0.ca/media/photos/3400/77815/str...

**Whichever you choose, it is based on what your prefered style. I personally love the sunkissed caramel highlights much over the red highlights, just because it looks beautiful against darker skin and is sooo much more natural - red highlights however are a lot more bolder and require attitude to pull it off. If you think you are confident enough to do so, try it out, but my bet and many other peoples bet I find are instead, golden highlights.

Hair ideas hair ideas hair ideas!!!?

you add some auburn highlights also.

hope this helps a little

Damaged Hair!!!?

I recently stopped getting relaxers to straighten my hair, and now for some reason my hair is really damaged. I use shampoo and conditioners that say "for damaged hair" but it doesn't seem to get any better. I wash my hair about twice a week and dont put alot of heat on it (blow dryer/ flat iron ect.). I just need a way to make my hair grow fast and get healthy again. Please help!!!

Damaged Hair!!!?

if u want it to go fast and health then theres some kind of vitamin that will help you out, and stop blow drying and flat ironing thats making it worst

Damaged Hair!!!?

shave your head !!!!

then it will be long, silky and smooth and shiny once it grows back =]

Damaged Hair!!!?

I think what you need to do is wash your hair every day or at least every other day! Of course it wont look or feel healthy because you don't wash it enough. And if that doesn't work, go to a salon and see if they can fix it. I think they would know what to do.And like the person said before to shave your head, DON'T! It would grow back fast and make it look silky, but it could grow back a different color and would look really bad unless you got a wig. Good Luck. I don't think it could look that bad. Also, don't straighten it anymore unless it is really curly or wavy. Putting heat on your hair makes it worse.

Damaged Hair!!!?

When my hair was over processed and damaged I used Aussie hair products. I used their ultra moist shampoo and conditioner, and I used the 3 minute miracle 2-3 times a week.

Then when it started to get healthier I used, and currently use AG products. You can get them at a salon. I love them. But the Aussie products really brought my hair back to life.

Good luck.

Damaged Hair!!!?

the reason your hair is really damaged is more likely because you stopped chemically straightenning it. Your hair grows more and becomes healthy when it is having the same things done to it over and over again. Also brittle ends cause breakage so place a lot of emphasis on that by moisterizing it. I don't know what moisterizers might work for you but i use Silk Elements Conditioner and hair lotions with vitamin extracts. Using something with olive or carrot oil also helps alot because both have vitamins essential for hair.

Damaged Hair!!!?

Washing your hair once or twice a week is alright, just don't do it daily, that tends to dry it out a lot. You mentioned the damaged hair conditioners, did you try the blackberry dry/damaged one by Herbal Essences? That worked wonders for me. If not, something that also might help are the numerous hair repair products avaliable , or even oil treatments. Part of the reason your hair is damaged might be caused by all the humidity in the air, it's making my hair go crazy too, lol.

Damaged Hair!!!?

try Aphogee treatment it is made just for hair that has been relaxed....you can find it at sally's or other hair stores

Damaged Hair!!!?

I wouldn't start washing your hair more frequently. Damaged hair cannot be repaired by shampooing it every day! You are doing the right thing by washing it less seldom and trying to let it recuperate. You said you use shampoos that say for damaged hair, but if you are using stuff from the grocery store or WalMart instead of stuff from a salon, they aren't going to help much!. Those products mainly just put a coating of wax on hair to give the APPEARANCE of healthier hair (by slicking down the split ends), but in actuality they do nothing to help repair it. Although nothing can totally repair hair, some product lines that could help it are Biolage and CHI. Both have to be purchased at a salon, and they cost more than the department store stuff, but they are worth it. Go to your nearest salon, talk to one of the stylists about the problems you are having, and they will steer you in the right direction. An at home remedy in the meantime would be a hot oil treatment. You can buy one (VO5 makes on that's okay), or you can use olive oil, heated up, massaged into hair, and left on for approximately 20 minutes with a warm, damp towel wrapped around your head/hair. Wash and condition well afterwards. Good luck!!

Damaged Hair!!!?

A few things to help:

First, make sure you are eating well. Also make sure you don't wash your hair every day. Just give it a good rinse in cool water and condition it. Also, go get your hair trimmed. It will look and feel thicker and you can also ask your stylist what products would be best to get your hair back in shape.
