Hi guys - need suggestions quick! I used a prelightener on my hair last night (had gingery roots and light blonde hair). Then dyed it light blonde this morning. Ive always had dyed light blonde hair but this is only the 2nd time of using a prelightener, as the ginger roots just dont go away! I put LOADS on conditioner on (2 lots) but when I brushed my hair, handfuls and handfuls snapped off! Now the whole of my hair feels like 'Barbie hair' - you know what I mean? Very plastic and rough. Any suggestions on products to use to get some life back into it? Ive never had this problem before, and Ive been dying my hair for 13 years! Thanks all, Bxx PS any suggestions of doing a Britney Spears and I'll be cross....I already thought of this lol!! ;O)

Try a deep conditioner. After washing your hair, thoroughly coat your hair in a deep conditioner, then wrap your head in a shower cap. If you can, wrap a warm towel around your head to help the conditioner penetrate. Leave it in for at least 30 minutes, then wash it out.
Also, keep in mind that once your hair is damaged, it can't really be repaired, you're only improving the texture. I know you don't want to cut your hair, but at a certain point, it may be the only option.

Give your hair a break for god's sake. Cover it with something. It will grown back. Just put it up with a clip and get one of the synthetic hairpieces to adorn. When it's in better condition go to a professional.

Why don't you treat your self to a new shorter style it will be easier to colour and condition. I had my head shaved once for charity and it was great so if all else fails it could be an option.

you have over processed your hair and damaged it ,there is no way you are going to get that barbie feeling away from your hair your going to have to have it cut , i would say you are better to ring your local salon and go get it cut , that will give you a deep conditioning treatment and a nice new style , please go get it sorted cause it will go worse if you leave it ,

Chemical are NEVER good for hair. You need natures help.
Get some pure OLIVE OIL/ALMOND OIL and pour it on to your head make sure all of you hair strands from root to tip are coved leave it in for about 10mins then wash out and then feel the difference.
When caring for your hair use natrual products as much as you can. Because you have been dying your hair for soooo many years i think your hair has had enough of the abuse and it now shouting out MERCY!!

apparently if you put white vinegar in your hair it puts the moisture back in after bleaching, don't use the brown vinegar though as it will stain your hair.
