ok so this is what i've done in the last 2 months : relaxed my hair (twice) not at the same time, blow dry each day and use hairspray (slept with it in several nights) ok so my hair is really dry and damaged an dnow its thinning and falling out. So when i take a shower i realize when i use conditioner and rub my hands through my hair i get a few hair strands on my hands not every single time i rub my hands through my hair but often. After i wash out the conditioner...and rub my hands through my hair again hardly any hair strands come out! O_O Can conditioner make ur hair vulnerable and more easier to fall when washing hair? pls someone help! ^_^

it isnt safe to relax your hair more often than every 6 weeks. i used to relax my hair every two weeks (so i kno) The thing about perms in a box is that they give you a good perm for a short while, and then in two weeks they start to wear off and your edges get all nappy ! i think you should start seeing a stylist. before i went to my stylist i was perming up sumthin ! and i wasnt really taking care of my hair, i just wanted it to look good and who cares if it isnt healthy ? the fact of the matter is, if you go to a stylist who specializes in hair care she can help you take care of it, telling you when its breaking what shampoos to use etc. my stylist is one of the best things that has ever happened to me, my hair is growing really fast, and i see her every two weeks for a wash - and she can make my hair last for 8 weeks with out a perm, thats two months ! salon perms are different from box perms cuz salon perms STAY ! seek a pro - she'll tell you what to do, all you have to do is come in every six to eight weeks 閳?Ruth

No its normal for you to shed hair everyday. But be careful about relaxing your hair so much that damages it more. Just make sure your only touching up the outgrowth. Its always good to condition your hair.

my hair is like that. try deep conditioning, and don't put your hair in tight ponies for a while. also make sure that you're eating correctly since that can cause hair to fall out too. stop the heat styling, that makes your hair worse, but if you must, use a heat protectant spray.

WOW...I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM LIKE 4 1/2 YEARS AGO...I HAD USED A AFRICAN PRIDE RELAXER ON MY HAIR AND I'M A WHITE GIRL...LOL...SO YEA, IT MADE LOTS N LOTS OF MY HAIR FALL OUT AND NOW I HAVE VERY THIN LIMP HAIR AND I HATE IT SO MUCH. IT RUINED MY LIFE! JUST TRY USING SOME HAIR VITAMINS AND LEAVE IT DOMN A LOT! GOOD LUCK!!!
AND STOP RELAXING YOUR HAIR NOW!!

It's normal to lose around 150 hairs per day - it could be possible that what you're noticing is just normal hair loss. After they've all been massaged out during conditioning there aren't any more left to fall out afterwards, if that makes sense.
If anything, conditioning strengthens your hair.

Sounds like you're putting A LOT of stress on your hair....you should get your relaxer touched-up 6-8 weeks Instad of once a month....this will prevent overlapping the relaxer which is very damaging your hair....hence one reason for the breakage...blowdrying everyday is probably the second reason...the high heat on your chemically processed hair causes more breakage.and when your hair is wet it's at it's most fragile state....which is why you'll notice it breaking off in the shower.
So be gentle when you wash and condtion your hair. Deep Condtion once a week. Be sure to put moisture back into your hair with a serum or creme and try to say away from the blowdryer so much! It's important you keep your hair well condtioned when you have a relaxer.
