For the last few months I have picked up a very bad habit... I find myself eating at least a teaspoon or more of baking soda everyday....Could this be the reason my hair is breaking from the roots. My hair is really falling out bad and I don't understand why....I went to the doctor to see if it were the diet pills that he gave me which were Phentermine 37.5, Chromium Picolinate and Diucaps. He said that this medicine would not make my hair fall out. So what could be the problem...Please Help me...I have to shave my head ball now because my hair is breaking so bad.Is it possible that it could be the baking soda that I have been eating on a daily bases.....
My hair has been falling out on a regular bases. Could my hair be falling out because I eat baking soda daily?

I don't know if it's making your hair fall out, but you probably shouldn't eat baking soda.
That's really weird.

Baking soda won't make your hair fall out. You should stop eating soda for a different reason: sodium intake. Your kidneys, if there are healthy, will be able to cope with occasional excesses of sodium, but in the long run, they will be damaged.
I had thinning hair once too, because I was taking medicine to reduce my heart rate. A side effect was reduction of blood circulation to my extremities, so the skin on my legs and feet grew dry and cracked, and the hair thinned on my arms, legs and head. I stopped the medicine and my hair was restored to its former luxuriance. If you are obese, you may very well have poor circulation too, and thus thin hair. Exercise should improve your circulation (and hair growth), as well as reduce your weight.
