i think you should leave it like this.

i think medium brown suits almost everyone with tanned skin it brings out the features more in your face, i think you should go to the salon and have it done as it makes you feel more confident and the head massage is wonderful, it sends you straight to sleep. As for the hair treatment after colouring always remember to give your hair a gooc conditioning usuing the best conditioner for coloured hair and make sure it is designed for your hair type. a charles worthington shampoo and conditioner for coloured brown hair is brill.

As an alumni student of Paul Mitchell the school i'd go to the salon because its always professional :)

light brown will match your skin tone reguardless because you are tanned...

after treatment would just consist of a hair color strengthening conditoner...and yes ALL hair coloring damages your hair but aslong as your using shampoo/conditoner to strengthen and make your hair heathly youll be fine...Id reccomend paul mitchells THE COLOR :) goodluck

I've recently dyed my hair to a coppery brownish-red. You sound a bit like me when I was deciding color. Dyeing your hair makes it loose a bit of it's natural shine, but that can be fixed with the right shampoo. The color sounds fine to me. Make sure you look at what the result of the hair color will look like; it's usually on the side of the box showing a before and after picture for different colored hair. Don't always trust the picture you see on the front of the box. Since you have dark hair, depending on how light the final color is that you want, you may want to use pre-lightener. If your a first time hair-dyer, you may want to get it done at a salon. Check with the salon if you need to bring your own dye of not, and if so, ask them what product would be good for your hair. I went with Garnier as my hair product, but check with them just in case.

As I learned in cosmetology school, everything damages your hair to a certain extent, even shampooing it. I advise you to go to a professional to get this lighter color, as it is a process that can be tricky to do at home. Be sure and take a picture (or two) of Hillary Duff with you, and be sure it's the picture of her with the haircolor you want. It's hard for hairdressers to get it right with vague descriptions and outdated photos. Also, keep this in mind: If you color your whole head, you will need frequent root retouches, because the black will show quickly through the brown. If you get streaks of brown through the black hair, you won't have to retouch as often. Good luck!
