Hair and humidity?

How can I keep my hair staying straight throughout the day? Whenever I do my hair in the morning w/ the flat iron, it's fine. When I go outside especially living in the south, the heat is around 98 degrees or so. and my hair gets weird flippy kinks and tries to curl. I've used Herbal Essensces humidity defying gel and it hasn't helped a bit.

Anyone have suggestions or anything I can do to keep my hair looking straight and nice? I don't know how other women do it. And yes, my hair is naturally straight.

It's all about the products. There are a ton at salons or salon product selling stores that will help you. The choices are endless really. You might need to try several before you find the perfect match for your hair. I suggest buying smallest bottles until you find "the right one"

I have read that the CHI flat irons do a great job keeping hair straight all day - they are pricey though. I would also suggest using salon quality product - like Bed Head. It is worth the $$

Get an anti humidity hairspray by Aussie. It's the best.

But if your hair is naturally straight, why do you use a flat iron?

Garnier Fructis anti-frizz serum works pretty well =)

a flat iron is dangerous for your hair. perhaps if you brush it in all directions it will have a nice natural look, and it wont be destroyed.moreover, curly hair is lovely . accept the condition of your hair. let the season of humidity pass without harm, then in the dry season you can have it straight. all chemicals do harm more than good. avoid them.
