Faster growing hair?

I've heard alot of ways of your hair growing faster.

I've heard if you cut your hair every few weeks , it will make it grow fatser, but you cut from the bottom and it's the roots that pushes the hair and makes it grow, so i don't see how that works.

My mum used to be a doctor, she said she thinks nothing really makes your hair grow faster, it might make it grow better and healthier, but hair has to grow on it's own. But she could be wrong.

Other things like washing it more makes i grow quicker.

Is this true ? I recently cut my hair and I've washed it more and seems to grow faster. But i don't know if it's that I'm comparing it to where i got it cut, or if it's because i've cut it , or if i'm washing it more.

What do you think about things which make your hair grow longer and quicker?

If you think of a way it could , or some of the options above are untrue because they work, please could you tell me ? :) Ty

Hi, I actually read this really good article about 7 ways to make your hair grow faster, you'll find more useful information there I'm sure: http://www.carefair.com/Hair/Hair_Grow_F...

I took Hair, Skin, and Nails vitamins (you can get them just about anywhere... I got mine at Wal-Mart). It literally made my hair grow twice as fast!! I hear your hair will grow faster if you use peppermint shampoo, but I've never tried it.

Due to a recent bad haircut, I had to research this, too. There is a shampoo / conditioner at Walgreens called Head 'n Tail...it's a human hair / horse hair shampoo that is loaded with vitamins that help hair growth and shine. People with cancer use it all the time, if they've gone through chemo and have lost hair. Also, Jell-o helps both hair and nails grow faster.

Washing your hair too often can be extremely damaging. If you have curly hair, you should really only wash it at most once every other day, but condition every day. You need to keep your natural oils in your hair. And that whole myth that cutting your hair more often makes it grow faster is completely false. It takes care of split ends, yes, which makes your hair healthier, but use common sense - cutting your hair often (i.e. making it shorter) will not make it grow longer any quicker.
