Curly hair please help!!! do men like women with curly hair?

I have extremely curly hair and i hate leaving it down because the air or whatever takes away from the length. i comb my hair and after i couple of minutes my hair is shorter than before. i hate it!!!!!! how can i keep my hair length after i comb it. why does it become shorter. i really want my hair to grow long...

Curly hair please help!!! do men like women with curly hair?

natural curly hair is cute but have you tried an anti frizz for curly hair it might tame the curls a little.....

Curly hair please help!!! do men like women with curly hair?

yeah, I'm a bloke and I do. Think it looks really good.

Curly hair please help!!! do men like women with curly hair?

it will b longer if u straighten it...or put a little gel or mouse in ur hair after u shower

Curly hair please help!!! do men like women with curly hair?

Only on the Minge.

Curly hair please help!!! do men like women with curly hair?

Yes, it's nice!

Curly hair please help!!! do men like women with curly hair?

it becomes shorter because it slowlyrolls itself up whilst it dries.as 4 wondering if curly hair is attractive?? yes it is!!!

Curly hair please help!!! do men like women with curly hair?

I have long curly hair as well, from what my stylist told me the longer you hair is the more weighed down it is [less volune aka the way u hate how it "bounces up"] so I would start growing your hair as much as you can, but also use curl enhancing products, such as Fekkai Luscious curls, and go to a good stylist!!

Curly hair please help!!! do men like women with curly hair?

tie it? it becomes shorter when you comb it because have you ever noticed the hair that comes out?

you just have to wait. straightening is bad, no offense.

Curly hair please help!!! do men like women with curly hair?

first of all DO NOT brush your hair as it goes frizzy... really frizzy as my best friend has curly hair.....

i actually think she has the nicest hair in all our school... she h8s it 2 but she gets lots of boyz!! more than me and i have long blond hair

ps it takes a long time 4 curlly hair 2 grow long so just b patient!!

hope i helped!!! %26lt;3%26lt;3

Curly hair please help!!! do men like women with curly hair?

Hell yeah they do..i wish i had curly hair!

Curly hair please help!!! do men like women with curly hair?

my best friend has super curly natural hair. the guys love her. dont worry about it. im sure your attractive (looks and personality). good luck

Curly hair please help!!! do men like women with curly hair?

Here on some tips.. (I have curly hair too)

1- monthy trimming. Take of barely a snip, you loose some split ends, and dry ends.

2- Straighten it. You can use a straightener, or when your done in the shower you blow dry it straight.

3- at night, or when its wet, put it in a really tight bun. This wont let the curls go so massive.

4- work with the hair. Put it in braids(which can make it curly) but it looks good. Pig tails, head bands, bandana's and hats.

5- Use hair gel, or hair spray. Take out the frizz with special hair conditioners(head and shoulders works!) and sprays.

6- If you dye it, or highlight it alot, stop. This can strip your hair dry. Also if you use more than 2 conditioners and/or shampoos stop. This will strip your hair or natural oils.

Hope these helped!!

Curly hair please help!!! do men like women with curly hair?

Curly can be very sexy.

Curly hair please help!!! do men like women with curly hair?

They say the 1st attraction to a person is appearance based , and i say hair , wether straight , curly long or short in no way detracts from what the appearance of the girl might be , unless she looks like shes been dragged backwards through a thick hedge !!!

after that it's the personality and sensibilities of the girl that is really the holy grail .... looks mean absolutely fekk all ( sorry about the simulated bad language) . I can understand that you question tghe appearance of your hair , given that everyone these days are fashion mad ! , look to your inner self and ask .... would a guy like me for what I really am ?

I dont know you , or what you look like , but you are truly BEAUTIFUL beneath the skin , especially in your heart :)

very best of luck .... now go out there with confidence and knock 'em off their feet .

Help! Perm and losing hair...?

Hey everyone...I had my hair permed about a month ago, and since then I've been losing hair. When I pull my hair through my hands a lot of hair strands come out, too. Before I never shed hair, and now my bed and clothing is covered with hairs...I had my hair permed 2 years ago and had absolutely no adverse side effects. Am I going to lose all of my hair?! Is there any way to stop the hair from coming out? Please help!

Help! Perm and losing hair...?

Women some times lose allot of hair after giving birth. Your hair shedding probably doesn't have anything to do with the perm. You should go to a dermatologist to make sure though. If you hair is actually breaking and not falling out, then that might be the perm. You could go to a salon and have a re constructor treatment done to help stop the breakage. See a derm. and good luck

Help! Perm and losing hair...?

It is easier to prevent the falling out of healthy hairs than to regrow hair in follicles that are already dormant. Finasteride (marketed in the U.S. as Propecia) and minoxidil (marketed in the U.S. as Rogaine, and some places as Regaine) have shown some success in partially reversing loss. In a one one-year study of finasteride, evaluation after one year showed five of 21 subjects (23.8%) had two-grade improvement in MNHS grade on a modified Norwood/Hamilton scale and 12 of 21 subjects (57.1%) had one-grade improvement; the others remained at the same grade.[6] However such treatments are generally ineffective at treating extreme cases of hair loss.[7]

Help! Perm and losing hair...?

The first thing I would od is find out what permed they used. Im a hair dresser so I hope this helps. If they used and Alakine perm use vegatable oil and hot water put it on you hair leave for 20 min. If its Acid you might need a Keratin vitaim to help rebuild some new hair

Help! Perm and losing hair...?

This want u need to do go to the shop and don't get it perm anymore that mean you have a good piece of work on your head u just need to press it and get a rap and your hair will come just fine

Help! Perm and losing hair...?

You might want to go see a doctor. Massaging your scalp will help to grow the hair back and make it more healthy. If you've got a perm make sure your using really good professional shampoo's and conditioners. If you can't afford them, then infusium23 has a really good reconstructing conditioner that you leave in for 3 minutes.

Help! Perm and losing hair...?

get two eggs, indian hemp leave, cholesterol or cheese especially the fresh one from the cow, aleo vera, and liquid milk.

put the indian hemp in a warm water and allow to extract, break the eggs and pour it into the hemp stir then add in all the ingredients.

ensure that you put it into the scalp and then all the hair just as it done when relaxing.

cover with a shower cap and get into the steamer or if you don't have one leave it like that (in the cap) for three to five hours then

wash with a good shampoo and condition.

all the ingredient have a special effect in the hair; the indiam hemp is for growth while the egg strenghtens the hair.

i would advise u to go see a doctor about this. this could be serious.

Diffuser hair dryers?

does diffuser in a hair dryer add volume to thin hair?or is it only for curly hair?i have a straight long hair.looking for a good hair dryer that would add volume to my hair.and also which is the best one available in the market?pls help

Diffuser hair dryers?

thas crap 4 a start! bin a hairdresser 4 yrs! start of with washing your hair with a volume shampoo...rinse...then wash again...ad a little conditioner to mid length and ends...DONT put any on the roots.....wash off and towel dry. then apply a root lifting spray and tip your head upside dwn and lift your hair straight up when drying at the roots. that should add the volume to the roots.keeping your head upside down add a LITTLE hairspray to the roots for extra hold. then put head up and style!

good luck hun...if it doesnt work first tym keep trying...can b a mission to get the hang ov but once u have..it'l b perfect everytym!

Diffuser hair dryers?

Generally they are better for hair that is wavy or curly as they they don't blow the curl out of the hair.

Oily hair!?

well i have oily hair =( and i dont know what i can do about it! i only have moisturizing/hydrating shampoo at home now and head and shoulders classic clean for dandruff. the head and shoulders does not work for my dandruff and the moisturing shampoo is bad for oily hair! i heard if you put vinegar oil and lemon juice into your shampoo bottle and shack it up using that shampoo as your normal day shampoo it will get rid of your dandruff and oily hair. but i als oheard that if you put lemon juice into dark hair it will make it lighter! and i am asian so i naturally have the jet black hair so lemon juice makes mi hair turn RED! what should i do? any suggestions? PLEASE HELP =/

Oily hair!?

i used to have that problem.

i think infusium 23 did the trick.. i started using that and my started hair lookin good.

now i use infusium 23 shampoo with suave natural conditioners and it makes my hair look clean and shiny.. try that.

Oily hair!?

ok first of all go out and buy a shampoo that doesnt have moisturizing stuff in it because that does create oily hair. Also, if you use conditioner, then make sure is a wash-out conditioner and not one you leave in. When you use the conditioner only put it from the ear down because if you put it on the top of your head and scalp, it can also create extra oils.

Oily hair!?

red is a nice colour ;)

Oily hair!?

If like me you have to wash your hair every day because of this you can buy dry shampoo out of boots it freshens up your hair and it looks like its just been washed.

Oily hair!?

go to the store and buy the aussie shampoo and conditioner fo rcombination hair it will take the oiliness out of your hair and if you have dry ends it will moisturize them and use that every single night. if you have dandruff use the dermarest shampoo use taht twice a week and leave it on for 5 mintes the rinse it out

hope i helped

Oily hair!?

ok you need a shampoo for oily hair...try a eveyday shampoo from neutrogina..works wonders i have the same promble,!hope this gelps...any more questions just email me

Oily hair!?

You probably have using the same shampoo too long. You are suppose to change your shampoo and conditioner every 6 months or more i think. Also, you should talk to the ppl at Great Clips and get some of their shampoo and conditioner. They know ALOT and can help you with alot. Also, you should probably ask them hoew often you should really switch your shampoo and conditioner cuz i'm not really sure. I don't think you need to switch your shampoo and conditioner if you baught it at Great Clips though. Hope this helps! Happy Hair Day! XD XD

Oily hair!?

Brush your hair every night with a good quality natural hair brush.... In the morning or whenever you shower mix 1 tablespoon of baking soda with your normal shampoo.. This will cut the oil in your scalp and get out any styling product residue and it doesn't affect the hair color... I do this about once a week.. The important thing is to distribute the natural hair oils throughout your hair.. Oh and only condition the ends of your hair if your scalp is oily.. Why waste conditioner....

Oily hair!?

Try clarifying shampoo once in a while or the ones that say deep cleaning on the bottle I have used tresseme and herbal essence and they work okay,(I have the same problem)

Oily hair!?

Most people do not understand that you can have dandruff caused by dry scalp while still having oily hair. Selsun Blue is the very best for dandruff. Apply and leave on for a couple of minutes then followup with a "dry scalp" shampoo as opposed to a moisturizing shampoo. You will definitely want to avoid anything with any type of alcohol as an ingredient. Cetyl alcohol is most common in conditioners. Avoid putting it on your hair or scalp.

Hair products for dry, brittle, damaged hair?

I don't need name brands. Just like essence, deep conditioning cream, etc. I'll just pick the best brand for me, but I really don't know the difference between wax and essence or whatever. All I know is that they're hair products and supposedly good for your hair.

I used to have REALLY healthy straight really beautiful hair but I got it colored and permed and now it's a mess. I straighten my hair every morning (started recently) and I want something that'll help it go back to normal. I already use hair essence... What else should I use?

Hair products for dry, brittle, damaged hair?

Healthy hair tips:

Use a moisturizing shampoo condtioner and leave in creme. I reccomened Neutrogena Triple Moisture, shampoo conditioner and deep recovery hair mask. It nourishes and

revitalizes dry dull damaged hair to softer shinier healthier hair everytime you wash it.

Reviews:

Neutrogena.com

If you dye your hair alot, leave your hair alone and wait to dye it atleast 3 years later or so. Hair dye has terrible chemicals that kill dry/damage your hair.

Brush your hair before shampooing and conditioner so your hair won't be tangeled and managable.

Comb your hair about 20 times each side so your natural oils can fall into the rest of your hair for natural shine

Don't wash your hair everyday try 3 times a week, Washing hair everyday strips the natural oils of your hair into duller dry hair.

Discontinue to heat style your hair or your hair will end up more dry/damaged, wait till it's completely healthy and maybe heat style once a week.

Avoid brushing hair while wet, gently use a wide tooth comb, hair is very vulnerable while wet and can break off easily.

Don't put your hair into pigtails, buns or ponytails while wet, that causes split ends, breakage and damage.

Deep condition twice a week to bring back moisture to your hair.

Trim your hair tips every 4-6 weeks to promote healthy hair grow and prevent split ends from happening.

While shampooing massage your scalp with your fingertips slowly, not with your nails, nails damage the scalp and nails tend to be dirty. it's not necessary to shampoo the ends, then rinse with warm water to open the hair cuticles.

While conditioner leave on for about 2-4 minutes so you can get great results then comb hair with wide tooth comb then rinse with very cold water to help seal the hair cuticles.

If you use gel/hairspray/moose stop using them. They damage and dry up your hair because of the alchohol it contains.

If you use heat appliaces (blowdryers, curling irons, hair straightener) use a heat protecter spray so it'll protect your hair from heat.

If hair is really dry, go to the salon to get a deep treatment on your hair.

Once a month use a special deep conditioning treatment like olive oil, vitamin e oil, mayonaisse, eggs, hot oil treatment, castor oil, coconut oil almond oil or avocado.

Take multivimains, vitamin e, follic acid or prenatal vitamins to promote healthy hair growth.

Drink lots of water for shinier/healthier hair and eat lots of protein and healthy food like meat, milk, cheese, peanut butter, eggs pasta, cooked beans and raw vegetables.

If your in the sun alot buy a cap or a hoodie to protect your hair from the sun, heat damages and drys out your hair.

Buy a leave-in-conditioner/leave-in conditioner/creme to moisturize your hair all day long and don't rinse.

After your out of the shower set your blowdryer on cool setting and blowdryer your hair for 2 minutes, this will help seal the hair cuticles for a smooth shiny surface.

While combing hair, comb it gentle to avoid breakage.

Hair Styles for Curly Hair?

I start school on the twenty-fifth. The day before, I'm getting my hair done. Right now it's curly and it goes about to mid-back. It get's frizzy if I leave it down, so most of the time I keep it up in a pony-tail and put some products in it. But it's really so annoying to have everyone be able to do so much more with their hair. So how about some style suggestions? There's got to be a way to do something more with my hair. Does anyone know of a style? If you have links to some styles for my kind of hair, that'd be great. Thank you. :D

Hair Styles for Curly Hair?

really you should talk to your stylist, and make sure you take pictures. One thin i would advise though is consider how much time you are use to while achieving your style now. are you ready to put more time into a new style especially before school starts? are you going to have enough time to master your style?? i seen a lot of comments about products, that is great news, one suggestion use professional products, curly hair has a lot of dimension and can get dull quickly because of the way it reflects light, careful with store bought items they can cause a lot of build up. please don't use lotion for the same reason! try a shine product, also one of my favorite products for curly hair is ringlets by redken, this product helps achieve awesome uniform curls in curly hair! good luck

To help with the frizzies, shampoo your hair at night apply mousse, pull up into ponytail on top of head, twist into bun, let down in the morning.

For styles you could try blow drying your hair straight using a vent brush to pull straight as you dry, don't do this everyday, the stress of pulling straight with heat can damage your hair.

wet it then try mousse, it will keep your hair shiny and keep it from frizzing as well. My friend has the same problem, she uses mousse.

First, when you shower, use Pantene Smooth and Sleek, or the straight hair shampoo. Then, dry your hair with a proffesional dryer, using a round brush to make it somewhat straight. Then, use a hair straightner. Pref. Sedu at folica.com Also when your hair is wet use John Frieda Frizz-Ease.

My hair dresser wont let me choose what i want to do with my hair! what can i do?

okay so heres the story,

im 13 years old and i want to get a sortof scene hair style i want to get it platnum blonde with dark brow underneath and choppy layers my mom has aproved and phoned my hairdresser Rina but i dont like Rina she has this thing that she HAS to throw in her unwanted opinion so she says oh your daighters to young to get her hair that color and i have to say i look quite old for my age so i dont no what she talking about, so every time i ask my mom to switch hair dressers so i can get my hair dyed she says she will ground me if i say it one more time and knowing my hair dresser she will give me something toataly diffrent from what i asked for!

help me please!

[sorry if that has alot of spelling errors and dosnt make scence im kinda rushing]

My hair dresser wont let me choose what i want to do with my hair! what can i do?

Go to a different salon. You are paying for a service. You can explain to Rina if you want why you are switching to a different stylist, write her a letter or something. I went to a salon and they gave me a haircut that was completely wrong for me. I will never go back there. Hair is way too important to continue to go to a place where they don't listen to you. You have to stand up for yourself and find a person who will listen to you and give you what you need.

My hair dresser wont let me choose what i want to do with my hair! what can i do?

Your hair dresser is supposed to do what you want since you're the client. Rina sounds like a drag. Tell her if she wants to get business from you she has to do what you want.

My hair dresser wont let me choose what i want to do with my hair! what can i do?

IF I WERE U, I WOULD DEFINITELY GO TO OTHER SALON!!!!

My hair dresser wont let me choose what i want to do with my hair! what can i do?

Go to a different hairdresser. I think it's good when hairdressers give their opinion, but they should only be suggesting it and you should choose what you want done.

My hair dresser wont let me choose what i want to do with my hair! what can i do?

Your hairdresser is being very unprofessional. You are a client and like the saying goes, "The customer is ALWAYS right". Report her to her manager next time she tries to do that.

My hair dresser wont let me choose what i want to do with my hair! what can i do?

Does your hairdresser have a boss? If so, complain to them. Or make a huge fuss in the hair salon afterwards, making sure to be clear that it isnt what you asked for.

My hair dresser wont let me choose what i want to do with my hair! what can i do?

Go to a different salon.

My hair dresser wont let me choose what i want to do with my hair! what can i do?

First of all the hair style you described sounds cute...that's right, your hairdresser has tgo do what you want. Just tell her the next time, that you will pay for your hair style, and that she has to do what you want. even if your mom didn't approve, she still can't deny to do what you want.....!!

My hair dresser wont let me choose what i want to do with my hair! what can i do?

try talking to the lady who cuts your hair maybe she will understand if u show her a piic or something cause the hair style u want doesnt seem to bad a lot of girls your age have hair like that

My hair dresser wont let me choose what i want to do with my hair! what can i do?

1. Go to different salon

2. yell wat the F*@# Im the client u should do want i want ( or if ur to scared calmly explain to her that u want whatever u want to get )

3. Pour hairgel down her pants

4. don't get haircuts

sorry but she sounds like e real B*@#$

Need professional hair help plz?..?

okaaayyy first lemme tell you the shampoos/conditioners I've gone through and how it effected my hair-

1st-

Dove-I haven't used doved in along time, But everytime I would use it it would damage my hair. And it caused it to frizz

ALOT.

2nd-

reguler pantene for dry hair. what it did was the same thing dove did, damaged and frizzed.

3rd-

tresseme-did the same.

okay, all of the top ones did me the worst..it would firzz up and dry my hair, and after a day or so my hair would gain its natural oil again. And it would be very managable. Bit I wanted something that could make it managebal forever.

then my first "okay" shampoo/conditioner. Aussie, clense and mend shampoo/conditioner. It controlled my hair a bit, And made it softer...but as my hair grew. It changed. And I needed something differant.

aussie-3 minute treatment thing. I HATED That.. it made my hair loose alot color..it made it really thick. And it didn't make it "look" soft. just feel..

(continues)

Need professional hair help plz?..?

Try Sunsilk to repair hair it has (TLC letters on front of bottle) hair,,, its so good and stop using any hair tools (straighteners, curlers, etc) its only damaging ur hair and get a conditioning system like VO5 and do this treatment once a week and just follow the instructions (they also got these conditioning treatments if ur hair is permed but buy regardless if ur hair is not, u could opt for putting Mayonnaise in ur hair too kinda gross but it leaves ur hair silky and it repairs it, put a lot of mayo under a shower cap depending on the damage of hair leave it for 30mins - 1hr then rinse and shampoo to remove build up)

When ever u take a shower make sure u

-brush hair before wetting ur hair

-wet hair then apply shampoo only to scalp, then rinse

-apply shampoo second time and leave on scalp for 2 mins

-apply conditioner but leave on for 10 mins with a shower cap

Need professional hair help plz?..?

of what ethnicity are you? it could be that you have coarse, not very shiny hair biologically.

smoothing serum can help after you're out of shower. They biolage or a baby shampoo and condition. it may sound funny, but it calms your hair follucules and makes them more moist (it is soft and does good attributes to your hair)

hope it works!

With dry, curly&rough hair & fed up of using diff conditioners i've done off my hair.can

i am really fed up of my dry curly and rough hairand also terrible hair fall.i used many shampoos and conditioners but in vain.finally i have done off my hair completely and now i am getting new hair.how can i get smooth good hair which is soft ,healthy and strong?please suggest some means for me to get good glowing long healthy black hair?i have really great passion for good hair.i dream for good hair in fact.please help me out with good advice.thank you

With dry,curly%26amp;rough hair %26amp; fed up of using diff conditioners i've done off my hair.can i get smooth good hair

The key to good hair is nutrition. Take a multivitamin and Vitamin E capsule daily. Eat a decent amount of protein and gelatin for strong hair, and cook with canola oil for shiny hair.

I have dry, frizzy hair and use Garnier Fructis Sleek %26amp; Shine shampoo and conditioner. It really helps. I also use the Sleek %26amp; Shine Fortifying Deep Conditioner once a week. You should look for a deep conditioner at either a drug store or a beauty supply store. I'm sure the sales assistant can help.

I also suggest using either shea butter, olive oil, or coconut oil on your hair every week. Leave one of those on overnight, and wash it out in the morning. Coconut oil is great stuff -- it actually stengthens your hair and adds much needed moisture. You can find coconut oil in a natural food store or online.

I wouldn't suggest blow drying your hair, which may dry it out. And staightening your hair with a hot iron, even an expensive ceramic one, will damage your hair. You hair might look silky when you straighten it, but it will be damaged.

I hope I've been a help. Good luck!

With dry,curly%26amp;rough hair %26amp; fed up of using diff conditioners i've done off my hair.can i get smooth good hair

CUT IT. Then use ONLY salon shampoo/conditioner. I recommend Redken AllSoft.

With dry,curly%26amp;rough hair %26amp; fed up of using diff conditioners i've done off my hair.can i get smooth good hair

Buy a flat iron. They are 30 bucks at wal-mart and i am telling you when you straighten your hair with that your hair feels so smooth and silky just add a bit of frizz ease before straightning your hair.

With dry,curly%26amp;rough hair %26amp; fed up of using diff conditioners i've done off my hair.can i get smooth good hair

It sounds like you could use a silk 10 inch weave LOL!!

Is red hair physically different from brown hair?

Aside from color. I ask because I'm a brunet (I'm male, so brunet is the correct spelling), but have red hairs in my facial hair and side burns. The ones in my side burns are darker and feel thicker than the hair in my beard and on my head, and kind of like wire, they appear thicker as well.

I know hair color is mixed in many people, but is there something I should know about hair of a different texture than what the rest of my hairs are like?

Is red hair physically different from brown hair?

i have "redhead" genes, but not true red hair. the so-called "redhead" gene is quite an interesting one. a mutation that carries with it quite a few peculiarities.

i've researched it in the past and found that it's generally accepted that while redheads, or those with the gene, have fewer hairs per count, the hair itself tends to be thicker. it is still unknown why red hair mixes with other colors or appears only on certain parts of the body, being that it is caused by a variant in a particular chromosome.

(and yes, it is technically considered a mutation....a recessive gene that if carried, may not show up as true red hair, but the carrier may still exhibit some of the other characteristics associated with it. for instance, a heightened sensitivity to pain and resistance to most anesthetics. wierd, huh?)

Is red hair physically different from brown hair?

red hair raises blood pressure in some men.

.

Is red hair physically different from brown hair?

Yes red hair is coarse. But you have not much going on in your life if you feel you SHOULD know about this stuff.

Is red hair physically different from brown hair?

You can have differing hair textures in your head and on your body. I have mainly fine hair, but I have some very thick coarse hairs mixed in, mostly darker.

Is red hair physically different from brown hair?

i have the same thing, sparsely. i know curly hair is flat while straight and wavy is round but i dont think there is anything actually different about it when its just a matter of color. ...other than color itself, like u said.

Is red hair physically different from brown hair?

True red hair is flat in shape like Asian hair. All other colors of hair are cylindrical.

Is red hair physically different from brown hair?

red hair has les eumelanin (brownish black) and lots of pheomelanin (reddish yellow and contains sulfur). the wirey hair is probably flat (and not the usual circle/round shape that straight hair takes).

for the person above (delise), hair shape does not determine hair color (it determines texture). and asians have "cylindrical" hair.

Is red hair physically different from brown hair?

Dear friend ...if you dont get offended -i would like to inform you one thing

According to Body language experts

People with Red hair are Very TRECHEROUS , CUNNING , DECEIVING , SCAMSTERS .....MANUPULATIVE.......

I do not know facts ....but i know one person with red hair ....and it really turned out true !!

So all should be careful of you... :-)

Is red hair physically different from brown hair?

OF COURSE the Physical Aspects ARE Different

Ironing hair all that bad?

I was at the hair salon and my hair dresser told me that MANY girls have fried their hair by ironing it.

How on earth am I supposed to have great hair without ironing it?? How do all those girls out there keep their hair straight %26amp; looking shiny year after year??

My friend swears she irons it every other day and it hasn't gotten brittle. I've known her for 4 years. My hair is in a pony tail today..but I can't do pony tail everday %26amp; my hair won't curl not even with moose...

Ironing hair all that bad?

It isn't, as long as you use a protection spray before you straighten it or curl it. Check out Nexxus's Heat Protection Spray:

Heat Protexx

Are you guilty of unprotected curling, flat ironing, and blow-drying? Then it閳ユ獨 time to start protecting your hair during heat styling.

Benefits:

Your styling iron is no match for Heat Protexx. This alcohol free styling spray acts as a barrier to absorb heat and help prevent breakage. A formula including Amodimethicone, Glycerin, and Dimethicone helps to safeguard hair from styling damage. Hair is rendered smooth and frizz-free without being weighed down.

Ironing hair all that bad?

dudeee!!

that whole frying hair is a bunch of shananigans! i straighten my hair almost everyday and it doesnt even dry out a bit neither will it fry or whatever. go to myspace.com/ayyitsalston add me and i tell u specific instrustions!

%26lt;3 :) ! Report It

Ironing hair all that bad?

heyy,

i iron my hair and by that im guessing you mean straightening it with a hair straightner, my hairdresser and all her friends also straighten their hair, if you have a good hair straightener with ceramic plates then it should be to much of a problem. Just make sure you look after you hair and whenever you can like on a day when you are just staying home dont straighten it just leave it as it will do your hair some good. Good luck.

xx

Nicole

Ironing hair all that bad?

No ironing your hair won't hurt it as long as you use a heat protection spray before straightening it. Also use deep conditioning shampoos and conditioners just to make sure your hair won't fry or get dryed out.

Ironing hair all that bad?

if you use an iron every day then i guess its bad. Dont go over and over and over a section of hair, thats not good. Or ou could talk to your hairdresser and see if she knows any products to curl your hair without an iron

Ironing hair all that bad?

I've used an iron everyday for a long long time now, and I've never had a problem. Then again, I think it depends a lot on your hair type. If you have hair that's prone to being dry and brittle in general, I would stay away. But if not, just use a good iron and some deep conditioner if need be, and you'll be fine.

Ironing hair all that bad?

theres a secret technique in combing hair for straightining.

best effective %26amp; safe way.

i had curly hair but now from curlines %26amp; waviness its getting straightned. (wanna know how?)

1. comb ur hair daily and tie ponny tail ok.dont leave ur hair untied %26amp; uncombed.

2.while combing take a section of hair from side not from front little backward and bring it combing to the front. 'lly do it on either sides.

3. soft comb dont hard comb.

4. if u have knots in between remove it with ur hand slowly %26amp; softly.

5.comb outmost hair then from deep. layer by layer

6.comb %26amp; bring it up

7.do this regularly on all sides.

regarding shamps

use conditioners ur hair will b shiny

Ironing hair all that bad?

there plenty things that will damage your hair, flat ironing is ok if you know how to do it. if there hair is fried it's because they probably had the temp up too high and kept it on the hair for too long...you can't listen to what everyone says even your hair dresser, sometimes it takes more than one opinion and your own eyes to see for yourself.

Ironing hair all that bad?

instead use straightner, but not everyday

Hair clip (barrett) in my hair????

i have side bangs i no pretty much all the styles like ur hair back with a clip or that poffy thingy all of that but i need a style like a barrett in my hair cus i come to school with the same hair all the time i dont know what to do cus i dont like my hair back soo help!!!!!!!! oh i have straight hair

Hair clip (barrett) in my hair????

Get one of those long, kinda thick barretts, and pull just the crown of your hair away from your face and clip it in the center of your head. Or, use two bobby pins that have some sort of decoration on the ends (usually it's sparkly) and clip back both sides of your hair.

My hair only looks good at home!?

I straighten my hair in the morning, which makes it nice and pretty and shiny...in the bathroom mirror at home, at least. Then I go to school and look in the mirror in the bathroom under the fluorescent lights and my hair looks all dull and lackluster and frizzy and has unstraightened itself! It's so freaking GROSS! I have a good straightener too! I have been trying to convince my mom that if she would let me dye my hair darker, it would appear more shiny, but she's like "I said no!" It's not like a little dye is going to kill me...or her for that matter. I shower at night; do you think showering in the morning would help at all with making it less nasty because my hair would get ratty overnight and then I'd get to clean it in the shower? I am convinced that my dull hair is the main problem of my ugliness, and if I had decent hair, I would be very attractive. What do you suggest?

My hair only looks good at home!?

Your 'hair problem' is that you are using 'way too much shampoo' and way too much 'conditioner' on it! That 'builds up' on your hair and makes it look 'dull and lackluster' and also adds to the 'frizziness' you're seeing. Try taking your bottle of shampoo and 'watering it down' with 'two waters to one shampoo' and 'shaking it to mix' and putting that into a bottle. For now, PUT THE CONDITIONERS AWAY and don't use them at all. Wash your hair IN THE MORNING and 'straighten it' ONLY if the 'straightener' is a 'hair iron' and not a 'solution' you put onto your head. If you are using a 'chemical straightener' you are just adding MORE to that 'buildup' on your hair. BRUSH YOUR HAIR THOROUGHLY and DO NOT USE A COMB ... a good brush with 'plastic' bristles that are 'fairly far apart' works best on hair like yours (naturally curly and 'way overprocessed') ... and then DON'T WASH IT UNTIL IT IS REALLY DIRTY. It usually takes 3-7 days for hair to get 'dirty' enough to need washing. Do this 'routine' for at least 4 months and 'ignore those curls' you've got if you can (even 'ironing' your hair can make it 'dull and lackluster') ... and if you 'can't stand it' then go to a good hairdresser and get the 'shortest cut you can' (even a crew cut is good) ... because what you really need to do is let your hair 'heal' after all the 'abuse' you have given it. It will take some time, but you should see in four months that your 'natural hair' is shiny and sparkling and looks 'really good' ... and you should not even 'think' about getting your hair 'dyed' if you are still young enough to have to 'ask your mother' if you can ... because you are 'too young' for it (and so is your HAIR, which needs time to 'grow up healthy' too!). If you still 'hate your hair color' you MAY, on 'rare occasions' buy a 'spray on hair color' that you can 'wash out' before you go to bed the night you put it in ... but NEVER more than one day out of every week for even 'that' ... and I'd pick a really 'cool color' like 'crimson' or 'kiwi green' or blue ... you are a KID and you can do stuff like that and look really 'good' ... but make sure that your hair is 'healthy' before you start, or you'll just end up with 'really icky hair' that can last FAR TOO LONG. If you really 'can't stand your hair' then do what I do on 'bad hair days' and wear a hat when you go out ... NOT A BASEBALL CAP though, because they are 'too tight' and look too 'boyish' ... but a good 'beret' canted over one ear, or a 'girl's hat' like a good straw hat since it's almost summer ... and the 'hat' will actually help PROTECT YOUR HAIR FROM SUN DAMAGE too.

My hair only looks good at home!?

ditto! except for the fact my hair is blone.

My hair only looks good at home!?

Pft! Only looks good at home!?? How is that possible??

I used to think the same thing-- I looked better while I was at home. But do you see yourself through out the day? And did you know that a lot of the times when you look in the mirror, you look the most awkward because you're SOO self-conscious you aren't even looking normal? Don't get so antsy!!

But if there really is a problem with your hair, I'd try giving it a good wash and then putting it in pig tails. It gives your hair shape and keeps it tame. That's what I always do. Good luck :)

Smooth hair like salon with Bumble and Bumble?

I got my hair recently cut and my hair dresser used Bumble and Bumble, but I'm afraid that if I do buy it and wash my hair myself it will not be as shiny and it will appear thicker than if I got it done.

Is there a certain way to wash your hair with the conditioner, like do you have to lather it in until it foams, because usually with my Redken conditioner currently I have to just leave it on and it doesnt foam.

I got a lot of layers and they're practically not visible now when I wash my hair myself.

Smooth hair like salon with Bumble and Bumble?

pretty cool site I've found http://www.the411onhair.com you might find what you're seeking there

Hair growth after hair loss?

i am 15 years old and i have lost lots of my hair about more than half of my head really. can anyone help with this bit because i am really mudddled up. the hair that i have lost was because of low levels of iron in my blood, i want to know if that hair will ever grow back. i mean is it for definet that hair grows back after it has fallen out or is it one thoses where there is a cetain chance. i just want someone to give me a true honest and straightforward answer. i have been up and down og google and doctors and this and that and im just so fed up so im relying on you guys out there to help me please. thank you and believe me your answers are very well appreciated.

Hair growth after hair loss?

okay there is alot of options look in india we do this for hair loss go to a indian grocery store and get almond oil and castor oil make sure its 100%. i want u to mix the oils together and heat it up. when the oil is warm u have to message it on ur scalp and hair. message it for 15 min. leave this on overnight or for 5hr or so. then i want u to get fuit of pack u know shikakai powder, amla powder, and reetha powder. mix the powders and add egg to it leave it on for 3 hrs and wash it off with a herbal shampoo. do this 3 times a week. u can also try medaicated indian oils like arnica go to a website and find mediacted hair oils because my spelling is horrbile and i cant even spell them correctly

Hair color, which would be best for my hair?

i used to have very long hair but i cut it very very shorh. its about 3 inches on top and abotu an inch on the sides, i dont like it much. i thought a diffrent color might help me out. my hair right now is a light brown, its almost silverly, like metalic brown i guess. i dont know if i should go darker or lighter. i have a chunky face which my hair cut dosent help my cause, i used to have a slinder face untill i got on depoprovera (im getting off). i look manly. i want to look more like a woman. i look like a boy!! i see beautiful girls with beautiful short hair but mine just dosent do a good thing for me. what should i do? color?

Hair color, which would be best for my hair?

don't color it - invest in a bunch of pairs of great earrings. makes you look v. sophisticated, can change every day depending on your mood, and isn't a nasty chemical that could mess up your hair.

Hair color, which would be best for my hair?

By chunky do yu mean dark?? I derno...Maybe blond with a few highlights?? or auburn??

Hair color, which would be best for my hair?

why don't you get highlights the spring season is here and highlights will give you a dramatic change and won't make you look manly. darker hair usually makes you look a little older.

Hair color, which would be best for my hair?

u need a pic on here so we can c what u look like. u should get your hair cut even. then curl it and dye it a light brown u will look attractive and not like a guy. It will b pretty if u do it right.

Hair color, which would be best for my hair?

Depends on your skin tone, if you have very pale skin, blonde is fine if you have dark skin go darker...

but id recommend trying out with highlights rather than an all over dye, because tehn you wont get into the cycle of having to keep dying your hair (which will damage it, and it wont grow bac as quick or as healthy as u want it too)

Japanes Hair Straightening/Thermal Reconditioning??

I might be getting Thermal Reconditioning done in my hair befor high school starts. if any of you guys got it done, can you tell me if it ruins your hair? Does your hair fall out or stop growing? I have been thinking about this since two years. I'm 14, does my age matter? Do any of you guys recommend a salon to get it done at in New York? To be specific, let's say Queens, New York?? After I get it done, can I highlight it or color it? How straight does your hair get: flatiton straight or really straight? If you have gotten it done, can you show me a picture of how your hair looks like (if possible)? Is it worth worth the price? Websites for salons or before/after pics or info will be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!!!!! 閳?br>Japanes Hair Straightening/Thermal Reconditioning??

Ive done it 4 times. And love it. You should try to do it at the most once a year, more than that is not good. I dont think its too damaging since Ive done it 4 times already and my hair still looks great, although I must say its not as shiny and smooth as it was the first time. I say go to Chinatown. They have tons of salons that do it.

As for coloring and highlighting, now that stuff is damaging, add that to the straight perm and you are frying your hair. The straight perm is good if you dont mind having simple straight hair all the time, cause doing more to it will damage it, also you cant make it curly and do diff things when u get the perm. I am happy with having it plain, straight and black forever!

Japanes Hair Straightening/Thermal Reconditioning??

haven't done it myself but many friends have.

it will be dead straight. like so straight my friends with thin hair looked bad because it looked flat.

it lasts until your hair grows out enough.

Hair ideas!!!!!!!!!!! i have long, straight, thin hair(keep on reading)?

Hair ideas!!!!!!!!!!! i have long, straight, thin hair(keep on reading)?

KK get it cut a little below the shoulder, and then have it layered from the bangs up to about the ears. on the bangs, have them do a side sweep bangs, if you like the look of one of ur eyes partially covered, personally I think it is hella hott!!!

good luck!

Hair ideas!!!!!!!!!!! i have long, straight, thin hair(keep on reading)?

get your hair layered it can still be long but add body to it by doing short layers :)

Hair ideas!!!!!!!!!!! i have long, straight, thin hair(keep on reading)?

show off the starit were it down (it will look super dramic too)

Hair ideas!!!!!!!!!!! i have long, straight, thin hair(keep on reading)?

first of all i need to say how lucky u r to have straight hair! stragiht hair rarely gets really frizzy and is soo easy to wear down because every1 else in the world stresses over hair stragihteners and u dont have to! so all u have to do is cut your hair in a cute style, maybe get some volumizing shampoo since your hair is thin and there u go! good luck!

Hair ideas!!!!!!!!!!! i have long, straight, thin hair(keep on reading)?

I think you should give yourself some layering to add a bit more omph to your hair, also some long swoopy bangs with face framing. You'd be amazed what some fringe around the face can do. For styling try putting some volumizine mousse on the roots of your hair when its wet, blow dry, and curl 1 inch sections with a 1 inch barrel curling iron. Good Luck!

Hair ideas!!!!!!!!!!! i have long, straight, thin hair(keep on reading)?

since you have long, thin, stright hair you should consider to put a moose after you take a shower in the morning and then blow dry it. it wil give it more body

Hair ideas!!!!!!!!!!! i have long, straight, thin hair(keep on reading)?

well I often have the same problem with my hair and I have recently started wearing my hair wavy cause it adds volume to your hair and also creates a sexy look here's how I do it

閳? Wash your hair with a volumising shampoo and conditioner and then blow-dry with your head turned upside down to create fullness and volume at the roots. If you have fine hair, do not add conditioner as it is too heavy, try a thickening spray instead.

閳? Once hair is dry, add some large velcro rollers, or use a large curling tong, to divide off small, random sections for soft, wavy, loose curls.

閳? Once hair is curled, style with either a brush or your fingers and then add a touch of hairspray to mold the style into shape.

閳? Styling tip: when using velcro rollers, heat them up under your blow-dryer for about 10 minutes for added staying power and curl.

Hair Dying Help!!! PLEASE!!?

I went to a salon about 5 months ago with fading black hair, and asked them to do this on it. She said she couldnt do it because my hair was too dark and it would be fried, so she just gave me streaks instead. Now that they grew out, i need to get my hair done again, but it is ALOT lighter now. it is between medium and light brown, with a hint of auburn, (i died my hair bright red a few years ago). Do you think i can do it now without my hair like.... falling out? Please help!!

heres the picture.

http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v515/h...

Hair Dying Help!!! PLEASE!!?

If you died your hair red a few years ago it would have grown out by now, dye only changes the hair you have not the newly grown in hair, that's why roots are a different color.

As for the new dye job, go to a reputable salon and talk to a color specialist. They can give you the look you want without leaving your hair feeling dead and dry. Going too drastic, too fast will definitely leave your hair fried. That is why you have to get a professional to do it.

Also, bring pictures! Hair stylists need to know exactly what you want so you don't leave feeling like you just wasted a bunch of money.

Hair Dying Help!!! PLEASE!!?

Yes, you can. Just go to a stylist.

Hair Dying Help!!! PLEASE!!?

go to the salone and see what they say. I would say if you use a really good conditioner then you should be ok

Hair Dying Help!!! PLEASE!!?

So is that you in the picture or is that how you want your hair to look?

Hair Dying Help!!! PLEASE!!?

omg ur so pretty

Hair Dying Help!!! PLEASE!!?

You hair's very cute. Go to a higher class styling salon, they might use better products and have better training?????

It shouldn't be a problem.

Hair Dying Help!!! PLEASE!!?

pretty... but well parts of ur hair are still balck so i woulnt take the risk.. ask ur hairstylist if or not its a good idea tho

I lose about 80 hairs a day. I never knew that I was even losing that much hair.?

When I wash my hair and comb it after I wash it when it is wet I lose about 15 hairs. I just realized that all of the hair falling out is when I am blow drying it. I put a towel underneath my hair when I am blow drying it, and that's where it all falls out, and then after when I tug at the ends after blow drying it, it comes out then. Also, if I brush it after blow drying it that's also when the hair is falling out. I blame alot of it on the blowdryer. My question is that I wonder if the majority of hair that falls out from blowdrying is coming out from the root or just breaking. Is all of this hair fall normal. You wonder if your hair is really growing back.

I lose about 80 hairs a day. I never knew that I was even losing that much hair.?

Don't worry :) The average person loses about 100 strands of hair a day. You only need to worry if you find yourself developing a bald spot or two. In that case, it might be genetic or poor nutrition. If anything, if you are really worried, go see your doctor. But 80 strands is fine, you probably lost even more because the average is 100. So yea, hope this was helpful and good luck!

I lose about 80 hairs a day. I never knew that I was even losing that much hair.?

im pretty sure it grows back..i think thats normal (but not sure)

I lose about 80 hairs a day. I never knew that I was even losing that much hair.?

I LOOSE HAIR I THINK IT IS NORMAL YOU CAN ALWAYS TO TALK TO COSMOTOLOGIST! :)

I lose about 80 hairs a day. I never knew that I was even losing that much hair.?

Yeah, it grows back. Maybe you've got a thyroid problem. See your doctor.

I lose about 80 hairs a day. I never knew that I was even losing that much hair.?

Everyone loses hairs at about the same rate. It's if you grow them back or not that counts. Unless it comes out in clumps, then you might have alapecia or however you spell it.

I lose about 80 hairs a day. I never knew that I was even losing that much hair.?

if your hair falls out from the root, then it wont grow back. but i've heard on tv that you lose about 80 hairs a day.

I lose about 80 hairs a day. I never knew that I was even losing that much hair.?

thats normal. dont get afraid

I lose about 80 hairs a day. I never knew that I was even losing that much hair.?

i read from some article tat v lost abt 50-100 hair a day

Another chest hair shaving question?

I'm a 20 year old male, I've had chest hair developing for a quite a while but it isn't that thick and is only in patches. One patch is on my lower neck so that some of the brown colored hairs are visible when I'm wearing a T-shirt. The hairs are not thick, there are just maybe a dozen somewhat long hairs. I never really thought about it but I thought it might make me appealing to the opposite sex if I shave these hairs.

So I guess I have two questions.

Guys: Is it normal to shave off the exposed hairs on your lower neck? If so, should I use razor or electric?

Ladies: Is my little patch of hair sticking out really that bad? Is it considered unappealing at my age?

Thanks!!!!!!!

Another chest hair shaving question?

in those days if u dont have hair on ur chest ur not a man... i still consider it true....

Another chest hair shaving question?

Kill it.

Another chest hair shaving question?

All I can say, is if I had that issue, I'd be in BIG trouble!! LOL!!

Another chest hair shaving question?

Get rid of it, especially if it's patchy. But wouldn't suggest shaving it, try waxing.

Another chest hair shaving question?

If you shave it, it will only come back in thicker. And cause more hair to grow. Have you thought of ecologist services.

Another chest hair shaving question?

Use the VEET blade less hair removal cream. If it's bothering you that's reason enough to get rid of it.

Another chest hair shaving question?

It wouldn't bother me.

Another chest hair shaving question?

Most hair looks nicer if it's trimmed a little and neatly kept. I don't think it's necessary to shave %26amp; if you do, you will itch every couple of days as it starts to grow back.

If someone likes you, I don't think it'll be so important, however, women appreciate neatness and good personal hygiene.

Another chest hair shaving question?

Wax it off... chest hair is only sexy on older men. Yumm!!

Another chest hair shaving question?

Pull it out with tweezers...doesn't sound like you have enough to worry about. Do this often enough and it will be gone for good. Good luck

Another chest hair shaving question?

Definitely get rid of it. Pulling it out with tweezers is a good approach as is waxing it away. If you shave the area use a straight razor first and then shave the area daily with your electric. As time goes by less and less hair will grow back. If you shave it use cold water and a fresh blade.

Another chest hair shaving question?

Wax it!

As a woman, personally I don't like hairy chests, but every woman has her own preference.

Another chest hair shaving question?

Chest hair=gross! Get rid of it (nobody enjoys licking hair)!

Another chest hair shaving question?

I'm not crazy about hair, but every woman is different.

If it is really bothering you, wax it. Don't shave! It's really annoying for a woman to have stubble rubbed against her breasts or chest in general!

If you wax, it might itch a little. But after a few times, it will be ok.

Another chest hair shaving question?

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.

Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.

Electrolysis and laser hair removal are "permanent" hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

A review of the various hair removal methods is available at http://tinyurl.com/ob6tt

Another chest hair shaving question?

i personally like chest hair - i find it very masculine.. and exciting :)

Another chest hair shaving question?

I personally dont like body hair...try using Nair shaving will only make the hair thicker

Another chest hair shaving question?

I personally don't like hairy chests on men...yuck

Another chest hair shaving question?

Leave it alone, I love chest hair!

Allergic reaction to hair dye?

ok i have the tendency to dye my hair.. obviously...i have never had a problem with dying my hair till about a year ago i dyed it black and the next day tried to put bright red highlights that were supposed to work with black hair (without bleaching) needless to say it didn't work and i started semi breaking out. well the day after that i redyed my hair back to black ( i know very very bad for my hair) and i later fully broke out because or some type of reaction about two months ago i redyed my hair again to cover my brown and i broke out once again....so my question is do u think i caused my self to become allgergic to hair dye or might it just be because i used cheap hair dye the last two times i've dyed my hair

Allergic reaction to hair dye?

I think it may be the kind of dye you are using. You could have some problems with the acid in the dye. However, this would not pop up just because you colored your hair twice or three times in a row. I have done that before to my self and friends.

However dye can be very hard on your skin.

Try going to a salon, have them try and see what happens with some high end chemicals that are less harsh on the process, your hair and your head.

In order for the chemicals to work that are in the store, they use different reactor chemicals than the ones used in a salon.

Sucks, sorry to hear about the problem.

Allergic reaction to hair dye?

Can you please let me know if you have found a soloution to your problem. Have you tried a semi-permanant dye ? Report It

Allergic reaction to hair dye?

each time you dye your hair you sorta burn your skin.So yes i think you over did it before and now your skin is allergic too it.

Allergic reaction to hair dye?

Thats because hair dye from teh box has peroxide in it, which is unhealthy to not only you, but the planet. im sure its very common to get allergic reactions to hair color that isnt professional. next time go to a salon, and im sure you will be safe. good luck =]

Hair color help, please?

I went from blond to dark, dark brown with caramel highlights but the highlights ended up looking almost yellow, yuck! That was last Wednesday. Today I went back to the stylist, asked her to cover my highlights with dark brown, then, put black in certain parts; the tips of my bangs, some of the hair on the side and the hair right above my nape. I've seen brown/black combos that I thought were cool. Unfortunately, although I explained it 3 or 4 times, I now have hair that's BLACK ALL OVER.

My question is this: am I stuck with plain black hair (I really wanted the two-colored hair!) or is there something that can be done to make a different color in certain spots? Not highlights, just the areas I already mentioned like my bangs, the sides, etc.

Thanks for your help!

Hair color help, please?

it will fade! because you started with blonde. and unfortunately but fortunately it will happen. you could use a clarify a couple of times make sure to vigorously shampoo hair. follow it up with a professional shampoo and conditioner. its early enough for a lot of home remedies to work also ie; lemon , tide.

Hair color help, please?

Have them strip the color from the parts you want done and do the color you actually want.

And the next time you get it dyed, SAY SOMETHING if they're doing it wrong.

Hair weave?

me and my friends are here and we have really bushy afro hair and we absolutley hate it so much weboth want hair weave but are parentsz disagre cuz aperently when you go to take the hair weave out it rips out youree hair is this true please answer please so much we really neeed it and btw or is there any teqnies to help our hair grow long and makeit thick and we want it straight silky and kind of wavy please hel if you caN ANY answers will be great thank yooh guyz sooo much xxxxxx wil give all the suggestons a try xxx

Hair weave?

I wear extensions and I love them!! If you do the sew in method you will be fine and your hair keeps growing.

Another method for extra thick hair is get a chi iron!! They work. keep your hair moisturized and use your chi iron your hair will lay flat. I tend to alternate between hair extensions and my real hair. Compromise with your parents and ask if you could just put a couple of sew in tracks in so your hair will be easier to manage. Good Luck!

Will hair extensions make my thin hair thick?

I have long straight thin hair, and don't know what to do with it. Will hair extensions make my hair look thicker? Is just wash and go and looks great? Are hair extensions waht people call tracks in your hair? What should I do with my hair?!!

Will hair extensions make my thin hair thick?

Hi, Extensions are a fantastic way to make thin hair thicker! I wear them, and love them.... but, and it is a BIG BUT!

Make sure you get the good quality hair! it needs to say REMY CUTICLE HAIR not 100% human hair there is a big difference...

Remy hair is not chemically treated, it is the same as the hair on your head, all of the cuticle is going the same direction, and it is not usually colored or straightened.

When it says human hair... it is usually Asian hair, that has been bleached and colored, sometimes permed, and no guarantees the cuticle is even on the hair.... this hair will tangle BADLY!!!

so spend a little money on them... you do get what you pay for...

also I recommend going to a salon and having them done... they know what they are doing, and will help you get the look you want, and do it correctly.....

ask for references, and before and after pictures.... take in a picture of what you want! but remember they are stylists not magicians : )

extensions, if treated properly, and if you use high quality hair, can last 6 months to 1 year. I am going on 8 months now with my hair!

another neat thing to do with extensions is you can make it look like you have highlights, without adding the damage bleach would add to your hair, ask your stylist about it!

hope this helped, if you have any more ?? feel free to message me!

Will hair extensions make my thin hair thick?

If you dont want hair breakage, i have the solution. Hairlocs. they a do not damage your hair, and look great. In fact they are designed for people with thin hair, and can add alot of thickness. They use only the best full cuticle hair, and last for a year with salon appointments ever 3 months. Report It

Will hair extensions make my thin hair thick?

Not really! they can only tie in the extensions to existing hair. if you have fine hair it might look thinner, (fewer extensions)

Will hair extensions make my thin hair thick?

Yea, If you sew in some extention tracks, it'll make your hair appear thicker if its done right. A lot of celebrities like Beyonce, Jessica Simpson, and Britney Spears resort to extentions to make their hair appear thicker and longer.

Will hair extensions make my thin hair thick?

I have avoided hair extensions because I have heard from friends that it breaks your hair. A few have ended up having to cut the damaged ends, in some cases to drastic short lengths, but consult with a hair stylist who may give you tips on protecting your hair.

As for me, I use a layered hairstyle to give my own long, thin, straight hair more body.

Will hair extensions make my thin hair thick?

I have medium to thick hair I've had exstensions and yes there called trackes there are numerous ways to put them in sowing weaving glue etc I had them weave mine befor you go to bed make sure they are completly dry any ways my hair was soooooo thin when she took them out I couldnt believe it I will never get them again just letting you know that if you aleready have thin hair then you might always want to have them in some people only where them in certain places of there head like the crown area, They are alot of work if you have your whole head done and the only way that I would ever get them again is fusion and it cost alot like 800 1000 they individualy fuse them to little pieces of hair a t one time but they look better then the tracks hope this help

Will hair extensions make my thin hair thick?

As a favor to a coworker, I spent three hours pulling those out of someones hair the other day. What a pain in the ***. They will make thin hair look thicker but what a lot of trouble. You have to come in every couple of weeks to have them separated because they get stuck together. Some stylists won't tell you this but for best care you aren't supposed to use a hairdryer. If they are put in poorly they hurt. And up close they really don't look all that great. I could go on. I don't know though if individual extensions are refered to as tracks.

Will hair extensions make my thin hair thick?

yes.

Longer hair?

Longer hair?

..................................

Shampoo and Conditionair has Nothing to do with hair growth!!

Hair is mad out of protien so : green and yellow fruits and vegtables, like bannanas. Fish, peanut butter [ not alot cus thats not good for your skin if you overgo that ] Just look on the labels and see how much protien grams they have 2 grams is one tablespoon. Hair grows like an inch a month. atleast an 8th. Don't overbrush your hair, use your hands to comb through. Ever heard of massaging your scalp? well that does help. Because hair is made up of dead blood cells aswell, so when you touch your scalp they die and get added to your hair. You know how short guys with short short hair is? over 1million cells are in there. thats' why if you grab 1 hair and move your finger up and down, you can feel texture.

Anyway hope that helps

lol a bit TMI

Should i keep mi hair or change it back to brown?

it would help if you could post a picture, so we have some ideas.

dying your hair too often can damage it, but if you're really uncomfortable in blonde, you better stick with dark brown, copper brown, capuccino brown.

then afterward pamper your hair with hair mask or hair vitamin regulary to avoid hair damage.

good luck :)

Should i keep mi hair or change it back to brown?

Go back to brown.

Should i keep mi hair or change it back to brown?

Don't dye your hair again for another two weeks!

Should i keep mi hair or change it back to brown?

go back but post a pic maybe if we could see it but dont dye it for a while or you can damage your hair

Should i keep mi hair or change it back to brown?

My opinion go back to your original color hair.

Should i keep mi hair or change it back to brown?

Did you try dark/ almost reddish brown?

Should i keep mi hair or change it back to brown?

Don't dye your hair too soon, it can become quite damaged with all the processing. If you don't like the blonde anymore try using a non permanent color over it for several weeks before redying it. The non permanent colors aren't as harsh as the permanent ones.

Hair drying?

I take a shower in the night, so I don't have to rush in the morning for school. I usually like to dry my hair with the hair dryer so I don't go to bed with wet hair and wake up with frizzy hair. Is it okay to dry your hair if you use the low or cool setting and sometimes use a hair protectant on the ends of my hair? Thanks! :)

Hair drying?

YES!!!!! Low setting is okay. I dry my hair with a hair dryer every day. :)

Hair drying?

yes its ok to dry your hair at night i do it every nite so my hair dosen't get curly and frizzy amber

Hair drying?

Hi there,

yes low setting is fine!! I dry my hair everyday with a hair dryer also. you might want to apply a serum (anti-frizz) I love the kiwi brand (blow silk) or sebastian (laminates drops) it tends to help with the frizz!!

Hair drying?

Yes Ma'am!

I actually will use the medium setting on my own hair and clients hair. As long as you condition your hair in the shower and use a leave in conditioner or a smoothing serum, your hair should be A OK!

Hair drying?

i dry my hair everyday with the hottest setting so i think low setting would be okay.

Does hair conditioner make your hair oily?

I use a really lovely shampoo from my hairdresser and a conditioner to match - my daughter has really long hair. I always thought you put the shampoo on the top of your head, massage it in and let the water rinse it out down your hair, then you only put conditioner on the ends of your hair where it needs it and then wash it out? If you put it on the top of your head won't it mix with the natural oils in your hair and tend to look a little oily? My daughter has really long hair and I told her not to put it on top of her head - maybe I'm wrong... what works well for you?

Does hair conditioner make your hair oily?

The right kind of conditioner will not make your hair look oily. It is important that your hair is moisturized from root to tip, it makes it easier to manage (combing/brushing, etc). While the roots may not need a deep conditioning treatment, unless your hair is particularly oily it should not hurt to condition your whole head of hair.

Instead of asking, you should experiment by conditioning your full head and seeing how it looks afterward. Everyones hair is different, and if it looks greasy then you should probably try a lighter conditioner. I would suggest experimenting- nothing can give you a better answer than personal experience. You might love the way your hair looks and feels fully conditioned!

My personal favorite shampoo/conditioners are Infusium 23 brand, they condition really well and never make my hair look greasy.

Does hair conditioner make your hair oily?

I think you can put it all overs and see what happends. But if her hair is natural, the conditioner maybe to heavy for her hair and make it oily. Try it all over! Don't use color care or something for dry hair if her hair is natural(no chemicals in it). Hope it helps

Does hair conditioner make your hair oily?

shampoo is designed to strip your hair of evyerthing, including the natural oils that your hair produces. Condition acts like a lotion for your hair. thats why it is suggested to wash your hair with shampoo every other day.

Does hair conditioner make your hair oily?

You need to shampoo ALL of your hair, not just the top. Rinsing it through isnt' enough to really wash it.

For conditioning, I only condition the ends, because conditioners leave a waxy buildup that weighs down my hair and makes it look limp. I condition the ends so I can still brush it, without conditioner, my hair (curly) gets tangled AND frizzy. So I condition the ends to keep them soft, but not the top so that it still has some volume. You CAN condition the top, and it won't make your hair oily. When you shampoo your hair, you wash all the oils away, so there is nothing there to "mix".

Hair products for naturally curly hair?

Does anyone here know what the best products for someone who is African-American and has naturally curly hair are? I need products that are inexpensive as I am in college right now.

Currently I use Infusium-23 Leave In Conditioner, Wave Nouveau Moisturizing Finishing Lotion, and Dr. Miracles 2-in-1 Shampoo.

I use the Wave Nouveau product because it's the only one that I've found that will work with my curly, thick hair, I know that it's supposed to be used for people who have texturizers but it's what my hair stylist told me to use.

What are the other products that are out there for African-American naturally hair?

Hair products for naturally curly hair?

Northwest Scents products are made for African American hair. You can find out about them at http://stores.ebay.com/Grow-Natural-Blac...

The products are gentle and moisturizing and made for people with highly textured, dry hair.

How to straighten hair thats only a few inches long?

I am new to the whole hair straightener concept, especially for guys it can be weird. But, I was wondering if there was a way to straighten hair the correct way. I have a decent straightener and used it for my bangs. I am going for the scene style but not so hardxcore.

I am having trouble with the straightener because it burns when i lay it against my forehead ..lol. Now my hair is sticking up in a horizontol fashion instead of down. My hair is only like 2 inches long! The straightener barely runs threw the strands of hair. How can I overcome this?

Any ways or styles to go about the hair straightener in a fashionable sense?

I use hair glue, but sometimes my hair looks caked any tips on this also?

How to straighten hair thats only a few inches long?

you should wash your hair with a srtaightening shampoo n conditioner...like paul mitchell super skinny...n try to blow dry it straight...like in the direction you want it do go...

How to straighten hair thats only a few inches long?

if you were really desperate. you could get the chemical used to perm hair.. and put it on your hair .. then comb it out so it will be straight.. but i don't know that would work very well..

How to straighten hair thats only a few inches long?

Start at the scalp and move down from there (careful not to burn yourself). If it sticks up go to the store and get some styling gell or a hairspray of somesort.

How to straighten hair thats only a few inches long?

U can always use a hair dryer to straighten ur hair.

How to straighten hair thats only a few inches long?

http://www.folica.com/CHI_Original_Mi_d1...

This is a chi straightener... it may be a bit expensive, but it's only 1/2 wide.... it doesn't necessarily have to be a "CHI" but look for straighteners of that size... they are usually used for guys hair... also use TIGI products they have all sorts of hair products for all types of guys hair....

Hope this helps

Hair bumps in or behind head?

I'm 23 yrs old and I come from a Bi-racial background. I have some bumps behind my head in my hair and I was wondering what causes those bumps to appear? I dont ever shave my head or anything I just get shape up haircuts in the Barbershop but I tell them not to cut my hair too low. Everytime after I get haircuts, when I get home I immeditaly always shampoo and condition my hair so that I wont catch any infections from the hair clippers that barbers use on my head just to be safe. Sometimes I apply grease in my hair or maybe some oil. I also wonder does applying too much hair grease cause bumps in your head too?

Hair bumps in or behind head?

hmm... i get one or two sometimes because when i tie my hair i pull it too tightly...

Why does head hair constantly grow, arm hair and cat hair grow then stop?

As we all know, our head hair grows constantly so long as we're alive (and even seems to grow a little when we're dead, but that's just because the skin dries out), and without a haircut, as a baby grew to an adult, its hair could very well grow down to it's butt, or even to it's toes and it'd look like Cousin It. However, hair on every other part of our body, be it arms, knuckles, chest, armpits, pubes, or legs, seems to grow to a cirtain length, then stop. Meanwhile, on many animals the same thing seems to happen. If part of a cat is shaved for surgery or whatnot, it's hair will grow back to the length of the rest of it's hair (or in this case, fur), and no longer. Why does this happen? Why doesn't our hair stop growing after a cirtain length, and for that matter, why doesn't, for example, our arm hair grow indefinitely?

Why does head hair constantly grow, arm hair and cat hair grow then stop?

All hair has a set length at which it stops growing the follicle rests then drops the old hair and grows a new one.

The hair on our heads has a much longer set length than the hair elsewhere. Most folks have their hair cut long before it reaches the point of not growing any further.

Between the age of 20 and 32 I never had may hair cut. It stopped getting longer when it reached the small of my back.

There's a good bit of variation on what the set length for head hair is amongst people though. Same goes for beard hair as well.

Why does head hair constantly grow, arm hair and cat hair grow then stop?

All hair grows continuously. Arm hair and the like just shed with greater frequency.

Why does head hair constantly grow, arm hair and cat hair grow then stop?

All the hair on our bodies grows continuously. The hair on our head is obviously much denser, and the hairs are very seldom shed. The hairs on the remainder of our body (with the exception of the beard for men) are shed quite frequently, so they never have the chance to grow long.

Why does head hair constantly grow, arm hair and cat hair grow then stop?

hair grows .005mm a day. that is all i know. not to split hairs
