i used l'oreal but i want sumthing that will possibly improve the condition of my hair or won't ruin it at all at least...

HELP?

Natural hair color/highlights/dye...??

HENNA. [mehendi]

If your hair is black, it will be very dark chestnut with red highlights. If your hair is blonde, henna may make it vibrant red or strawberry blonde. If your hair is red, henna will restore vibrant red color and glossiness that you lose to age and sun damage. If your hair is mousy brown, henna may make it rich red or copper penny red.If your hair is medium brown, your hair may come up the color of an Irish Setter dog.

If your hair is dark brown, it will be deep chestnut with red highlights in the sunshine. If your hair has gone all gray, henna may make it orange. If your hair is brown streaked with grey, it may be rich auburn with red threads.

Natural hair color/highlights/dye...??

As a professional cosmetologist No hair color is good for your hair if you do not use hair color in excess you should not have a condition problem unless your hair is dry to begin with then I would suggest having it done professionally

How to grow your hair back quick from a African American male? Also what are some advantage of me cut

I am a African American male looking from quick ways to grow my hair back.I had to cut my hair to get the perm out off it, i took my hairdresser advice.I had hair to my shoulders or past my ear(compares what hair style). I now have twist but they are really short, which i heard make your hair grow twice as fast but not sure it is true.I was also wondering is it possible for me to grow my hair to my ear in 2-5 months.I feel like cutting my hair was the biggest mistake i made in years.helps please cause i really want my hair back before the end of this year also my hair grow pretty already to every else just not fast enough to me.

Will dying damaged hair darker make it break off like bleach would?

my hair is naturally a dark blonde color. some people even mistake it as brown(but its not) and ive always highlighted it light blonde. a year ago i dyed it and it came out awful;a coppery yellowish color. i regreted it big time. i knew if i dyed it again after that it would come out even worse. i decided to try and let my natural hair color grow out.. but when it got about half way i stupidly dyed it blonde again because the 2 different colors looked trashy. it came out about the same ugly color it was before; but now its real dry and damaged %26amp; has lots of split ends. now my natural hair color has grown about 2 inches and it looks really trashy (once again) and totally lowers my confidence. if i went to a salon and asked them to dye my hair my natural hair color(which would be a darker color)would it make my hair break off? or does dying damaged hair darker make it worse?.or do i need to wait a year %26amp; a half for my natural hair to grow out.. which would be my last resort

Will dying damaged hair darker make it break off like bleach would?

I would let my hair "rest" for a little while ...

I would go and get my ends trimmed regularly ...then I would do some at home deep conditioning. You can go to Sally's Beauty Supply and get a good "deep" conditioner you can either get it in packs or a jar of it ...i would recommend getting a jar ..and its not really expensive and get a pack of processing caps. Then I would wash my hair then apply a generous amount of conditioner and then put on a processing cap then take a thin damp towel and microwave it for 35-45 seconds and wrap it around your hair. I would leave this on for an hour or longer if you want just remember to keep reheating the towel. Then when you are done rinse really well and at the end of the rinse turn the water to cold and rinse really quick in just cold water. I would do this two or three times a week if time will allow it . Drink lots of water and try to eat healthy and remember to get your hair trimmed and try and let your hair air dry whenever you can and your hair will start to get healthy again. And when your ready you can still use your flat iron and things just remember to do a deep conditioning at least once a week even once your hair gets healthy.....

Hope this was helpful ~~

Good Luck ~~

You can good a good deep conditioning treatment or jar at Sally's and it isn't expensive and make sure you ask the clerk there that it is a color safe product, i feel certain it will be but you never know. I try alot of the home remedies and most of them work.....just be careful if you try them because a few of them did lightened my color ... :(

Will dying damaged hair darker make it break off like bleach would?

No it won't

Will dying damaged hair darker make it break off like bleach would?

nope it shouldn't

Will dying damaged hair darker make it break off like bleach would?

i don't think it will happen.

Will dying damaged hair darker make it break off like bleach would?

yes!!!!! do not process it

Will dying damaged hair darker make it break off like bleach would?

no darker colors don't contain the chemicals that are more harmful to your hair. i once dies my naturally dark brown hair this blond color and it was like fried then i cut it off and it was all smooth and nice.

Will dying damaged hair darker make it break off like bleach would?

dont dye it more. Be patient and just let it grow out. Trim your hair occastionally so the split ends dont occur. Be careful not to dye yyour hair 2 much. The best thing to do is to wait. But if you must, i recomend the less powerful hair dyes you can find at the drugstore. It wont break off, but it will feel itchy and disgusting.

Will dying damaged hair darker make it break off like bleach would?

Yeah. my hair is naturally dark and i dyed it blonde. Then i went dark again. I had really unhealthy hair when it was blonde, but going dark makes it a ton healthier. I would use aquage strengthening shampoo and conditioner. It helps alot.

Will dying damaged hair darker make it break off like bleach would?

So when you dyed it yourself you used Dye, and not bleach?

Dye can ONLY lift your hair to a certain level. I would highly recommend going to a salon only because i have come across many situations like this. Some people dye their hair so much it can be just as damaging as bleaching your hair. There are MANY different kinds of hair care products out there for people who bleach their hair a lot. People who go blonde lack proteins in their hair.

anyways, if you color your hair using a box dye now, you can't be gaurenteed the result on the box because box colors are SPECIFICALLY for natural hair, i wish they would list that one the box. for virgin hair only.

And no, i can easily say your hair shouldn't break off if you go darker. When you go darker with your hair, you are actually ADDING to your hair, and not taking away.

Will dying damaged hair darker make it break off like bleach would?

be ready to pay some money now they have to do a corrective color which cost more, thats why stylist have license . I dont know why people think they can color or highlights there own hair. if you use blow dryers daily or flat irons on top of all that color yes it will break, Im assuming you didnt have money to go to the hairstylist in the first place so you probably wont have the money to buy quality shampoo and conditioners recommended. keep cutting until you get rid of the old colored hair and only the stylist can say you natural color level.

Will dying damaged hair darker make it break off like bleach would?

Coloring your hair is not as damaging as bleach, but it does damage some. The darker you color your hair, the healthier it looks. I would go ahead and color it, then I would get good professional shampoo and conditioner. Make sure your hair dresser gives you a deep conditioner. Also tell your hair dresser to fill in the blonde first, so you don't get that nasty color.

Will dying damaged hair darker make it break off like bleach would?

Bleaching (aka making your hair lighter) is always more harmful than darkening. However, dying your hair period is not exactly a great thing. But, I dye my hair alot, so I know what to do and what not to do. I dye my hair darker because I prefer darker hair colors. But, first you need to treat your hair. I would try a deep conditioner like Bumble %26amp; Bumble's deeep conditioner, or any one that is heavy. You need to leave it in for a long time, and after showering, you need to start soaking your hair in leave-in-conditioner. I would do this at least once or twice a week so you're hair will become healthier. Also, try Natural Match hair dyes, because they are much more milder than regular dyes. But, I would cool it on the bleaching for awhile. Otherwise, you'll be wearing wigs when you're older.

Straight 2 wavy hair?

i have really straight hair, boring, thin, yuck. i want it wavy. my hair is about 5 or 6 inches past my shoulders. please don't tell me 2 us hairspray after using curlers. i don't like hairspray, i want just my natural hair without any type of hair stuff in it. maybe gel, depends, i want my hair soft and without that feeling of something used in it. i've used curlers b4, and they either give me super CURLY hair or they come out easy, or barely wave. they don't do anything right. does some1 have any suggestions on what i could do 2 wave my hair and keep it that way all day.

i want 2 do this process the night b4, not necessarily in the morning. i get up very early and get ready 4 school, so i barely have time 4 this stuff and have 2 suffer with my awful hair throughout the day.

Straight 2 wavy hair?

try braids, or just a normal messy bun with damp hair, or sea salt in a spray bottle with water. it works. good luck!

Straight 2 wavy hair?

uummm use a curling shampoo!, probably herbal essences totally twisted, I mean i have curly hair but it makes it REALLY curly! so use that, also use the scrunching gel! I think it would work. There is a mousse kind and a gel kind! so that's all i can think of! if you don't want to use Herbal Essences for some reason, then use Pantene Hydrating curls and it's styling collection(i don't know them) sorry!

I hope this helps

Straight 2 wavy hair?

My friend told me this amazing technique. Take moose and scrunch your hair the way you want it. Then take Root Pumper, and apply that to your roots and scrunch your hair up, and then hairspray it, and then blow dry it. Then add some more hairspray. They make some really light hairsprays that dont make your hair and stiff and it looks great.

How can i straigten my hair without using a hair starightner but using hair products? any ideas?!?

well i have curly hair when i straightened my hair with an iron, my hair got even curly. %26amp; i don't like using hair straightners or irons i was so desprete for straight hair before so i just did it with an iron but i do intend to use hair products so any ideas and how do you use the hair products! thanks%26lt;3

How can i straigten my hair without using a hair starightner but using hair products? any ideas?!?

You can use straightening shampoos, conditioners, and serums; but none of these will give you the same effect that a hair straightener can. Try using a diffuser on your blow dryer too.

How can i straigten my hair without using a hair starightner but using hair products? any ideas?!?

if you have really curly hair like me you never want to use a ho iron like everybody else does. I have very very curly hair and if i straighten it with an iron it looks like straw. buy a really huge round brissel brush and i good conditioner. do very small sections at a time and roll the brush underneath while you are blowing it out. it will look really nice and it wont look like straw. lol

How can i straigten my hair without using a hair starightner but using hair products? any ideas?!?

Use a permanent relaxer like Revlon or Cream of nature. A mild one will do if you have caucasian hair. You will have to have it done professionally at a good salon. It will not curl back, so if you don't like it you will have to wait for it to grow out

How can i straigten my hair without using a hair starightner but using hair products? any ideas?!?

You can use straightening shampoos and conditioners. Pantene has a whole line of Smooth %26amp; Sleek products. If you blow dry you can use a big round bush to pull out the curl.

How can i straigten my hair without using a hair starightner but using hair products? any ideas?!?

Your only option is to have it chemically straigtened. This changes the chemistry of your hair and you would have to grow the chemicals out if you wanted to return your hair to its natural state.

How can i straigten my hair without using a hair starightner but using hair products? any ideas?!?

you can use a relaxer which is also call a starightner they come in three application mild, regular, super, and that will do the job for you email be back if you like i am hair stylist

How can i straigten my hair without using a hair starightner but using hair products? any ideas?!?

hello, i know u said u didnt want to use a straightener, but i have really curly hair also and i bought this proffesional hair strightener online and it work great. i just put some *garnier sleek and shine anti frizz serum* so u dont have the ''straw look'' it really works great. and its also really easy to use. it takes me 15mins and im out the door. :) goodluck!

Temporary hair colours?

ok so im going to a party and me and my friends have decided to wear crazy colours in our hair. one of our friends mentioned that if we put wash out colours in our hair it will ruin our hair. Temporary hair colours?

Temporary hair colours?

Hair trouble can't get it to straighten back out help!?

hello i am a guy and i am having trouble with my hair. when i was younger my hair was straight and a little wavy in parts but it still looked straight. it all started back when i was in 7th grade when i grew my hair out and would put it behind my ears most if not all of the time. and then i continued that into 8th grade and when i became a freshmen i got glasses and it looked weird with my hair behind my ears and glasses on and i decided to change that after about 2 to 3 weeks.so i tried taking my hairout from behind my ears but it poofed out and i ended up putting my hair under my glasses to get it to lay flat.and tht lasted about a year and in my sophmore year into today i realized how weird it looked and i tried putting my glasses under my hair and it ended up curling where my glasses would lay and it still has that curl and poofiness of where i would put it behind my ears.i really liked my straight hair.how do i get it back?without shaving my head

Hair trouble can't get it to straighten back out help!?

use a flat iron

Hair trouble can't get it to straighten back out help!?

anthing from totally straight to a fro is ok I think

Hair trouble can't get it to straighten back out help!?

Easiest thing 2 do is use a straightener. That's what i use for my curly hair.

Hair trouble can't get it to straighten back out help!?

You should straighten it. You might not want to tell everyone though. Or, I mean, I know a lot of girls like guys with "medium/long" hair, but maybe you should think of getting it cut just a little bit.

Another think you can do is just mouse your hair. It's pronounced "moose" like the animal. You can find it at department stores and drugstores. Just make sure you don't get the kind that says Curl Revitalizer. ha ha. I hope I could help! ~isa B-)

Hair trouble can't get it to straighten back out help!?

You are going to have to use product (gel hair spray etc.) and a hot stying thing (hairdryer, straightener, curling iron) every time you wash and do your hair.

You can also try going to a hair salon and talking to a pro about how to get it cut so it will still be long and straight as well as no longer poofy and curly.

I know I hate doing my hair and it take way too much time but that it the pain about born with hair.

It is possible that after doing this for a few weeks or months your hair will begin to just do it naturally.

Perming hair to straighten it?

After years of thick, wavy, dry hair, Im trying to do something about it. Ive tried conditioning to no end to keep it soft and workable, Ive tried straightening irons (hair is too short to work on), hot combs, straightening gels and reg gels, nothing works. Nothing keeps my hair from becoming curly once my hair drys.

My last hope - reverse perming. Im going to try one of those home-perming kits and instead of curling, comb it straight and see if that works. The only problem is my hair is short (1-1.5 inches long) so I cant "pull" it straight with a comb like everyone says to do, so do you think just continuously passing a comb through my hair while the perm is in will keep it straight? I really dont want to look like a freak of nature because the perm messed my hair up even more =/ Any tips, anyone ever done this with short/thick/wavy hair like mine?

Thanks all

Perming hair to straighten it?

I would suggest you go to a hair salon and ask them for help. not saying you need to get it doen over there but ask for advice. They know all the ins and outs about hair and if you happen to catch a nice hair dresser she will glady talk to you about it...maybe you could sneak in asking the question by getting a small trim. hari dressers are always ready to start talking about things from family to politics to hair care. they are awesome!

Perming hair to straighten it?

I tried using a relaxer and my hair was somewhat short. I had it done professionally. It didn't come out as poker straight as I hoped and when my curly roots started growing in (which was about 2 weeks) it looked really funky.

Perming hair to straighten it?

Their are certain things I wouldn't do myself, one is attempt to do the brain surgery on myself. The other is putting toxic and flammable chemicals on my head. Chances are you are going to look like a freak and maybe burn your scalp. Hairdressers go to school to learn about chemicals and how they react to specific types of hair. I would not attempt to do this myself go see a professional.

Perming hair to straighten it?

Passing the comb through your hair while it is being relaxed will not straighten your hair! There is a process that the relaxer goes thru while on your head and no matter how long you comb it, if the relaxer doesn't get thru that process it will still be kinky and what not. I suggest that you allow a licensed cosmetologist to relax your hair! If memory serves me right (from attending cosmetology school), you may not get any results relaxing hair that short! You may wanna let it grow out another 2 or 3 inches! Keep in mind if you relax your hair now and it does not take, which I believe it won't, then you will have to wait at least 3 weeks to re relax it

But the choice is yours... :-)

Perming hair to straighten it?

go to a beauty salon they will have the stuff and they can do it without ruining your hair, i would have a proffessional do it.

Perming hair to straighten it?

who ever told you whatever was an idiot. there is no such thing as reverse perming. don't touch a perm get a relaxer, there is a difference. combing the relaxer isn't actually needed the relaxer will work by itself to straighten you hair and combing it can actually harm your hair. you could just take the easy way out and go to the salon.

Alternate- most people with your hair length get a texturizer. A texurizer softens the wave pattern of curly hair and work best at your length. With the texturixer you also wont have to worry about getting weird looks cause your hair is stick straight like Alf Alfa and you cant do anything with it. The texturizer will leave you with a beautiful soft curl that can be enhanced or straightened(not with a relaxer).

Want blonde hair now!?

okay so about 3 weeks ago i decided to use root die to touch up my roots(i had bleach blonde hair)and it turned a carrot orange only on the roots, and the next day was the first day of my new job so i was freaking out, my fiance was dying his hair but it was black..so i decided to die it black because i thought that would fix it. well my hair turned a midnight blue...so i finally went in and got my hair fixed to a normal color, they got it to a light brown with carmel blonde high lights..but the thing is, is that i want my hair back to the bleach blonde, i dont look good with brown hair, and i dont have money to go to a professinal, so i need to do it myself...and i was just wondering if i bleached it , it would turn out a normal blonde? because ive never had brown hair before %26amp;%26amp; then on top of that die it blonde so i have no idea what color it would turn out!

Want blonde hair now!?

OMG! do not dye your hair again! you have dies it so many times in a short amount of time it will frie your hair, and could fall out! And that is just with fye, with bleach some are your hair really might fall out, not cluumps, but enoungh. So i suggest going back to the salon in about 8-9 weeks (sorry it's so long, but you REALY want your hair to rest ! )

And tell them what you want.

GOOD LUCK!!

Want blonde hair now!?

to bleach your hair after you've already dyed it, it is a looong process. You have to bleach it once, wait a week, using deep conditioner and Shimmer Lights shampoo, and repeat every week or 2 until you get to a pale yellow. Remember, the longer you wait between bleaching, the healthier your hair will be and the less it will break off. When you get to a really pale yellow color, you can tone it (buy toner at a beauty supply store) any shade of blond you want.

Losing Hair AND Flattening~?

female, 21, losing hair, i now have very thin hair. i already tried perming it - it made the bottom part wavy and nice, but the top still turned out to be FLAT. i have very thing and fine hair. its also very soft. i have tried blow drying, it only last for 30 minutes.

PLEASE HELP - i need to make my hair look more flluffy and more like angelina jolies hair. what can i do/use????

thank you!~

Losing Hair AND Flattening~?

Sunsilk anti flat and some moose.

Losing Hair AND Flattening~?

Well maybe your shampoo or conditioner is affecting your hair, or maybe you just put too much of something in your hair, or maybe you just brush or comb it too much.

Losing Hair AND Flattening~?

celebrities always are wearing hair extensions, it you are losing your hair damaging it will make you lose more of it, like perming the chemicals are damaging to your hair.

Losing Hair AND Flattening~?

First you need to find out why you are losing yout hair. Are you eating a healthy diet? Try taking hair vitamins and biotin. If that doesn't work, you can try Rogaine, but be WARNED: once youstart Rogain, you have to use it forever or the hair that you didn't lose and the hair that you grow while you use the Rogaine will all come out at once!

A dermatologist can tell you if you should try Rogain. For the moment, you can do what I do: put your hair up and then take it down when you get to where you need to be. It won't last long, either, though.

Losing Hair AND Flattening~?

blow dry it upside down!!

Losing Hair AND Flattening~?

Better go to see a specialist at a hospital.Might be from different causes, lack of vitamines, magnesium, stress!see a medic!

Losing Hair AND Flattening~?

stop messing with it, let it sit are relax. do you want to be bald by the time your 25?

Argh i hate my hair D=?

hey i have quite long blonde hair, and i have a growing out fringe (just below my eyes) but i hate it so i push it to the sides, my hairs neither greecy or very dry and i put tons of hairspray on to keep the fringe to the sides of my hair, i also put loads of hair spray along my middle parting to keep it down, ive tried not appying hairspray and it looks like ive just woken up! so with or with out hairspray my hair looks really bad! i see in magazines women with sleek long hair that can be brushed back with their hands and still looks in shape and really nice! Anybody got any hair styles i could try out or how to keep my hair controlled without the bottles of hair spray. thaaanks!!

Argh i hate my hair D=?

don't use so much hairspray on blond hair, it makes it look dark and dull. Straighen the ends, twist the bangs and pin them from behind, and a LIGHT spritz of spray.

Argh i hate my hair D=?

I would get it cut about shoulder length or a little longer, with long layers...when you style your hair after you shower, apply some mousse evenly through hair and blow dry.. the mouse will help fly away hairs and improve body and shine. A straight iron also helps smooth split ends and frizz.

Hair Coloring in ten minutes?

Okay, so I am a medium brunette. I always color my hair at home every 6 weeks . I bought a loreal briliant brunettes box that says it lightens brown hair 3 shades and will make my hair a dark blonde. Has anyone ever used this before? I am scared to use it and do not want orange or copper colored hair. UGH....(smile)

Also, I was thinking of just puting it on sections of my hair like highlights . I know I can easily cover up the mess with a brown color afterwards. Any suggestions. ?? Thank you so so much!!

Hair Coloring in ten minutes?

cut a little piece of your hair just a tiny strand and put it on a plate. put the dye on the strand of hair and wait to see if it turns colors. I do it everytime b4 i dye my hair.

Can hair change color?

I Have a question, I used to have dark brown hair but I dyed it blue black so I wanted to dye it dark brown again so I was recommended to let the black color grow out. The thing is that I've noticed that my hair isn't growing back brown, it is more like dark blonde and redish light brown... is this like normal after one dyes its hair too dark? will it grow back to brown again? or is my hair just changing colors?? I dont apply anything on my hair and I am not out in the sun much because I cant tolerate the heat, so I guess its not bleaching from the sun

Can hair change color?

Our hair changes shades all the time through out our lives. I think it's cool. So enjoy the new YOU!

Can hair change color?

I was born with almost clear blonde hair and as I aged when I hit about 13 my hair turned mousey brown. I dye it dark red so I got no idea what colour it naturallly is for the past 5 years. It does change naturally. Other than to grey.

It may be that the contrast between the blue black hair is making your real hair colour appear lighter and redder

Hair Questions For My Sista's?

I have a 4 (almost 5) year old daughter.

Just my luck that she inherited her fathers hair genes.

Im wondering if 5 years old is too your to perm her hair.

I got my first perm at like 6 or 7, because my hair was long and thick like rudy's on the cosby's!!

She has pretty long hair and I dont know how to press or warm comb her hair, and im afraid of burning it out.

Should I jus try pressing (warm combing) it or give her a mild perm (relaxer)

How old were you when you needed to get a perm.

Hair Questions For My Sista's?

no chemicals!!!! her pores in the scalp are still quite sensitive/open....i would not do a chemical...i have seen so many tragedies....once u start with the chemicals....u must continue

~take her to a professional to get it hot combed

~be mindful that you are altering her hair structure / chemistry of the follicles the moment u hit it with a relaxer.....and if this is her first relaxer...u can really do some damage....u might not even know how her hair will fare thru the application.....everyone's hair is different.... i wouldn't do it.

~buy a hot comb...one with a plug that has to be PLUGGED IN to a socket.....do not fall for the ones that u need to heat yourself...you will not be able to control the heat/temperature and can burn her accidentally.

~invest in a flat iron~with ceramic plates to "go over" the straightened hair once it has been hot combed for ongoing maintenance

Plz be careful....my goddaughter is almost bald because of a relative who "had it up to here with her thick hair". and they went rushing into a relaxer.....now she just about has none....so what do they do? they cover up the boo-boo with fake hair/braids that are too tight....and essentially are pulling out her new growth...

Hair Questions For My Sista's?

no dont perm her hair she's too young just do the old fashion way and use oil and a straightening comb that will make her hair grow better and healthier

Hair Questions For My Sista's?

Children get perms as young as four. If she has long hair and it's not coarse don't ruin her hair with a perm. I had thick coarse hair that could break a comb and my mother finnaly put me out of my misery when i was 12. And now im 13. Don't press her hair alot either or you will damage it

Hair Questions For My Sista's?

I have three boys (middle one is five) so I don't know what you are going through but I think you should wait on the perm and just warm comb her hair. I am 27 and I think I was about 7 when I got my first relaxer. My sister was also seven (she is twenty one) and I remember how long her hair was before the perm. I am not sure the reason and if it was because of her age or not but I remember that the perm did damage her hair and you should wait with your daughter.

Hair Questions For My Sista's?

You can perm at a young age. They have perms you can buy now for kids but just to be on the safe side I would take her to a shop for the first time so they can teach you the do's and don't. Plus pressing sucks. You know you'll burn that girl. (just our mom's did us. I know. but somethings don't need to be passed down.)

Hair Questions For My Sista's?

well i had my 1st perm when i was about 7 but i think that 5 is a little early . if her hair is too hard to manage without the perm than use a kiddie perm with no lye or chemicals.

you can buy it in CVS, Rite Aid..etc..

Hair coloring help. Pics included.?

I'm definately ready for a change in hair color and I kind of want something drastic. So I've been thinking about the two-tone hairstyle. But I don't know what colors to do as I'm not too sure blonde will look right on me as the main color. So I was thinking maybe blonde underneath? Here's my most recent picture.

http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p232/...

My hair is a little past the top of my shoulders now.

I was also thinking about something like this.

http://i49.photobucket.com/albums/f253/a...

but with the streaks underneath my hair more so they're not AS noticable because I work in an office environment. They're not too strict on hair but I don't want to push it. So should I go with the two-tone(dark on top, light on bottom) or something like the pic? Any other pics and ideas are greatly appreciated! Thanks a bunch!

What's wrong with the hair you have now??

Hair coloring help. Pics included.?

You posted this before...? Anyway, I like your hair color, if you insist, then go with red hair.

Hair coloring help. Pics included.?

Hi! YOu are very pretty!

I suggest combining gold and light browns, a little darker thatn a dirty blonde. It will bring out your skin color and brighten you up! I suggest blending the two so the highlights won't be so visible and standing out. Heres some pics what i kind of suggest:

Thats kinda what i mean except a little darker!

But in my opinion i think you should stay with the color you have now!!

But do what you feels right!

Hair loss in the shower?

I am a 19 yr old guy with short hair and today in the shower lost upto 20 hairs. I was washing my hair after a gap of 4-5 days and my hair style is such that i do not comb or brush at all. So could this be the normal amount of daily hair loss or is it something to worry about ?!?

Hair loss in the shower?

It's normal because we lose tons of hair each day (I can't remember the exact amount), so don't worry.

Hair loss in the shower?

you probably just need to take some vitamins.

Hair loss in the shower?

It;s very normal :]... everyone loses up to 1,000 hairs a day! So dont worry!

Hair loss in the shower?

it's probably just the cumulative hair loss after five days

to be safe, start taking zinc and vitamin A to strengthen your hair =) or a daily multivitamin

I would love to help you!

TWO PONY HALF-UP HAIR:

1. Brush hair, with no parting anywhere on your head, to make sure you can slide your fingers through any area there.

2. part your hair on either the left or right side and rebrush your hair.

3. Then grab a section on either side of your head. Make sure you dont take all of your hair from the side.

4. Brush that little "pony tail" and twist it around andm put it back. Then put a rubber band around the pony to make sure it stays.

5. do steps 3-4 to the other side.

6. grab a little section of hair (flyaways) and smooth it out by constant (not rubbing but patting-ish and wiping motions) then brush all your hair out (keep the pony tails in) and make it silky smooth. (gel or moose might be nessisary)

PIGTAIL PONY LOOP TWIST:

1. part your hair in the back and front (side part looks the best)

*zig-zag parts are cool

*curvy parts are nice

* straight parts are also good

2. then put each side into a loose pigtail (loose is NOT optional)

3. then grab one pigtail and spilt it ABOVE the ponytail holder and slip the pigtail through that hole. Go from the front to the back.

4.Pull tight (but not too tight, it may get VERY bumpy then)

5. do steps 3-4 to the other side.

6. brush out each pigtail softly and flaunt your beauty to everyone you know.... or go to sleep in it to keep your hair out of your face.

(you can also do the same thing with one pony)

ONE PONY TWISTER:

1. brush hair into a not perfectly neat ponytail.

2. spilt pny above the hair thing and slip pony through it.

3. Pull tight, or not two tight.

CUTE NORMAL PONY:

1. Put your hair into a normal ponytail.

2. get a thick ribbon from the store and put it around your head like a head band. Tie it in the back and bobbypin the ribbon in place.

3. if you want to, a ribbon tied around your pony tail also looks good. (choose between a cutsie bow or a hang down robbon)

ACESSORIES YOU MAY WANT TO CHECK OUT:

SOME HELP? HAIR HELP???? Help?

yours sounds like mine. I'd use hotcurlers, they make your hair not frizzy and dead, but full of life.

Wash your hair in the morning, and put it up the way you like it, and use mousse or gel while damp.

SOME HELP? HAIR HELP???? Help?

I think curly wild hair just in a ponytail is cute.... It looks wildishly stylish....

SOME HELP? HAIR HELP???? Help?

Can't really help from personal experience - I have straight hair!

Having said that

1) Go to a stylist and ask them to show you how to do a French Twist - I love this %26amp; it works for any type of hair.

2) I braid my straight hair when wet to give it soft curls! %26lt;giggle!%26gt;

SOME HELP? HAIR HELP???? Help?

My daughter's hair is naturally curly, and frizzy or poofy if it gets too dried out. So what I do is after her shower, (using good shampoo and deep therapy conditioner), I put in a leave in conditioning creme or spray in conditioner - and comb it through really well. I then take it and put it up into a ponytail up high at the crown of her head. Then I take the "tail" and wrap it around the base of the ponytail to make a bun and just tuck the end in and secure it with a bobbie pin. In the morning she takes the bun down and just finger combs it and it is actually still a little damp from being wrapped so tight and the curls are now just loose waves and it looks really smooth and her hair smells fresh and clean!

SOME HELP? HAIR HELP???? Help?

well... i have the same type of hair as you and... i know it can be a great struggle to do something with it to make it look cute and easy to do so..

here is what i do: a lot of the time i don't like my hair because it can be a messy curl instead of cute and trendy curl so i wet my hair down and use gel and curl cream or volume cream this makes your hair look cute and trendy but easy to do at the same time

hope you like the advice

SOME HELP? HAIR HELP???? Help?

Listen to a person who has naturally curly hair also, first natural curls are always dry. When its humid out there are two products that are my lifesaver for humidity. Rusk wired and Paul Mitchell heat seal, both of them are humidity resistant products and they work EXCELLENT!! With the wired you can cocktail that with anything mousse, gel, creme and it still works the same. If your hair is really wild and you want to calm down some of the curl use a smoothing shampoo and conditioner. Redken smooth down is good, also Biolage smoothing shampoo and conditioner is good too. As with a messy bun...don't make it too tight loose is better. Do you put it in a pony and then into a bun, try using bobby pins. Hope this helps

I am a female with long light brown straight hair and was wondering if anyone knows a Reasonably price hair salon in Toronto. I want to get a hair cut and highlights. I don't want to pay a lot but I want a great hair cut. I hope there is a place out there that doesn't charge an arm and a leg for a great hair cut. Also, have tried the hair schools and was not happy with the results. Any suggestions?

My black hair dye won't come out?

Well, I dyed my hair in June 2007, eight months ago, and my semi-permanent black hair-dye hasn't washed out. I went through a craze-faze of washing my hair twice a day and using the strongest, nastiest shampoos to make it come out. My natural hair is a very light shade of honey-blonde, and my friends say maybe because my hair is so light it absorbed it bad-assly. My mother went to a hair-salon about five months ago, and asked what was to be done. She said to not try and bleach/dye my hair, to not strip of the dye or apply any chemical. She said to wash it out, and go out in the sun. But, I followed her instructions and it hasn't lightened in the slightest, only my roots are visable now. I really do need to get rid of it, because I'm moving schools and they have a strict NO DYE, NO PIERCINGS AND NO BOYS policy. I am considering having it stripped out, but I seriously want to know if it does immense damage?

My black hair dye won't come out?

Black semi-permanent dye is effectively a permanent dye. I dyed my hair black last year and my hair didn't return to its natural colour until I'd cut all the dyed hair off.

It's not going to come out completely no matter how much you try stripping it with strong shampoos, and in fact you'll only damage your hair by constantly subjecting it to such harsh treatment.

I suppose you could go to the hairdresser and see if they can strip your hair and dye it back to a colour close to your natural one, so regrowth isn't so obvious. Your hair condition won't be great, but it's either that or cut it off and wait for it to regrow.

My black hair dye won't come out?

Try head and shoulders shampoo, i have heard that it helps to strip the colour from hair.

My black hair dye won't come out?

well if you want to try it I know that if you buy a home perm that will strip it out ???

you just put the stuff on dont actually put the rollers in..

and then get it cut really short to help it renew its strength.

By the way that school sounds scary

My black hair dye won't come out?

Even if you strip it, you may still have to color it afterwards.

My black hair dye won't come out?

Try a shampoo called Metallex. It's just like a strong shampoo. Try it alone or with developer. Follow the directions carefully. Good luck!

My black hair dye won't come out?

Go buy color oops at your local rite aid or longs drugs. It will strip the color out with out damaging you hair! i used to 3 times in like a week and didnt damage my hair at all!

My black hair dye won't come out?

I dyed my hair black in August 06 and kept dying it black till May 07 when i decided to go bk to my natural colour brown.

My hairdresser Bleached my hair, then after she had bleached it, she put a brown dye over it.

It didn't get very dry and i just made sure it left condtioner in everyday for a week and it was fine.

Do you like your hair black, cuz if you do, the school doesnt have to know youve dyed it.

Hair Dye Allergy Test Question?

I was planning to dye my hair a couple of months ago. I did the allergy test and waited 48 hours and then never colored my hair. Should I redo the test since it has been a few months? Also, at what temperature should you keep hair dye? Our house has been under construction and during the day the house is 96 degrees and at night the house is around 75 degrees. I've been keeping the hair dye in the closet so not sure if the temp has gone up and down with the hair dye in the box. Thanks!

Hair Dye Allergy Test Question?

Did you already mix the product? If so its not any good (oxidation). The heat shouldn't be a problem, and if it is the same color you tested with before you do not need to do it again, if you switch colors you might want to do another test, but chances are you will be fine if you were the first time! good luck and be careful.

Hair Dye Allergy Test Question?

yes redo the test i guess something went wrong. of you just didnt use enough to make any effect. do it again. hair dye doesnt really matter whaat temperature its at if its one of the mix in ones that wasnt already mixed in. but any sort of cosmetic product or hair product shouldnt be kept at like 100 degrees

good luck!

best answer me!

Hair Dye Allergy Test Question?

well I did the test once a couple years ago and then ever since I havent done it....but it says on the box how hot it can be stored....

Flat hair!?

I have naturally straight hair that is VERY thin. I always have to blow dry my hair to poof it up a little and then I go over it with a hair straightner on very low heat to get out the kinks the hair dryer created.

I can never wear my hair completly down because it's so flat! Before i blow dry my hair I use sunsilk antiflat on the roots but it doesn't seem to help. Shampoos don't really help either and I use a very light conditioner on my ends.

What can I do to my hair to make it fuller on the top? I want to be able to wear my hair completly down without worrying about it being flat!

Thanks so much!

Flat hair!?

I would buy any product made my Sexy Hair. There is a great product called Big Sexy Hair and it works wonders on all hair types. I would look for it on Amazon.com or Ebay.com to get the best price. Or you can go to there website:

http://www.sexyhair.com/

Flat hair!?

Mousse

Flat hair!?

blow dry UPSIDE DOWN while using volumizing moouse

Flat hair!?

first you will want to get a cut with a lot of layers. not just long layers but layers all over. layers help give your hair a lot more volume plus they will add some intrest to your hair. then shampoo with a dandruff shampoo. even if you dont have dandruff, there is something in dandruff shampoo that makes your hair very volumnous.. it works wonders for my friend with very very flat hair. then you may want to try a volumizing mouse. then when you blow dry blow dry with your hair upside down. this give SOO MUCH volume!!!!. then when you want to touch up, just straighten the top layer of your hair so it looks polished but you wont lose the volume from the blowdrying

i hope that i helped

good luck!!

Beauty/Hair questions?

I have a couple of Beauty Questions

1. Is there any liquid foundation that makes your skin look somewhat flawless. I don't want it to look like I have on a ton of make-up though b/c I am only 14. I need a reliable brand please.

2. Are there any good hair straighteners out there that have a reasonable price?

3. I have tried Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Shampoo and Conditioner and Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Shampoo and Conditioner and neither really made my hair straighter. Are there any shampoos out there that do this? I don't want it to make my hair greasy though.

4.What is a good heat protecting spray, gel, or serum. One product I tried was Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine serum and that made my har look greasy. I also tried something my hair stylist gave me and it smelled good but once I straightened my hair, my hair stunk.I need something that smells good even after you straighten your hair + I don't want to use something that makes my hair sizzle when I straighten i

Beauty/Hair questions?

I don't use liqid foundation because I don't need heavy coverage, but I do use stick foundation on cheeks, nose and chin to cover up trouble spots. I am currnetly using Bobbi Brown stick foundation and it is working for me.

As far as serum goes I like John Frieda's Hair serum becasue it smooths frizz and adds a brilliant shine.

Personally, I don't know much about straightening shampoos, but I don't think they are effective for thick frizzy hair, sice I tried KMS brand.

Beauty/Hair questions?

The best beauty tip you will ever recieve:

Your curly hair is probably way prettier when its wavy or curly. And don't put that stuff on your face until you are like 60 and have to.

Beauty/Hair questions?

well first for the makeup try M.A.C it works really good and they help you match up your skin color

second, far as hair straighter get a relaxer or blow dry your hair in small sections by applying hair wax , this helps the hair to stay straight, keep the frizz out, good on heat and it molds your hair in what ever style that you are doing after you have done that wrap your hair up around in a circle and tie it up with a scarf so it can stay fresh.

Beauty/Hair questions?

1. If u have nice skin already and ur young u don't need makeup enjoy it while ur young cause when u get older then u really may need makeup to cover up crows feet and wrinkles!

But if u want to try those mineral makeups they're better for skin try bare essentials,i.d. go to sephora's. Ther's also netrogena makeup go to their website and they have a custom tool to help u find the right product. You just have to do a little research ya know!

2.Try the Andis hair straigtners they're ceramic and tormaline and they make ur hair silky straight and they range from $20-50 dollars go to their website or walmart and CVS they have them.

Beauty/Hair questions?

foundation is so bad for your skin, I used to use foundation and my skin would always break out and once I stopped using it My skin looked better than ever. anyone younger than 30 shouldnt cover up there young good skin. anyways.. any matrix hair product is the way to go. you can only find them in salons. They have anti friz gel to put on before blowdrying to protect and they also have a gold heat spray to protect before straightining. last, Id suggest lookin online for a straightner deal, but make sure its real ceramic or else it can damage hair

Beauty/Hair questions?

I'm 14 Too :).

1. This is not a foundation but it's a tinted moisturiser. I've used it before and it makes your skin have a very natural and flawless look.

If you are from America (i'm from uk) then you might not be able to find this.

http://www.boots.com/shop/product_detail...

2. The hair straighteners I use are Ghd and they are really reliable although they are quite expensive ranging from around 鎷?0-鎷?00. FHI is also a good make. If you are from America this link may not be so helpful though :

http://www.saloneasy.com/straighteners/f...

3. How about Sunsilk straightening shampoo and conditioner. It sort of worked for me but I think it only works on certain Hairtypes. You should give it a try though.

4. Tresemme Heat defense styling spray. It works great for me.

Is biotin good for hair growth?

im about to try it, but i just want to know everyones opinion on it. somebody says that it helps grow your hair, then somebody else says it doesnt really grow you hair, it just makes it stronger %26amp; healthier so your hair will grow faster. my hair is so slow to grow, any other hair tips for growing hair?

2 more questions

... is putting your hair in a tight pony tail or bun help growth too? or if i leave it down more often, will that help?

.. will not washing your hair help growth too? someone said justwash it once a week, but i cant do that cuz my hair gets greasy easily %26amp; cant help but wash it cuz it feels disgusting

Is biotin good for hair growth?

I don't think keeping your hair in a pony tail is good for your hair...my stylist really hates it when I come in his shop with my hair in a pony tail...He always tells me if I want to wear my hair back or up to use a clip and not pony tail holders ....and he has never said anything about wearing it like that would speed or help the growth....This information I am giving you also tells you what vitamins are good for your hair. I know it is alot of reading but it really is good information .....

I am in the middle of letting my bangs grow out and they are past my nose now ..i just try and style my hair with the side bang look but it is frustrating waiting on them to grow out ....I found a site that had some good information on growing your hair I hope it is helpful for you ...

Unfortunately many people are not aware of the fact that while hair can be extraordinarily resilient, once it has emerged from your scalp is has no facility for renewing itself. It is considered to be dead protein.

The average person has around 100,000 strands of hair on their head and the average rate of growth is a mere one-half of an inch per month.

By the time the ends of your hair actually grow down to your shoulders, they are approximately two years old.

Think about it. Two years is a long time for hair to be subjected to the daily wear and tear of the environment, washing, drying, brushing, combing and any chemical processing. Just imagine what a piece of silk or fine fabric would look like after 2 years of constant handling.

Even if you take the best care of your hair possible, your hair still goes through a natural aging process which can also impact the growing cycle of your hair.

Maximizing Your Growth Cycle

Gorgeous Long Hair

HB.com- All Rights Reserved.

The right vitamins and minerals play a major role in keeping your hair healthy. Any nutritional deficiencies can lead to thinning hair or even total baldness.

It is a well known fact that an under active thyroid can result in frizzy or brittle hair while an overactive thyroid turn hair greasy and limp.

The bottom line to this thread is that your hair ultimately reflects the overall condition of your body. If your body is healthy and well nourished, your hair will be your shining glory.

If you are having any health problems or suffering from any nutritional deficiencies, your hair may stop growing or show damage.

If your body is in good health, you can maximize your genetic growth cycle through taking the proper blend of amino acids and B-vitamins.

It is also important to include B-6, biotin, Inositol and folic acid in the supplemental program. It has been found that certain minerals including magnesium, sulfur, silica and zinc are also very important toward maintaining healthy hair.

Beta-carotene is also essential to hair growth. This is because it is converted to vitamin A as the body needs it, helps maintain normal growth and bone development, protective sheathing around nerve fibers, as well as promoting healthy skin, hair and nails.

Beta-carotene is found in green and yellow vegetables and fruits.

Protein Is Important

Gorgeous Long Hair

HB.com- All Rights Reserved.

Since hair is protein, a diet that is too low in protein may cause some thinning in hair or a retardation in the growth cycle. The converse is true, If you eat a protein-rich diet it will often result in improved hair growth.

Some nutritional experts suggest the dietary utilization of calves liver, brewer's yeast, wheat germ and a daily dose of two tablespoons of granulated lecithin to maximize hair growth, strength and beauty.

Other good food sources for protein include fish, eggs, beans and yogurt. Soy protein has also been found to be helpful in stimulating hair growth.

One study of the results of soy on the hair found that it not only strengthened the hair but caused it to grow. A great source of soy is tofu.

Growth Blockers

Excessive stress and some medications are conclusively known to retard hair growth. If you have a medical condition and your physician has prescribed medications it is imperative that you follow your doctor's orders regardless of the impact to your hair,

Warning: Always consult your doctor BEFORE you undertake any new type of vitamin, mineral program or herbal program of any type to make sure it does not interfere with any medical treatment you may currently be on.

However, if you are under severe stress it is helpful to reduce the stress as much as possible. Consider meditation or relaxation as a way to cut back on any major stress in your life. Your hair will love your for it.

Another secret hair helper is rest and sleep. It has been discovered that to grow faster, hair needs an adequate amount of sleep (7-9 hours are suggested).

Hair Growing Supplements

Eat right, exercise, reduce stress, rest, gets lots of sleep and your are well on your way to maximizing your hair growth potential.

You can either take a good supplement that contains the necessary vitamins and minerals or you can make up your own formula.

I have personally had some long term success (at least for me) with the HairTopia vitamins that are specifically designed to assist the body with the maximum hair growth building blocks.

For more details check out Jane Bullock's review of the Hairtopia Vitamins and also get the facts on what the vitamins consist of.

While eating the proper foods that contain all the necessary vitamins and minerals will help, it is a lot more difficult to guarantee that you will get all the vitamins and minerals you need from the foods you eat.

List of Supplements

In addition to making lifestyle changes, taking the following supplements every day can boost hair growth for many people:

* Vitamin B-complex - 50 mg. of the major B-vitamins (including folate, biotin and inositol)

* Vitamin B-6 - 50 mg. of vitamin B-6

* Vitamin C with bioflavonoids - one to two grams daily

* Vitamin E - 400 to 800 IU daily

* Beta-Carotene - 10,000 to 15,000 IU of beta-carotene daily

* One recommended daily dose of magnesium, sulfur, zinc

* Silica (horsetail) - 300 mg. daily

* Nettle - 250 mg. three times daily

* Flaxseed oil - one tbsp daily or one tablet

* Beta-Carotene - 10,000 to 15,000 IU of beta-carotene daily

Hair Growing Tips

Some hair loss experts have discovered that people have excellent hair growing results by following the Zone Diet, which is low in fat. Many other hair care experts recommend the Zone Diet as very helpful for hair care concerns.

Here are some other hair growing tips:

1. Eliminate or cut back on smoking, caffeine and carbonated sodas which weaken the body and block maximum hair growing potential.

2. Eat a healthy diet. Avoid foods that are high in sugar or fat.

3. Treat your hair like a piece of fine old lace. Treat it carefully avoiding any unnecessary brushing, combing or handling.

4. Avoid use of hot water, hot blow dryers or other hair care tools that may stress the hair.

5. Have a weekly scalp massage to provide stimulation to the hair follicles.

6. Do a series of ongoing hot oil treatments to protect the hair's shaft.

7. Have regular trims to eliminate split ends and allow the hair to look and feel healthier.

8. Get plenty of rest and sleep to allow your body to grow hair.

Hair Growing Tips

The answer to "instant hair growth" is that there isn't any. There is no magic bullet. If you want to go from a short Bob to long flowing locks instantly than you do have some options, but depending on a variety of factors, they may be limited. Your best bet for overnight long hair is to consider hair extensions, clip on ponytails or long wigs.

Good Luck ~~

Is biotin good for hair growth?

tight pony tail will may right where the pony tail holder is really weak. i wash my hair twice a week (naturally dry so doesnt get greasy) if your hair gets greasy easily keep washing your hair. but if you can go a day or two without totally can. and for biotin i havent used it but there is a girl i know who used it when i was in cosmetology school who didnt like her haircut. it seemed like it worked. i used Nioxin pills which made hair grow fast, nails grow more and skin more radiant. hope it helped

Is biotin good for hair growth?

To my knowledge, it does a great job for both hair and nails. In my opinion, the best source for biotin in in brewer's yeast. It can be purchased in health food and nutritiion store, but can be expensive.

Other goods sources are egg yolks, grains, fish, nuts, beans, meat and dairy products.

Biotin is absorbed in the small intestine and passed through urine. Does really stay within your system long, so eat regularly.

Hair Transplant Problem - NEED ANSWERS FAST!!?

I've been losing my hair since I was about 13.

So, I recently got a hair transplant. The Dr. said he moved hair from my back onto my head.

But, I don 't see any missing hair in the forest that is my back. In addition the transplanted hair on my head is so curly that friends have been taunting me by calling me "Chia Pet."

Oh, one last thing, the Dr. told me that, for safety reasons, he had to shave my pubes for the procedure.

Something doesn't sound right. Has this ever happened to you?

Hair Transplant Problem - NEED ANSWERS FAST!!?

pubic hair is shaved for any medical procedure...even a routine dental filling...everyone knows this. what is your issue here? you wanted hair and now you have it. true, it may be a bit knappy, but it's better than that cue ball look you were sporting. as for the back hair...EVERYONE...EXCEPT YOU (AGAIN) knows that back hair grows extremely fast under anesthesia. you are ok...use some mouse on that nasty knappy head ...ok???

Hair and humidity?

How can I keep my hair staying straight throughout the day? Whenever I do my hair in the morning w/ the flat iron, it's fine. When I go outside especially living in the south, the heat is around 98 degrees or so. and my hair gets weird flippy kinks and tries to curl. I've used Herbal Essensces humidity defying gel and it hasn't helped a bit.

Anyone have suggestions or anything I can do to keep my hair looking straight and nice? I don't know how other women do it. And yes, my hair is naturally straight.

Hair and humidity?

It's all about the products. There are a ton at salons or salon product selling stores that will help you. The choices are endless really. You might need to try several before you find the perfect match for your hair. I suggest buying smallest bottles until you find "the right one"

Hair and humidity?

I have read that the CHI flat irons do a great job keeping hair straight all day - they are pricey though. I would also suggest using salon quality product - like Bed Head. It is worth the $$

Hair and humidity?

Get an anti humidity hairspray by Aussie. It's the best.

But if your hair is naturally straight, why do you use a flat iron?

Hair and humidity?

Garnier Fructis anti-frizz serum works pretty well =)

Hair and humidity?

a flat iron is dangerous for your hair. perhaps if you brush it in all directions it will have a nice natural look, and it wont be destroyed.moreover, curly hair is lovely . accept the condition of your hair. let the season of humidity pass without harm, then in the dry season you can have it straight. all chemicals do harm more than good. avoid them.

Hair crisis!!! PLease heLp! I need adviCE!?

Hi

I am 14

and I'm entering highschool and I am tired of my boring straight brown long hair.

I still want it long, but i want to do something different to it.

I was gonna get layers and side bangs but my friend said that the layers would make my hair look shorter, even if the longest layer was as long as my hair is now. i don't want my hair to look shorter.

and my brother and his friend said that i wouldn't look good with side bangs becuase my head is to small.

so now i don't know what to do.

I don't want to cut ANY length off my hair

but i want to do something different to it

i mean, i was willing to cut part of the length off for layers, but i still want my hair to be as long as it is now.

can you give me advice as to what i should do with my hair?

i want a new style for highschool

thanks in advance

Hair crisis!!! PLease heLp! I need adviCE!?

okay for one all that layers will do to your hair will make it LOOK thicker and add more of a volumed look to it. i just got through with my first year of high school so i've already been through this. lol. i think that fringed bangs would be great. you can either pull off cute or sexy even.

plus i dont know how you feel about dying you hair but you could do that also. like maybe go for a reddish brown or a more dark blonde.

Hair crisis!!! PLease heLp! I need adviCE!?

curls are sexy

Hair crisis!!! PLease heLp! I need adviCE!?

I have weensy head, too. I wear my hair with a LOT of volume, and bangs/fringe help disguise a narrow temple and small forehead. My doc was shocked when he mesured my head circumference. My hair is a great disguise....

Hair crisis!!! PLease heLp! I need adviCE!?

you should get some highlights. maybe a dirty blond color or caramel color.

Hair crisis!!! PLease heLp! I need adviCE!?

Check out this website...http://www.thehairstyler.com/

I just used this site to help me decide on a hairstyle...i had really long hair, and wanted a cooler summer cut and this really helped me out. You can totally play around and see what will look good.

If you do not want to check out this site, here is something to consider. Is your hair thin? If you cut your hair into layers with the shortest layer starting around your cheekbones, it will make your hair look fuller and thicker. Also, if your shortest layer is around your cheeks, you will still be able to pull it back into a barrette for those bad hair days or a sleek ponytail. Good luck starting high school.

Hair crisis!!! PLease heLp! I need adviCE!?

I recommend you this hairstyle. You can do the cut as long as you want to. The bangs will look good on your small head.

http://www.beautyriot.com/stuff/images/a...

Hair crisis!!! PLease heLp! I need adviCE!?

I would suggest cutting very long subtle layers into your hair while still keeping the length. Maybe to change it up a bit you could try having it cut a little shorter in the back and have it angled down longer toward your face. (subtly is the key)

Hair crisis!!! PLease heLp! I need adviCE!?

OMG! i just did the whole layers look without losing any length.

trust me.... it turns out AMAZING!!!

if you have thick hair then it really takes about 290384234 pounds off your head.

and side bangs... im not too sure they'd look good with layers.

good luck!

Hair crisis!!! PLease heLp! I need adviCE!?

I don't personally think it makes your hair look shorter. However, It depends on how drastic your layers are. If you don't want your hair to look short, go with like a choppy look and don't get drastic layers.

I like when hair comes all to a point in the middle of your back.

Hope I helped and good luck!

Hair Styles for Curly Hair?

I start school on the twenty-fifth. The day before, I'm getting my hair done. Right now it's curly and it goes about to mid-back. It get's frizzy if I leave it down, so most of the time I keep it up in a pony-tail and put some products in it. But it's really so annoying to have everyone be able to do so much more with their hair. So how about some style suggestions? There's got to be a way to do something more with my hair. Does anyone know of a style? If you have links to some styles for my kind of hair, that'd be great. Thank you. :D

Hair Styles for Curly Hair?

really you should talk to your stylist, and make sure you take pictures. One thin i would advise though is consider how much time you are use to while achieving your style now. are you ready to put more time into a new style especially before school starts? are you going to have enough time to master your style?? i seen a lot of comments about products, that is great news, one suggestion use professional products, curly hair has a lot of dimension and can get dull quickly because of the way it reflects light, careful with store bought items they can cause a lot of build up. please don't use lotion for the same reason! try a shine product, also one of my favorite products for curly hair is ringlets by redken, this product helps achieve awesome uniform curls in curly hair! good luck

To help with the frizzies, shampoo your hair at night apply mousse, pull up into ponytail on top of head, twist into bun, let down in the morning.

For styles you could try blow drying your hair straight using a vent brush to pull straight as you dry, don't do this everyday, the stress of pulling straight with heat can damage your hair.

Hair Styles for Curly Hair?

wet it then try mousse, it will keep your hair shiny and keep it from frizzing as well. My friend has the same problem, she uses mousse.

Try some long layers underneath to thin out your hair, you can still put it in a pony but do stuff with it also.

Hair Styles for Curly Hair?

First, when you shower, use Pantene Smooth and Sleek, or the straight hair shampoo. Then, dry your hair with a proffesional dryer, using a round brush to make it somewhat straight. Then, use a hair straightner. Pref. Sedu at folica.com Also when your hair is wet use John Frieda Frizz-Ease.

Hair Styles for Curly Hair?

put a dab of lotion (i like good smellin) rub it in ur hands and then threw ur hair don't put to much or it will b greasy

Hair Styles for Curly Hair?

well good luck. curly hair is awsome. askwhen you get it done they have to know

Hair styles?

My hair is dark blonde, medium length and naturally wavy. I usually either a. curl it, or b. straighten it. It looks horrible just leaving it naturally wavy, even with gel or moose... but im sick of having either down curly hair, or pulled up curly hair or down straight hair or pulled up straight hair.. arg.. i need change, but i dont want to cut or dye...help?

Hair styles?

Get it perminately straightened at a salon. This way you have less fuss with it when you want it straight. You can just comb and go. You also have so many more choices. If you want to flip or feather it you can with just a little curl. Or if you want to go all out and curl it all you can. It will take loads of time of doing you hair and give you many more choices. If you decide to grow it out the longer it gets the less it will be wavy because of the weight of the hair. That is what I did.

Hair styles?

Since you have wavy hair, its not hard to straighten without a flatiron. Use Herbal Ecensse dangerously straight shampoo and conditioner, and mousse when you get out of the shower, or tresseme thermal creations straightening gel. Then when you blow dry it, use a round brush and brush it with thet brush INSIDE THE HAIR rotating in, that helps straighten it too,

Hope this helps for you....it workes for me!!!!

Hair styles?

put your hair half up and down and you leave it wavy or do your usually curl. You can also try buying a curling iron waver that make really preety waves in your hair. you can put your hair in a classic bun but design the bun your own way. its great for the summer. you can also grab strands of hair and clip them. you can also pull your hair cack in a cute headband.

Hair styles?

Hey there, I am a Cosmetologist, and it does sound like you are having some trouble. First off, how long has it been since your hair has been cut? Or how long has it been trimmed? That may be your first source, for you to get your hair, to shape the way it should. You could be over starightening it as well. Over straightening can cause the foluculs (the tops of the hair line) to break off, and also will cause damage to the ends of your hair, cause your hair to have split ends. To wear your hair straight once in a while, is ok, but to do it constantly, then you have a problem. The hair products that you are using may be the problem also.. If you have been using the same products all the time, your hair can get used to the products, and start to carry a differnt reaction.. If you have any more questions please write me back.. Good Luck!

Suggestions for overnight hair treatments (homemade or store-bought) to maintain/enhance shine, soft

First I'll give you the background info on my hair.

I have pretty much straight hair in good condition except for a couple of split ends. I have really thick, gorgeous hair that is about three inches below my collarbone, and it's the envy of everyone I know. It's layered a little bit mostly in the front with sideswept bangs. I don't have many complaints about my hair; in fact, it looks healthy, shiny, and fantastic (not to brag). This makes me want to preserve the fantabulousity of my hair. I use really high-quality products like Frederick Fekkai, Redken, etc. I blowdry my hair straight with a round brush only once or twice a week, using styling products like shine serum, blow-dry lotion, creams, and occasionally a light and moisturizing gel.

Now that you're well-informed, I'll pose my question. I'm interested in an overnight treatment that I could use once or a few times a week. I'm up for suggestions on homemade treatments (preferably) or store-bought ones to enhance my hair.

Suggestions for overnight hair treatments (homemade or store-bought) to maintain/enhance shine, softness, etc.

Gently heat up some olive oil, (be careful, not too hot!) and apply it with cotton pads to the scalp. Then work it into the rest of the hair; and put it up in a plastic cap to work for either 20 minutes or so; or even overnight. Then, shampoo regularly next morning.

Suggestions for overnight hair treatments (homemade or store-bought) to maintain/enhance shine, softness, etc.

I use RPR brand wash out treatment but i leave it in all day at work (put my hair in a bun) then wash it out the next morning. It works wonders. Try it. This can be done with any treatment once a week and you will notice the differance.

Which helps your hair grow more, getting perms or braids with weave in your hair?

So tell me what yall thing, am I right?

Which helps your hair grow more, getting perms or braids with weave in your hair?

Get your hair braided. See if your mother can find someone around the way that can braid hair for cheap. Once you get your hair braided it can last for about 2-3 months. You should see growth by time you take out your braids. Then get your hair braided again. This is what I do for some of my clients who wants to grow out their hair. After about a year trust me you would have some good growth.

Which helps your hair grow more, getting perms or braids with weave in your hair?

i thik you should just let it grow on its own, because its free, and better for your hair

If hair is dead then why will the hair on your arm know when to stop growing to match the length of

Shave the hair on your head and it will grow to be two feet long. Shave the hair on your arm and somehow the hair knows when to stop growing to match the length of the sorounding hairs. The hair is dead the folical is alive yet the hair seems to comunicate that "everthing looks good from up here" and tells the folical to stop growing. Otherwise how does the folical know it's hair has been shaven and know when to start growing again?

If hair is dead then why will the hair on your arm know when to stop growing to match the length of the others

it's called genetics, baby. it's all in the genes.

If hair is dead then why will the hair on your arm know when to stop growing to match the length of the others

Genetic coding tells your cells what to do and where to go and all that.

If hair is dead then why will the hair on your arm know when to stop growing to match the length of the others

Ure an amazing guy yaaa - how the hell can you waste your time, yahoo time and jobless people answer you.Just let it grow man - who cares - shave t off later

If hair is dead then why will the hair on your arm know when to stop growing to match the length of the others

That's because the arms, legs and pubic hair is genetically programed to stop at a certain length and not exceed it. Another peculiar thing is that the hair in these regions is the last to go white and it never goes bald.

If hair is dead then why will the hair on your arm know when to stop growing to match the length of the others

It simply falls out after a certain length of time, sufficient for it to have grown to a certain length.

I think.

If hair is dead then why will the hair on your arm know when to stop growing to match the length of the others

Why do fingers stop growing when they reach a certain length...Why do our arms grow at the same pace and stop when they both reach a certain length...Why do we sweat when we are hot and shiver when we are cold...

It's all 'coded' into the makeup of our body. Things just happen certain ways and there is no easy answer to your question.

If hair is dead then why will the hair on your arm know when to stop growing to match the length of the others

Good question! and good logic! Somehow I think the mechanism that grows the hair on different parts of our bodies is within the cell structure of the folicle. This would include such factors as proteins and other organic substances that our bodies require to function properly being delivered or made on site by whatever cell is chemically programmed to do the particular job. The length and type of hair is all part of the program that these particular cells deliver and of course brain function must have something to do with it as well. Or is the function simply related to the peripheral nervous system? And in that case maybe the hair itself IS sensing it's surroundings and knows by FEEL, how long, when and where. Now being completely off topic, it never ceases to amaze me how our body hair has so much to do with who we are!

If hair is dead then why will the hair on your arm know when to stop growing to match the length of the others

It just does.

If hair is dead then why will the hair on your arm know when to stop growing to match the length of the others

well maybe they have a computer each, and they all have chat rooms.

weird ques dude

If hair is dead then why will the hair on your arm know when to stop growing to match the length of the others

they'v been well trained!

If hair is dead then why will the hair on your arm know when to stop growing to match the length of the others

Wow... try talking to them... ask them why they grow like that...
